IN THE STATE COURT OF FORSYTH COUNTY STATE OF GEORGIA INTERNAL OPERATING PROCEDURE 99-9 RE: CASH BOND FORFEITURES FOR GAME/FISH VIOLATIONS, MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATIONS AND CERTAIN COUNTY ORDINANCES ORDER Pursuant to O.C.G.A. 17-6-8, cash bonds which are posted in the amounts and for the offenses listed on Exhibit "A" attached hereto, except for "" offenses, shall be forfeited upon the defendant's failure to appear for arraignment and the same is ordered to be disposed of as any other fine would be. It is further ordered that each forfeiture hereunder, shall constitute a settlement and disposition of the case. In the event a cash bond is not posted for the offenses listed on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and further in the event the defendant fails to appear on the date summoned, the Solicitor General shall prepare a bench warrant which shall issue, instanter, except for the motor vehicle registration offenses. In the event of a failure to appear in vehicle registration cases, the Clerk of Court shall treat such cases in the same manner as TVB cases and issue a DPS - 912 form. In the event the defendant later comes to pay the fine, court costs of $50.00 plus surcharges shall be assessed in the same manner as all TVB cases.
