His boats were beautiful, fast and seaworthy, particularly in heavy weather. A 12 m Cruiser Racer is a breathtaking combination of power, grace - and yet accommodation in NORDLYS case, to give comfort and effortless style. Built to Lloyds 100 A1 by the renowned Molich yard, she remains little changed and as a classic yacht benefits hugely from this; a special boat indeed. HERITAGE, VINTAGE AND CLASSIC YACHTS +44 (0)1202 330 077 BJARNE AAS 60 FT 12 M CRUISER RACER SLOOP 1955 Specification HISTORY NORDLYS was commissioned by Danish shipowner A P Møller for his private use. Poul Molich's Hundested yard was renowned for building high quality and prestigious yachts during the 1950s and 60s - notably for John Alden, Sparkman & Stephens and Bjarne Aas among others, some of whose yachts survive and which like NORDLYS - built with the best materials available at the time - are as good as collectors' items. The Molich and Walsted yards have maintained and trimmed the boat every winter to optimise the new seasons sailing. The current owner of some twenty years has done everything possible to preserve the original structure and appearance while installing the newest technology and new installations.
