Club Meetings: Next meeting Sept. 17th, at 7:30pm Club meeting are held at the Everett Fire Fighters Hall at 2411 Hewitt Ave., Everett, WA. Meetings are the third Wednesday of every month with the exception of July. There is no meeting in July. Guest are always welcomed. Reminder: if Everett Schools are closed due to snow we do not have a meeting that night. Club Information on dues: Persons or families joining the club must pay a one time application fee of $5.00. Dues for individuals 16 years or older are $25.00 per year. A Family membership is available for a husband and wife or single parent for $30.00 per year which also includes their dependent children 15 years and younger. The reason that a 16 year old child isn t included is because of our BI-Laws. A 16 year old member can be elected to hold office. Minutes of The Pilchuck Treasure Hunting Club August 20, 2014. The meeting was called to order at 7:32 PM, by President Ron Hetzel, at the Everett Fire Fighters' Hall located at 2411 Hewitt Ave. in Everett, WA. Officers present: President, Ron Hetzel; Vice President, Randy Routsala; Treasurer, Lora Hetzel and Secretary, Stan Schumacher. Sgt. at Arms, Bud Hall was not present, due to vacation. President, Ron introduced new member, Joe Davidson and a guest, Linda Thayer to the membership. President, Ron advised the membership of the Fall Scavenger Hunt to begin after the meeting and ending at the meeting of November 19th next. The items to be found list was distributed to members interested in competing. Members were notified by President, Ron of the upcoming Club's Frank Lupien Memorial Hunt to be held on September 27th. The hunt will start at 10 AM and members wanting to help plant should be at the Silver Lake Beach Park at 9 AM. There will be a potluck after the hunt. The event is only open to PTHC members and the entry fee will be $10 plus two donated items for the field. The June 18, 2014 meeting minutes were read and the membership approved them as read. Treasurer, Lora Hetzel gave the Treasurer's report. The Treasurer's report was approved by the membership as given. Member, Ron Aldridge gave a presentation regarding investigation clumps of material found while detecting. Clumps of material that aren't metallic, but give a signal that there is something metallic hidden inside requiring further investigation. The presentation was very informative. Vice President, Randy R. gave a report of the Second Saturday Hunts of June 21st 2014 and August 9th, 2014. On both Second Saturday Hunt dates, Members met at Denny's 128th St. and Interstate 5 at 8 AM. The scavenger hunt list was determined at breakfast at Denny's Restaurant. On June 21st the hunt site was determined to be in Seattle at the Warren G. Magnusson Park. Seventeen members and two guests attended the hunt. Find of the day was awarded to Pat Stretch for his antique razor find. On the Second Saturday Hunt of August 9th the hunt site was determined to be upper Woodland Park in Seattle. Nine members attended the hunt and Stan S was awarded the find of the hunt for his 1916 Canadian Cent. Vice President, Randy R. presented the Finds of the Months awards for the combined months of July and August to those members whose entries were selected by the Month's Judges. Members, Jeff Sarvis and Walt Edson.. The meeting was adjourned by President, Ron at 8:42 PM.
