I want to thank Lisa, Kelly and Austin for hosting the February Rally at Guajome Regional Park. With the help of their co-host, Mark and Marcia and Mother Nature for providing fabulous weather, all had a fun weekend. On Saturday after lunch, Jaclynn and I joined Bill and Patti Beatty for a visit to the Antique Gas and Steam Engine Museum. It s a fascinating place; with its collecting of antique farm equipment both gas and steam. We ended up spending much of our time in the Steam Traction Barn, checking out the large Steam Tractors that replaced the horse for the heaviest work during the period from 1860 through 1924. We were only able to see about a third of the museum and I look forward to visiting again. The March Rally will be at Sweetwater Summit Campground on March 11 th and 12 th, hosted by Abe and Veronica Hernandez. They have a great weekend planned so join them if you can. There are a few business items to consider. During the past few months we have discussed the idea of using PayPal to collect Rally fees, but after due consideration it does not seem that this would be a benefit to the club and may make it more difficult for the rally hosts. Therefore we will not establish a PayPal account at this time. Also we still need to identify someone to represent us at this year s International Rally this June 28 through July 5 in Lewisburg West Virginia. If you plan to attend, please let me know. I hope to find someone willing to represent the club at the International Rally, as Jaclynn and I will not be able to attend. Jaclynn and I will be hosting the May Rally in Borrego Springs, and we are looking for a co-host. If you can help, let us know. Jaclynn and I will see everyone at the Sweetwater Summit Rally meeting on Saturday March 12 th. 2016 Officers and Trustees 1st VP 2nd VP Secretary 1st Yr Trustees 2nd Yr Trustees Membership WebMaster Newsletter Kelly C Reiko S Grace D Hal M and Donna W Jaclyn R and Yasin L Dan S Joe T Veronica H 2
