Last Tuesday morning Jennifer woke up feeling strange, and ended up at the hospital. They monitored her and everything seemed fine, but they gave her a 24-hour urine test to complete. When the results came back on Friday, her doctor took her off work and put her on complete bed rest for the remainder of her pregnancy. Her protein count was too high, indicating pre-eclampsia. Today she went to the doctor and they said they will check her and Norah twice/week, and that the longest they will let her carry is 38 weeks. If at any point they feel that she (or Norah) is in jeopardy, they will recommend immediate delivery. Norah is 3lbs 11oz right now, so she is viable, but we definitely don't want to deliver yet. Right now Jennifer is to remain on 24/7 bed rest, only getting up for restroom visits and meals, and is only to leave her house for doctor visits and pre-approved activities (she did get permission to attend her shower on March 24!). They really want her to carry until at least 36 weeks, which would be mid-april. Please pray for Jennifer, her husband Jared (who is now taking on all household chores in addition to his full-time job), and baby Norah that all will be well and she will keep gestating until 38 weeks (around April 24-25). Thanks Tammy & Jeff Holcomb

Presidential Address Amazing how time flies, this past six months has flown by and we are now ready to begin a new six months with the new slate of officers and as new presidents, Ken & I would like to start by asking for your support and patience as we work our way through this new adventure. We are so thankful for the experienced & capable board to work with, I m sure they will be able to guide us through the coming six months. Special request: We need someone to serve as Marketing Coordinator and also someone to serve as Telephone Coordinator. If you would consider serving our club in either of these capacities, please contact me. March was a busy and good month for the Kuzzins. Lessons are progressing and we have had a good turnout of angels each week. Thank you to all who have come out to help and provide refreshments. Our St. Patrick s Day Dance was a success. We had 42 guests and a great crowd of Kuzzins. Thank you to Jerry & Sally Malone & Mike & Pat Pediman for the great decorations and to the refreshment committee: the Stewart's, Campbell s, Carlson s, & the Crockrell's for all the good food. Several couples attended the GRAM Seminar in Ft. Worth on March 4 th, concerning methods for effective recruiting, growth and retention. Speakers Jim & Marcia Langdon provided information on marketing ideas they used to grow their club from 13 to over 200 members in 5 years. We found that several of the ideas they presented we have already incorporated & some of the information would probably not apply to our club or demographics, however, there is a list of 165 ideas that we can study and hopefully find useful before we start on lessons recruiting. We visited the Diamond Jubileers for their Anniversary Dance on the 10 th & brought their banner home with us. Our next scheduled visitation will be on March 30 th with Circle I. Mark your calendars and plane to attend. We will have only 1 planned visitation for April on the 14 th with the Dixie Chainers for their 52nd Luau. Grand March for this dance will be at 7 PM Don t forget our 39 th Anniversary Dance is just around the corner (May 4 th ). Be sure to see the sign up sheet for food and other work needed. There are 2 seats left on the Mystery Bus Trip. See Joanne Patrick if you are interested. Thank you again for the opportunity to serve you this coming 6 months. Happy Dancing. Ken & Betty Hoffman 4/25/12 WANTED: A square dancer (female) to wear a Kussin Kuzzin jacket, former worn by Judy Hancock size Medium. Please call Joanne Patrick (214) 785-3924 if you re interested. Sally has a white polo with the Kissin Kuzzins logo on the left shoulder like the ones some of the Kuzzins where from time to time. It is a size Medium and has been never worn. If someone would like to have it, please call Sally (972-790-2453).

Glen & Wy Nel are in charge of the Salad Supper for that night. She needs double recipes of salad and help serving. Wy Nel will have a sign up list at the dances in April. Be sure to sign up for a salad and KP duty. Jimmy & Glenda have been asked to handle door prizes. Glenda Stewart will be collecting $10.00 per couple and will do the shopping for gifts. Please get your money to her as soon as possible so that she will have ample time to select the assorted door prizes. Also remember that all Kuzzins need to stay and help with the clean up. We are looking forward to a real FIESTA. Our students will be graduating on May 8th after a great set of lessons. Several ladies who are no longer dancing have asked about donating clothes they no longer can use. Nelda and I thought we could put them out at graduation for anyone who might like to have them with a donation to the club. Anyone who would like to uncluttered your closet, just give Sally a call (972-790-2453) or bring them the night of graduation. We will set up a table with a donation jar.
