Introduction: Clayton Football Club is a strong and proud community based club that was first established in 1908. As a community based club our aim is to offer a friendly, close knit supporter and business environment as the foundation for our traditionally successful football teams. Through networking of our supporters and local businesses, we endeavor to enhance the financial and social benefits of involvement with our great club. The mission of the Clayton Football Club is to promote the sport of Australian Rules Football for the benefit of participants no matter what level of skill. Club History: Since the Club s inception in 1908, it has had a long history of success on and off the field. Steeped in tradition, the Club has always played at Meade Reserve. Clayton Football Club Seniors - Premiers 2010 Currently, the Club plays in the First Division of the Southern Football League. The Club is determined to attract and maintain sponsorship, in a further bid to promote its success. This is particularly important as the Club enters 2015. In recent years, Clayton has participated in 11 Grand Finals, winning eight Premierships in 1980, 1981, 1982, 1984, 1993, 2001, 2006 and 2010. Clayton Reserves have a very impressive record winning Premierships in 1974, 1976, 1978, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1987, 1988, 2002, 2005 (Premiers & Champions) and 2006. Clayton Football Club Seniors - Premiers 2006 We have also developed many young footballers through our junior and senior ranks that have then gone on to play football at a higher level. The Clayton Football Club s players and administrators are committed to maintaining our successful tradition in Melbourne s Metropolitan Southern Football League. Club Structure: Clayton Football Club is a well organized team led by a strong and dedicated committee of management. Our Club fields 4 teams Seniors, Reserves, a Third Senior side, an Under 19 side and 2 girls netball sides. The netball girls won the Premiership - a Club highlight for 2014. Despite a tough 2014, our membership remains at high levels, with over 200 members. Match attendances at home games are very high. The Club has also been supported by many loyal sponsors; some have been with us for over five seasons and continue to commit. The Club remains indebted to these companies and individuals. You will notice their company logos throughout this package. Club Facilities: Clayton Football Club in any weather! The Club s headquarters are located at Meade Reserve, Haughton Road, Clayton. It is ideally situated next to the Dandenong/Cranbourne/Pakenham railway line, the Club is just 200 metres west of Clayton Railway Station and shopping centre. The Clayton Sporting Club facilities underwent a half million dollar renovation in 2001. It offers excellent bar and dining facilities for business and social functions, seating up to 115 people.

Clayton Football Club greatly appreciates all the financial backing from our sponsors over the years; and without sponsorship many local sporting clubs would not exist. Sponsorship of a local football rarely brings the financial benefits that high profile clubs can provide, but it is seen by many as a way of putting something back into the local community. Our Club includes many families and one such family is the Gilmours. Danny and Jayden Gilmour have been at the club for almost ten years, brother in law Jason Smith has been at the club even longer. Jayden is the club captain and Jason is Senior assistant coach after ending his playing career. The Club has been were approached by Tony Gilmour the father of Jayden and Danny with an offer of free business training for sponsors. Tony has volunteered his services. Bio. Tony is a psychotherapist who specialises in anxiety and depression and author of the book Tragic to Magic. Tony is also a sport psychotherapist and works with professional athletes worldwide. Tony conducts seminars for business including topics such as dealing with stress, motivation, leading people, building relationships, goal setting and time management. Tony has worked in engineering for most of his life before becoming the Managing Director of an international engineering company, a position he held for five years. After studying psychology to better understand his staff and clients, he changed vocations and has been working as a psychotherapist for over ten years in private practice in Dandenong.
