Welcome to the Aquatic Center! The Aquatic Center is equipped with two warm water pools averaging 91-92 degrees and a 102 degree whirlpool. The facility is equipped with handrails, ramps and a lift for easy pool access. Table of Contents The program guide is organized by classes under specific health focus areas which are color coded. Class Registration & Payment In person registration is mandatory. Due to our first come, first served policy, we cannot accept registrations over the phone. Registration continues throughout the session as space is available at a prorated rate. The fall session is 12 weeks long. Classes run for 45 minutes, once per week. Classes are $72. Drop into any class for $8, unless otherwise noted. Payment is due at time of registration (cash, check, credit card). A fee of $15 will be charged for all insufficient fund transfers. Patrons will not be allowed access to the aquatic facilities until payment is made. Classes, dips, passes and makeups may ONLY be used by the registered member who owns the account. Accounts are nontransferrable. Class Cancellation Due to insufficient enrollment, classes will not run with less than four enrolled participants. Registrants will be notified in advance if a class is canceled, and will be allowed either a credit, refund or class switch. Please visit wearecp.org for the current programming schedule. 3

Class Make-Up Policy, Pass Extensions & Credits Any credit given must be used within one (1) year or will expire. Credits, refunds or extensions must be accompanied by a written note from your medical provider. Pass extension requests must be made while the pass is current. Expired passes will not be extended. Missed classes may be made up during open or group swim, independent exercise or from our list of make-up classes. Make-up classes must be completed during the existing session. Missed classes are not carried over to the next session, nor are they credited or refunded. Credit, refunds or extensions will not be given for closures due to mechanical failure, inclement weather, holidays or any other issues beyond our control. Start browsing our class offerings...

Aquatic Therapy Aquatic Therapy consists of three focus areas, each designed to help you meet your wellness goals. Aquatic Therapy Focus Areas: 1 Therapeutic Exercise 2 Alternative Aquatic Therapy 3 Aquatic Physical Therapy 1 Therapeutic Exercise Group classes for those with general health concerns or low fitness levels. Classes are led by certified instructors. JOINT MOTION Pool 1 $72 Warm water exercise program that helps increase flexibility, range of motion, endurance and decrease joint stiffness. This class allows you to exercise without putting a strain on your joints and muscles. Aquatic Therapy JOINT MOTION PLUS Pool 1 $72 Joint Motion PLUS adds exercises that may incorporate equipment and an endurance component to the original Joint Motion exercise program. Aquatic Therapy Therapeutic Exercise Classes Continued W.E.T. VETS Pool 2 $60 Water Exercise Training is designed to build camaraderie for service men and women through a program which promotes cardiorespiratory fitness, endurance, strength and muscle toning with minimal stress to the joints. This class will benefit veterans recovering from an injury or facing chronic health issues. Wednesday 8:15 9:00 a.m. 2 Alternative Aquatic Therapy Work privately with our Adaptive Aquatics Specialist on exercises designed to help improve functional independence for those with physical, cognitive, sensory or other healthrelated impairments. Beginning Assessment - $60 (1.5 hours) This one time assessment is an opportunity for individuals requiring attendants and/or assistance, to develop exercise skills to use during open swim times or to move to an appropriate class. One-On-One Adaptive - $55 (1 hour) Our one-on-one adaptive instruction fosters physical fitness, motor skill development and pain management education that are specific to improving functional independence and self-esteem for people with physical, cognitive, sensory or other health-related impairments. Aquatic Therapy 3 Aquatic Physical Therapy Working with a physical therapist specifically trained in aquatic therapy, clients will develop personalized, functional goals and work toward improving mobility, strength, balance and coordination. Aquatic physical therapy can be beneficial to add to a current physical therapy program or can offer further treatment once physical therapy is completed. Please contact our intake specialist at (920) 337-1122 x1220 to determine if aquatic physical therapy is right for you. Specialized Exercise Specialized Exercise are group classes where exercises are designed to focus on a specific health condition such as the back, knees or hips. MOVING AHEAD Pool 1 $72 Warm water exercise for people who are post stroke or who have had head trauma or a balance deficiency. Water walking, flexibility, coordination and balance are stressed. This class is not one-on-one instruction. If the participant needs hand on assistance in the water, they are required to bring an attendant. Specialized Exercise PAIN MANAGEMENT Pool 1 $72 Ease your pain by improving your strength, posture, flexibility and joint mobility while working in warm water at low intensity. Time for relaxation and improved breathing techniques are incorporated. This class is helpful for those with chronic pain conditions and fibromyalgia. Monday Wednesday 7:00 7:45 p.m. 12:15 1:00 p.m. H20 HIP & KNEE Pool 1 $72 This class blends full range of motion hip and knee exercises with movement to help build and maintain stamina. Participants are encouraged to exercise at their own intensity level. This class is recommended for people with hip and knee issues and post-surgical recovery, as well as those living with diabetes. Specialized Exercise PARKINSON S & NEURO Pool 2 $72 Designed for people with Parkinson s and/or neurological disorders. Exercises in this class focus on walking routines, posture, coordination, range of motion and balance. Social interaction is encouraged through speech activities. AQUA FIT Pool 1 & 2 $72 Focuses on cardiovascular and strength training. The properties of water help strengthen the muscles in all directions, using noodles, weights and other equipment to burn fat, build muscle and have fun. Health & Wellness AQUA ZUMBA Pool 1 $72 It s a new spin on water exercise! You supply the energy, we supply the fun! Class is choreographed to Latin and world music for you to dance to at your own pace. Higher and lower intensity options are offered. Tuesday 12:15 1 p.m. WATER YOGA Pool 1 $72 Manage your stress and improve your flexibility, breathing, balance and muscle tone with the practices of Yoga, Ai Chi and Qi Gong. All skill levels welcome. Monday Wednesday Thursday 6:45 7:30 a.m. 7:30-8:15 a.m. 12:15 1:00 p.m. New Time! DEEP WATER VOLLEYBALL Pool 2 - $72 Bump, set, spike! This class is not only FUN, but an incredible workout, with zero impact. Participants wear a flotation belt, a volleyball net is set up, and a beach ball is used. Health & Wellness DEEP WATER Pool 2 $72 A moderate plus intensity workout that is zero impact. Class includes cardiovascular and strengthening exercises; all done in deep water with float belts. This is a great full body workout utilizing the core muscles. Participants must feel comfortable in deep water. Monday 4:15 5:00 p.m. New FRIDAY FUSION Pool 1 $72 Kickboxing, HITT (high intensity interval training) and resistance training all fused into one high energy class! Class includes shallow and deep water cardio and strength components, using a variety of equipment. If you re up for the challenge, this class is for you! Friday 12:15-1:00 p.m. 12

Swim Classes The Aquatic Center offer many types of Swim Classes to fit your needs and your schedule. Classes are guided or led by a trained instructor. GROUP SWIM LESSONS $72 Group swim classes are designed to help children gain confidence in the water, become familiar with water and develop basic swim skills. Children must be able to sit independently and wait for their turn. Classes are not available for drop-ins or makeups (See instructor on how to make up a class). BEGINNER I Children will learn to put their faces in the water and float, to kick on their backs (fin kick) and work on arm strokes with their face in the water. We will also learn basic water safety. Class is limited to five students ages 3+. Swim Classes BEGINNER II Children will begin side breathing with the front crawl. The backstroke will be introduced as well as practicing treading water. Swimming in deep water will also be reviewed. Class is limited to five children ages 3+. Prerequisite: children must be able to kick across the pool on their backs with minimal assistance. Children must also be able to swim at least four arm strokes (front crawl). Thursday 5:45-6:15 p.m. Pool 2 INTERMEDIATE Children will build on skills learned in Beginner II. The focus will be on strengthening the front crawl and backstroke, as well as treading water for 30 seconds. The elementary backstroke and diving will also be introduced. More advanced swimmers will also work on the sidestroke and breast stroke. This class is for swimmers who are working on strengthening basic strokes and ready to learn something new. Class is limited to five students ages 5+. Prerequisite: Children must be able to swim the front crawl and backstroke for 25 yards and be comfortable swimming in deep water. Thursday 6:30-7:00 p.m. Pool 2 New Time! SWIM CLA 14

Swim Classes PARENT & CHILD SWIM ACADEMY $72 Spend quality time with your child learning skills that you can practice together at the end of each class. Skills learned and time spent together will last a lifetime. These classes are not available for dropins. Only one adult is allowed to participate with child at no additional cost. A second adult may join the class by purchasing an open swim pass (see page 18). Level 1 Ages 6 months 3 years Teach your child to be comfortable in the water with songs, games and play. Learn basic safety and pre-swimming skills. Child must be accompanied in the water by one adult. The first 30 minutes is instructor lead, while the last 15 minutes are play time. Class not available for drop-ins. This 5-dip pass is sold only to students enrolled in swim lessons at the Aquatic Center. The dips allow students to practice swim time with one supervising adult in the water. Things to Know GIFT CERTIFICATES Gift certificates are available for purchase at the Aquatic desk and can be used towards any aquatic services. PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOTAPE POLICY CP reserves the right to photograph and/or videotape adults and children participating in our events and programs. Images may be used in promotional materials, advertising and on CP s website and social media platforms. The use of digital cameras, camcorders, cell phones and other electronic devices capable of producing an image are prohibited in the Aquatic Center locker rooms and restrooms. WHIRLPOOL USE Class participants may use the whirlpool before and after their paid class time. Please adhere to the 15 minute locker room rule (page 26). If you would like to stay longer for an open swim or independent exercise time, please pay at the Aquatic desk prior to entrance. See posted regulations for detailed whirlpool use. POOL RESTRICTIONS Jumping into the pool is permitted only under direct supervision of pool staff. For your safety, if any of the following conditions exist, entry to the pool will not be permitted: Fever, diarrhea, open sores, blood infections, infectious diseases, bowel incontinence, urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, uncontrolled seizure activity, menstruation without internal protection, fluctuating blood pressure not controlled by medication. Please see the Manager of Aquatics for clarification. LOST & FOUND Lost items can be claimed at the Aquatic desk or pool office up to 30 days after it is found. 25

Things to Know LOCKER ROOMS Private and family friendly locker rooms are available for your needs. CP is not responsible for lost or stolen items. We suggest bringing a lock for your valuables or leave them at home. You may enter the locker rooms as early as 15 minutes before your scheduled pool time. POOL PATRON ATTENDANTS Patrons requiring assistance on deck, in the water or in the locker rooms must be accompanied by an attendant for assistance. The Aquatic Center does not provide this service. Please note that CP does not charge for attendants as a courtesy. Attendants must stay within an arm s reach of the pool patron at all times. Attendants not consistently performing this service will be charged an entry fee. WHEELCHAIRS Wheelchairs are available at the Aquatic Center entrance for your use during your pool time. POOL ETIQUETTE All patrons must shower before entering the pool and after using the restrooms before re-entering the pool. No street shoes are allowed on deck. Family friendly swim wear is required. SWIM BRIEFS Swim briefs and diaper covers are available for purchase at the Aquatic desk. Various sizes: Infant Adult. 26
