Rules & General Information 1. Entry fees are $15 per class unless otherwise noted. Non-refundable office fee $10. 2. Back number required for all horses. Non-competing horses $15 schooling fee. 3. Proof of negative Coggins dated within 2 years of show date. 4. Show is held rain or shine. 5. Champion and Reserve for each division except Trail, Hunter Derby, Hunt Teams, and Gambler s Choice. 6. Martingales are not permitted in under saddle classes. 7. Heeled boots and ASTM certified helmet required whenever mounted. IN ADDITION, EVERYONE UNDER 18 MUST WEAR A HELMET IN ORDER TO COMPETE IN ANY CLASS, INCLUDING WESTERN DIVISIONS. 8. The Horse Park of New Jersey, its owners, operators, employees, and other entities will not be responsible for damage, injury, or loss to any person, animal or property of exhibitors or spectators occurring at this show. 9. Dogs must be on a leash. $20 NO LEASH FINE 10. Entry forms available at www.horseparkofnewjersey.com 11. The Show Committee reserves the right to cancel, combine, change location or add any classes or schooling as deemed necessary. 12. There is a $35.00 fee for each returned check. 13. Trail Challenge Course Schedule 9 a.m. Schooling 12p.m. In-hand class 1p.m. Trail Challenge Class 9am to 11:30am Trail course open for schooling. Schooling is open to all riders and handlers for $5.00 per 5mins on course. Fee taken at the ring. Riders must have a back number to enter the course. 25. In-Hand Trail Class Entry Fee $10 Open to all horse and handlers. Course is set and designed to let horses go through spooky obstacles in-hand, perfect for beginners and green horses. Wine Country Cowgirls Sponsored Trail Challenge 26. WCC Trail Challenge Class Entry Fee $20 Open to all riders, horses and ponies, western and English Proper Schooling attire is required. Course to be judged on manners of mount and communication between horse and rider. Limit of 5 min to complete the course, judge s discretion for point accumulation/deductions. Rider has option to have 2 go arounds only. Walk/trot only. 3 refusals = disqualification For gate obstacle, one hand must remain on gate at all times, loss of control of gate will result in point deduction. Order of riders will be determined by gate steward. Monmouth Hunt Club Sponsored Hunt Teams Class 10 MHC Team Class Entry Fee $20 per rider. Open to all. Fence height 2 3. Teams consist of 2 riders per team and costumes are encouraged! Prizes 1 st $50 to each rider. Ribbons 1-6 High Hunter Open to all. Fence height not to exceed 2 6 Class 11 High Hunter Over Fences Class 12 High Hunter Over Fences Class 13 High Hunter Under Saddle Grand Champion and Reserve Champion Monmouth Hunt Club Sponsored Hunter Derby Class 14 MHC Hunter Derby Entry Fee is $20 Open to all. Riders must have entered into at least one other class at the selected fence height to participate in the derby. Show coat and tall dress boots required. Braiding optional. The class will be judged at a 2 3 height and a 2 6 height combined. The 2 3 height section will run after class 8 Low Hunter Over Fences and 2 6 will run after class 12 High Hunter Over Fences. One height selection per horse. Class awarded after class 13 High Hunter Under Saddle. Laurel Crest Farm Sponsored Gamblers Choice Class 24 - LCF Gamblers Choice - Entry Fee $20.00 Open to all. Riders must have entered into one or more classes starting at 2 3 to participate. Fence height between 2 3, 2 6, and 3 options. Each jump on course will have assigned points, if jump is cleared and no faults are accrued, the points are rewarded. A jump can only be jumped once in a row. Rider with the most points within the time allowed is the winner. Special prize for first place.
