Governance Report Current Constitution Proposed Revision Rationale Current Logo New BTSC Logo Reflect new BTSC Logo in alignment with overall club branding strategy. ARTICLE III: MEMBERSHIP Section 4. Honorary Membership, without fees, in the Barrie Trojan Swim Club may be awarded by a general meeting of the voting membership upon the recommendation of the Board. ARTICLE IV: OFFICERS Section 1: The Board will consist of a minimum of seven (7) and no more than eleven (11) elected from the voting membership, a Past Chairperson. ARTICLE III: MEMBERSHIP Section 4. (rev. Oct `15) Honorary Membership, without fees, in the Barrie Trojan Swim Club may be awarded by a general meeting of the voting membership upon the recommendation of the Board. An Honorary Member has all voting member rights. Honorary Members retain their membership for a maximum of four years at which time they may be re- awarded by a general meeting of the voting membership upon the recommendation of the Board. ARTICLE IV: OFFICERS Section 1: (rev. Oct `15) The Board will consist of a minimum of seven (7) and no more than eleven (11) elected from the voting membership and a Past Chairperson. Oct `15) a) To become a Director of the Barrie Trojan Swim Club a person must be a voting member of the club. b) Any individual who receives remuneration from the Barrie Trojan Swim Club for duties performed in not eligible to serve as a Director of the Board. Oct `15) a) To become a Director of the Barrie Trojan Swim Club a person must be a voting member or Honorary Member of the club. b) Any individual who receives remuneration from the Barrie Trojan Swim Club for duties performed in not eligible to serve as a Director of the Board. To clarify that an Honorary Member to become a Director of the Board and to clarify at which point in time the Past Chairperson may stand for election to the Board. c) Two board positions may not be filled by representatives of the same family. d) The members of the Board may be elected for no more than two (2) consecutive terms. Develop a Pool Access Plan & established 2015/2016 goals with ultimate focus on establishing a 50m pool in the Simcoe County area.
