Honoree Nomination Information PRORODEO HALL OF FAME The Board of Trustees has outlined below the requirements and procedures for the nomination of qualified candidates into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame. For the purposes of this form, PRCA is meant to include Cowboy Turtles Association, Rodeo Cowboys Association, and Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Categories and Qualifying Prerequisites for Hall of Fame Nominees Contestants in each event & All Around Contestants must be retired from competing in rodeos. Stock Contractors Contract Personnel Examples: announcers, clowns, judges, timers, specialty acts, pickup men, secretaries. Rodeo Producers Rodeo Committee Persons Will be inducted as a Notable. Eligibility is based on individual's contributions to the sport while serving as a member of his/her local committee. Rodeo Committees Rodeo committees as a whole may be nominated for induction. They must have at least 20 years of PRCA membership to be eligible. Notables Eligibility based on individual's contributions to the sport of PRCA rodeo. Example: Persons who have made significant contributions toward the advancement of PRCA rodeo who are not otherwise eligible in other categories. COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q. Who may nominate a candidate? A. Anyone may nominate a worthy candidate. Q. How do I go about making the nomination? A. Request an official nomination form from the Associate Director of the ProRodeo Hall of Fame, 101 Pro Rodeo Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80919, (719) 528-4764. Q. When is the form due back at the Hall of Fame? A. January 31st of each calendar year. Q. What happens next? A. Nominations are submitted to and reviewed by the national screening committee during the month of March. A candidate must receive at least five of these seven votes to be presented to the Board of Trustees. Q. When will the induction take place? A. Normally on a Saturday during the month of July. Q. Is the Induction Ceremony open to the public? A. Yes. Rodeo Stock Must have been owned by PRCA contractor and attained distinguished records at PRCA rodeos.
