COMPETITION INFORMATION Training Dates: March 13-14, 2018 at Shizuoka Prefectural Fuji Swimming Pools Training Schedule: 8:00-12:00 and 15:00-19:00 Technical Meeting: The HMF/OC shall organize a Technical Meeting on March 14, 2018 at 10:00 (24 Hours prior to the first competition of the Event), to be held at Venue. The FINA TDC Commission shall chair this meeting. ATHLETE MEDICAL SERVICES Medical service will be available at the Venue during training and competition days for divers. The designated hospital will be: Fuji City General Hospital 50 Takashima-cho, Fuji City, Shizuoka 417-8567 JAPAN Lifeguards will be onsite at the competition venue to provide first aid during training and competition. A doctor will be onsite at the venue during competition times to provide medical treatment. DIVERS AND TEAM OFFICIALS SEATING The seats for competitors and coaches will be provided on pool deck. EVENT INFORMATION DESK Event Information Desk will operate at the Venue during training and competition days. ACCREDITATION, ACCREDITATION DESK Accreditation desk will be available at the Venue. RULES The FINA Diving World Series will be conducted under FINA rules. JUDGES Scoring: Seven (7) judges are used for individual competitions and scores should be calculated according to FINA Diving Rules D 7.5. Nine (9) judges are used for synchronised competition and scores should be calculated according to FINA Diving Rules D 7.7. PRIZE MONEY Local Prize Money: The HMF/OC shall provide and pay prize money to a total of USD 120 000 at each Event to be divided between all of the 10 individual and synchro events, as follows: 1 st place: USD 5 000 2 nd place: USD 4 000 3 rd place: USD 3 000 Sub-Total USD 12 000 Total x 10 events = USD 120 000
Overall Prize Money: FINA shall pay the overall prize money of USD 870 000 to be divided between all of the 10 individual and synchro events, as follows: 1 st place: USD 30 000 2 nd place: USD 20 000 3 rd place USD 15 000 4 th place USD 10 000 5 th place USD 7 000 6 th place USD 5 000 Sub-Total USD 87 000 Total x 10 Events=USD 870 000 A diver participating in an Individual Event is entitled to the overall prize money only if he/she takes part in all the meets of the Series. If a diver for reason of illness or injury is forced to withdraw part way through an event, the athlete will be deemed participated and will still be eligible for the prize pot as long as they participate in the remaining legs. For synchronised events, overall prize money will be paid only if a national federation s team takes part in all the meets of the Series. If a withdrawal is due to an injury, the athlete should provide a certificate signed by the event doctor as a record of attendance at the event and qualification for the overall prize money. VISA INFORMATION Visa assistance will be provided to those National Federations that have completed the registration process in the FINA GMS by the specified registration deadline. This includes the submission of all mandatory data such as photo and an electronic scan of each person s passport. TRANSPORTATION Transportation between Tokyo International Airport (Haneda) and the official hotel will be provided for teams arrival and departure. It takes approximately 2 hours between the airport and the hotel. Beside this, ground transportation from the hotel to the venue will be also provided. ACCOMMODATION AND MEALS According to the FINA rules, the Organizing Committee will provide full board accommodation (3 meals per day) for all qualified divers and one team leader/coach for each participating nation. The official accommodation period will be as follows: Arrival: March 12, 2018 (check-in time 15:00) Departure: March 18, 2018 (check-out time 10:00) Please note divers from the same federation who are of the same gender will be accommodated in twin rooms. Reservations for additional accommodation will be available and it will require charges for these nights. For Delegates and Judges: Hotel Grand Fuji 8-1, Heigakihoncho, Fuji City, Shizuoka 416-0913 JAPAN This is a 4-star hotel. It is about 20 minute drive to the pool. For Teams: Hotel Route Inn Fuji 81-1, Nagatacho, Fuji City, Shizuoka 417-0055 JAPAN This is a 4-star hotel. It is about 15 minute drive to the pool.
