Friday 9 th June 2017 www.appaacommittee@gmail.com ARK PRIORY PRIMARY ACADEMY ASSOCIATION Many thanks to all of you who helped and bought at the Ice Cream/Lolly sale last Friday before half term, which raised 225.41. This money, along with all the other bake sale and lolly sale earnings, will be used to subsidise trips and enrichment for the 2017-18 school year, split evenly across the year groups. APPAA Bingo Night - Thursday 15th June! In the School Hall, from 7.30pm Tickets can be reserved NOW (via email to appaacommittee@gmail.com) and are on sale all of next week (up to and including Thursday) in the playground at drop off and/or pick up, priced at 12.50, which includes a drink on arrival, a two course meal (cooked by the academy chef, Louise Tomkins) and BINGO - with PRIZES to be won! Payments can be made in cash or via bank transfer* In response to feedback, we will be doing fewer games of bingo this year so there is more time to socialise. There will also be a cash bar. This is the last Ark Priory evening social of the year, so do come along to celebrate! All funds raised from the Bingo evening will go towards floodlighting and astro-turfing the games area, making it a safer, more flexible area for playtime, clubs and sport. It will also enable Ark Priory to host sports' fixtures in the future, as well as being able to use the space for clubs and activities in the dark winter months. Upcoming Events for your Diary... Thursday 15 th June BINGO NIGHT! School hall 7.30pm Saturday 1 st July Summer Fair 11 3pm Friday 14 th July 3pm Nursery Bake Sale P.S. If you are able to help in any way (to sell tickets, do some bingo calling, set up or clear up, help on the bar etc), please let us know. It would be hugely appreciated. *Payment Details for Bank Transfer (Reference 'BINGO'): Account: APPAA Sort code: 23-05-80 Account No.: 13386072 Page 1 of 7

INTERNATIONAL FOOD STALL Following the popularity of the international food stall at the Easter Fair, we are again asking our multi-cultural, culinary, talented parents and carers to rustle up those delicious delights for us to sample at the Summer Fair. From spicy sausage rolls to German pretzels to Lebanese chicken wraps anything to tantalize those taste buds... ARK ARTISAN We will be doing this popular stall again this summer with a wizarding, Harry Potter theme. Get inspired and start thinking about the amazing creations you can come up with. HERBOLOGY/PLANTS Page 3 of 7
