9. Eligibility The 2018 ITTF-Oceania Hopes Week & is open to all National Associations that are affiliated to ITTF-Oceania. Only the entries of athletes endorsed by their National Association will be accepted. Players born in 2006 or later and validated by their National Association may participate. Entrants are not eligible to attend the 2018 ITTF World Hopes Week should they win the 2018 ITTF-Oceania Hopes having been born outside the years of 2006 and 2007. 10. Registration The 2018 ITTF-Oceania Hopes Week & will accept a maximum of 8 Boys and 8 Girls. Phase 1 All National Associations affiliated to ITTF-Oceania may nominate two (2) boys and two (2) girls. The nominations will be approved by ITTF-Oceania based on historical performances, and current efforts from National Associations to develop talent identification programs, and National Hopes activities. For a National Association to maximise their chance to participate in this event, they should organise their own National Hopes Week. Phase 2 Should the maximum number of eight (8) boys and eight (8) girls not be met through international entries, any positions not fulfilled may be allocated to players from Australia. All athletes must be accompanied by a coach, nominated by their National Association. 11. Proposed Format of Play The 2018 ITTF-Oceania Hopes Boys Singles and Girls Singles will be played in one stage, with a complete Round Robin taking place with all athletes playing against each other. The Host Association, in consultation with the ITTF Expert, reserves the right to alter the proposed format of play if deemed necessary. All matches will be best of five games
12. ITTF-Oceania Assistance The ITTF-Oceania Development Program will provide financial assistance for up to eight international athletes from Pacific Table Tennis Federations of $500AU per athlete. In addition, 4 athletes from NZL and/or AUS will be given financial assistance of $250AU per athlete. 13. Hospitality Full participation in the ITTF-Oceania Hopes Week & is required to receive this assistance. The organiser offers two separate hospitality package: 1 st Option: All inclusive Package - Total Cost: AU$180.00 per night per person Cost Includes Accommodation, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Transport to and from Venue, a visit to Billabong Sanctuary. Accommodation: Oaks M on Palmer (4.5-star) Palmer Street Townsville Townsville, Qld, 4810 ITTF-Oceania Hopes Week and Transport: Transport includes transfers to and from Townsville Airport. There will be limited transport provided between accommodation and venue between sessions. Catering: Townsville RSL at this point will be the venue for Lunch and Dinner (Transport to and from venue will be provided) with Breakfast at the Accommodation, please contact the organisers before arrival. The venue for Lunch and Dinner may change without notice. 2 nd Option: Basic Package - Total Cost: AU$60.00 per day per person Cost Includes Lunch, Dinner and visit to Billabong Sanctuary. 14. Travel and Health Insurance All participants (athletes, coaches, accompanying persons) are required to have their own travel and health insurance. 15. Visa Requirements For those requiring a visa to enter Australia, the local organising committee will help with the application process to assist in ensuring the visa is approved on time. Participants must ensure they have received their Australian Visa prior to their departure for Australia. 16. Promotional Activities Players are expected to attend the following promotional activities: - Opening Ceremony - Public Draw - Media Interviews - Awards Ceremony 17. Motion & Picture By entering the event, athletes agree to abide by all ITTF Rules and by the rules and regulations of the Organising Committee. All entered associations and individual athletes agree to be under the auspices of the ITTF and its agents in all matters concerning television coverage, video, internet web casting, motion picture coverage and photographic coverage of any kind. Participants release all rights or rights held by their agents or sponsors, in all matters relating to television and web casting coverage, video and motion picture coverage and photographic coverage of any kind. A participant's refusal of above listed coverage may be subject to suspension or dismissal from the competition. 18. Entry Fees There is no entry fee to participate in the 2018 ITTF-Oceania Hopes Week & 19. Prizes The winner of the ITTF-Oceania Hopes Week & Boys Singles & Girls Singles events will receive the one quota place assigned to Oceania for the 2018 ITTF World Hopes Week &. If the winner(s) are unable to attend the ITTF World Hopes Week & this will result in the place being awarded to the next
highest place finisher who is able to attend the ITTF World Hopes Week &. 20. Deadlines Final Entry Form: Friday 24 th February 2018 Accommodation: Friday 24 th February 2018 Travel Details: Friday 24 th February 2018 No late entries accepted, all entries must be Confirmed & Paid including Accommodation to TTTA. TTTA will liaise directly with you regarding payment process after submission of the registration form.
