Pre Free Skate Through Gold Pre Free Skate through Gold level students (ages 6-19) must register according to the last Compulsory test level passed. Enroll one class higher than the last test passed, unless approved by the skating director. If in doubt, register for the class your child was in for fall 2010; we will advance your child when they are tested. Skaters will not be admitted into the next higher class without having been tested by a Skatium class teacher. Skaters who have passed ISI Freestyle 5, US Free Skate 6 must register for the Bronze level of skating. Instructors will determine which skaters should be placed in the Silver and Gold Classes. Selection will be based on skill level. Skaters who are planning on trying out for a solo in the 2011 Ice Show and who are registered in the Bronze, Silver and Gold levels MUST also be registered in a power class for the fall, winter and spring sessions. The USFS Basic Skill levels are comparable to the ISI levels. Bronze, Silver and Gold registrants will need to demonstrate the class skills from their last test level on the first day of class to certify their ability to participate in a high level class. Skaters who do not meet the requirements for the class will be placed in the appropriate level.
