6-11 June 2015 The Supercar Club s 2015 Giro d Italia will be our 4th Giro event; and we are already looking forward to it. Each day you find yourself driving on a route through spectacular Italian countryside; and on roads which bring your performance car to life. It s also great to experience the Italian people s enthusiasm and love of supercars; with both young and old signaling you to rev your engine as you drive by; and their warm and friendly welcome when you stop for a coffee or lunch. The cryptic clues along the way are great fun and make sure you stop and explore interesting locations you may otherwise not have been aware of. After a memorable drive you arrive at another stunning hotel to relax and exchange stories of the day with fellow participants over cocktails; and then a fine dinner. The meticulous planning by the Supercar Club Team for each event is clearly evident. Along with the Pirelli and supercar mechanic guys the Team s support throughout the event is magnificent. IMITATED BUT NEVER BETTERED For over a decade The Supercar Club has been organising some of the most enjoyable driving events available to Supercar enthusiasts, visiting many of the most beautiful parts of Europe and beyond, exploring empty sweeping roads through stunning countryside. We love Supercars, we love driving, we love luxury hotels and we love beautiful scenery, so many years ago we put them all together to create truly memorable and exciting holidays for people who own Supercars, and over the years we have taken more than 1000 Supercars on our events. Our events are very relaxed and huge fun. The people are friendly, the cars stunning and the organisation of the highest standard.
THE EVENT Starting in Florence on the 6th of June, the pre-planned route of Giro d Italia 2015 will see you driving your supercar from luxury hotel to luxury hotel, typically driving between 200 and 250 miles per day. The event will take in some of the most spectacular scenery Italy has to offer before crossing the finish line on the 11th of June in Casino Square, Monaco. Here you will be spending the night at the fabulous Hotel Hermitage where the gala dinner and prize giving will take place in the spectacular ballroom with a terrace overlooking the world famous harbour filled with Superyachts. Over the course of six nights the Giro d Italia will provide you with luxury hotels, and five days of some of the most enjoyable driving available in Italy. The variety and quality of roads will be superb as you tour the beautiful countryside passing through Toscana, Emilia Romagna, Lombardia, Liguria and the Portofino coast, finally finishing in Monte Carlo.
A TYPICAL DAY Following a proper breakfast you will depart your hotel at around 9.00am to head off on a route of carefully researched empty roads that wind their way through the Italian countryside. The Giro d Italia is as competitive as you want it to be. One thing it is not, is a race. Each morning you will be given a fully detailed and researched route, taking you along fabulous roads leading you to a series of cryptic clues which you can solve to earn points and win fantastic prizes. Throughout the day you will stop at predetermined places to try and solve the clues that we set en-route, call in for coffee in the local cafés, or perhaps lunch in a historic town. You should arrive at your next hotel between 5.00pm and 6.00pm in time to relax, have a swim and to freshen up before pre-dinner drinks at 7:45pm followed by a delicious dinner. CLUES AND ROUTES Teams that decide to be competitive will spend more time trying to solve the cryptic clues we set along the route. Solutions are often in historic buildings, at national monuments or perhaps in vineyards or hidden under bridges. There will also be a series of photographic clues to look out for along the route. Solving clues is by no means compulsory! Some teams prefer to focus on the driving and there is no pressure to participate for those that don't want to, however, taking part will enable you to compete for our sponsors fabulous prizes. As always with The Supercar Club events, accommodation will be of the highest standard available.
