a letter from our membership director Summer is nearly in full-swing, though Mother Nature clearly did not get the memo! The severe thunderstorms and tornadoes at the end of May delayed our kick-off to the fun-filled pool season, but we will have many days of sun and fun to come. I am excited to have purchased a new slide for the kids and we have a great group of lifeguards to keep everyone safe and happy this summer! We are fortunate to have Charlotte Braddock returning to teach water aerobics this summer and I hope to see all sessions of the swim lessons full. Let s not forget that we have some great opportunities for all ages on the golf course too! The June golf schedule is busy with several events and tournaments, so be sure to check-in with Scott to sign up for these great opportunities. We will have the annual Father s Day Build-a-Boat at the pool on Sunday, June 19th. We are offering two Kidz Klubs, one on Thursday, June 16th and the next on Friday, June 24th. Be sure to take advantage of these great date nights! Dave has already begun planning the July 3rd and 4th festivities as well; I believe this year will top 2015! This is a great opportunity to showcase the Club to your friends and family, bring a guest or a few and give them a firsthand look at the benefit of belonging to MCC. Be Well, Christina Hodges Membership Director/Office Manager christina@themanhattancountryclub.com Save the date! a letter from our food & beverage department Summer is here and we have several great events planned. June brings us Member-Guest Tournament. This year we will be cooking lunch at the Fairway house during play on Friday and Saturday. Friday night we will feature a crawfish boil and bbq chicken dinner around the pool, this will close the pool to all other members at 5pm. Saturday night is the awards dinner, which will be a great steak dinner with dueling pianos for entertainment. As a reminder, we will be stocking the pro shop with breakfast sandwiches on Saturdays all summer. The pool is now open and in full swing, as always we will be serving delicious food and cold drinks from the Cabana. There are several new items on the pool menu this year that are sure to please. As always if there is anything the kitchen can do to make your club experience more enjoyable, please feel free to ask. We can handle most requests, but they may take a few more minutes. With all the busy summer schedules our Uncork and Unwind dinners will resume later in the fall. There are just too many holidays and special events in the summer to try and squeeze in a wine dinner, but they will be back! We are even working on doing a beer tasting or maybe a bourbon tasting dinner as well. If there is anything I can do for you, please feel free to drop by the kitchen and let me know. Chelsea can be reached in the office or via email with any special event or service requests! Remember, the pool is a great place for a family dinner or a child s birthday party. Happy Summer! Jamaican Pool Party Saturday, July 23rd! Food and drinks start at 6:00p.m. Kenrick plays 7:00p.m. to 10:00p.m. Kenrick From Muzizi is back! Enjoy a summer night at the pool, kid Free with the whole MCC Staff!

a letter from our grounds superintendent June is here and summer time temperatures are soon to follow. We have been doing our best to keep up with the mowing and everyday operations here on the course. With the rainfall we have had a few days where carts have needed to say on the cart paths. We appreciate your cooperation during those times. A few upcoming events we are looking forward to are the Men s Member Guest on June 16th-18th and the Ladies Member-Member on June 25th. We would also like to thank all members who donated their time during our sand and seed party. If you have any questions or comments please contact us at the maintenance facility.
