Walk in Bathing Company The Luxor Unashamed luxury, top of the tree in all respects, the Luxor has it all. It is quite unique and WIBCO have been making this model for many years and it s still the best. The full length (5ft 6ins or 5ft) allows you to simply wallow in lovely hot water. The seat is a battery operated belt type which gently lowers you right to the bottom of the bath, unlike rigid seat systems which stop 4 or 5 ins. from the bottom of the bath. Also, as it operates uniquely with twin rollers, it does not tip you over to one side as it lowers or rises. Added to this is an easy to reach touch button to turn on/off the water. The water temperature is automatically controlled for your safety with a TMV3 mixing valve. A separate shower can also be incorporated in the Luxor too. The home of Walk in Baths The Classic This is the walk in bath which is truly a classic. It is a variation of WIBCO s original bath invented in 1996. This style and design has literally swept the world and been copied throughout but only ours opens and closes so easily. With its infill panels it can simply replace an existing standard bath without the need to retile the bathroom and so it can be installed easily within a day with the bare minimum of disruption. The Classic is available with or without a shower attachment and the TMV3 valve gives proper anti scald protection. Seat height is varied by 3 thicknesses of cushion. Again, there is the easy entry/exit via the inward opening door at a touch of the large palm press button and then just swing it shut behind you so simple to use no difficult levers to grip and push or pull. Walk in Bathing Company The Barry Bath The one major difference between the Barry Bath and the Classic is that the door to the Barry Bath can be simply lifted out by a carer in case of an emergency and extra assistance is required by the bather. This gives extremely easy access; also it allows very easy cleaning of the bath. The unique bar handle is simple to use and also doubles as a towel holder. As with all our baths there are no internal protruding handles or difficult to use levers and, of course, the door opens inwards. As standard the bath is equipped with an anti scald TMV3 valve, a choice of bath filler or bath shower mixer, and two wastes. There is the choice of three seat heights too. This enables the bath to be sited in some situations where others cannot fit and it takes up very little room. Despite its size, a six foot person can still be comfortable and enjoy a good soak. Again the inward opening door pioneered by WIBCO, with no unsightly or difficult levers to use absolutely seals the door against potential leaks. Walk in Bathing Company The Universal Not for nothing has this bath been so named! WIBCO s unique slide in bath opens the door to bathing for even more people. As long as there is enough room for it to fit into the bathroom then virtually anyone can use it. The design allows side entry from a wheelchair or by someone using a Zimmer frame to slide in with relative ease. The unique lift and turn door is aided with a constant tension spring to assist the user or carer. Once it is lowered into the closed position, again, the water pressure helps to seal the door even though it opens outwards! Whilst the door allows easy access for one member of the family to enter the bath to take a shower it still allows others to use the bath in the conventional manner. So you are not forced to replace a bath with a shower just because one family member can no longer climb over the bath side to take a shower. Yes, the Duet gives you the best of both worlds. Note that there is no rigid built-in seat to the Duet so the bather can still lie down in the full length (5ft 6ins or 5ft). Walk in Bathing Company The Paragon The Paragon is the only P-Shaped bath of its kind to use the unique belt system designed and manufactured by Wibco. Bathe and relax or shower, The Paragon gives you both options with safety and simplicity. The Paragon allows elderly or infirm bathers to sit down on the seat and by pressing the easy to reach buttons the belt lowers evenly onto the bottom of the bath without tipping you over to one side as all single roller systems do. Once lowered, the belt allows you to be sat on the bottom of the bath so you can relax and stretch full length. The door on The Paragon is so easy to use, just lightly press the pad handle and it springs open. Swing the door back and it clicks firmly shut with our patented water tight seal. Turn on the easy to reach bath filler tap which has been preset with a thermostatic safety valve to prevent any possibility of scalding. The bath is designed with an effective anti-slip bottom. Hydro Therapy We offer a Hydro Therapy option on all our baths as we know that a lot of people want to enjoy this facility. Many of you may already have had the pleasure of soothing the aches and pains with the jets of air and the millions of bubbles playing on your back, feet and legs etc. and want to enjoy that again. Others perhaps have heard about it but are not sure, well we do believe it helps but we have been very selective in the system which we incorporate in our baths. There are basically only two types of systems in general use in Europe the whirlpool system and the air spa system. The whirlpool uses jets of water (some add air to the water) and the air spa which only uses air jets. The whirlpool type does not fully drain down when it is emptied and therefore is susceptible to the water becoming stagnant or unhealthy unless cleansed. That is why all whirlpool manufacturers stipulate the frequent maintenance using cleansing chemicals. The air spa system is a little dearer, however it has more jets and, most importantly, the WIBCO system does not require any user maintenance at all as it is fully automatic and does not even use chemicals. Unfortunately Hydro Therapy does not cure the aches and pains of arthritis, rheumatism or the many other problems associated with growing older but it is generally acknowledged as being beneficial and giving relief, albeit in the short term but then most pleasures are short term, aren t they?
