L COMMANDER STEVE CARMAN AUXILIARY PRESIDENT CATHIE McMULLIN COMMANDERS REPORT: Greetings, Well, we had a slow August, but things are starting to pick up in September! We have some great events please look at the calendar and entities messages in the Newsletter. Rudy is also adding to the menu, so please check his message for details. On Sep 17 th, we will have our Annual Redneck Day and Rib Cook-off we had a great time last year! This is the opportunity for Ken and Doug to deliver on their rib trash-talking, or get burnt in the flames (like their ribs), in pursuit of the coveted RIBMASTER patch! The weather should be cooler this year, so come on out and be a rib eating Redneck! We are looking at some additional measures that we can report on monthly in addition to the revenue report hope to have that finalized soon. Thanks for your continued participation and patronage of our Post! For God and Country, Bill Moore, Commander RIBMASTER Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people s liberty teeth and keystone under independence. George Washington

Our 2nd annual Redneck Day and Rib Cook-off will be on September 17th. There is a sign up sheet at the bar. There will also be a variety of fun and games for Redneck Day. So come on out, bring a healthy appetite and get your redneck on!! We are having Margarita Mondays! Come in and enjoy a nice cold margarita for $2.00 to go along with Rudy's Mexican menu. On Monday's we also offer your first draft free when you order lunch. AMERICAN LEGION RIDERS NEWS Greetings Riders, September is upon us and cooler riding weather is just around the bend! Going to have to start getting ready for our Northern Brothers and Sisters return back to the sunshine state. I see a lot of riding in our future. As most of you know we have gone through some changes at Chapter 1. Our Director Ken Shoemaker was diagnosed with a serious health issue and needed to resign his position, I was then appointed as Director for the remainder of the term. I have been a Post 1 Rider for 7 years and served as Secretary last year. We are staying in close contact with Ken and will offer him as much support as we can. Our next Bike Day Sept 10 th is going to be a good one! DON T FORGET, We will be having the event from 3 7 pm. We are trying to avoid some the remaining summer heat. We have a great band playing--the SADDLE BAND--they have a good following and will hopefully draw a good crowd. So tell your friends to come on by and grab some of RIBMASTER Bill s Ribs that we are selling from 5-7 pm. Come early so you don t miss out The Chapter is already gearing up for the big NVHS Poker Run in November, Big Raffle Items are being secured and several riders have already gone out and started securing the Poker run stops and hanging flyers.
