Our Problems and Solutions 1) Clients applying for turkey were incorrectly charged for licenses: Problem: Clients applying in turkey that already owned a license and edited their demographics a second time were incorrectly charged for a Resource Enhancement Stamp and sold a license at no cost. Scope: 2 Clients Cause: Programming error Short Term Resolution: Clients contacted, licenses voided and fees refunded Long Term Resolution: Programming corrected and QA scripts updated. 75

Our Problems and Solutions 2) Big Game application deadline slowness complaints: Problem: During portions of the last two days of the full application period, clients experienced unacceptable web site performance and our phone system suffered intermittent errors. Scope: Approximately 125 unique complaints were received. Cause: SQL servers were overwhelmed by the volume of traffic generated on the last days. Short Term: Each client that reported experiencing problems while entering applications was contacted and given the opportunity to submit applications for themselves or their party members after the deadline. (90 Clients) Long Term Resolution: 1) Testing developed to reproduce the symptoms seen at the close of Big Game 2) Comparison of UT and NV web sites conducted to pinpoint differences 3) SQL lookups are being modified to lessen the load on the server 76

Scope: 22 Clients Cause: Testing oversight Short Term Resolution: Clients submitting bonus point applications during this window were allowed to correct their applications to full applications. Scope: 6 clients had tags reallocated without receiving declined credit card calls Cause: Programming error in desktop application Short Term Resolution: Clients allowed to pay for their tags if they wanted them. Long Term Resolution: Programming corrected. 78
