Rules of Entry When entering a pony / horse it is a condition of entry that these rules are abided by. 1. It is the exhibitor s responsibility to ensure they are present in the ring at the start of the class. 2. Refunds of class fees will not be given if exhibitors miss their class. 3. The Judges decision is final. 4. The judge may withhold any prize where there is an evident want of merit. 5. Riders of stallions must be aged 12 years + for small breeds & those under 13.2hh and 14 years + for large breeds over 13.2hh 6. Objections Any objections to be made in writing to the Secretary with a deposit of 30.00 cash, which will be returned if the objection is upheld. All objections must be made within 30 minutes of the class taking place. 7. The Officials and Council of the NCPA accept no responsibility for loss, injury or damage to any person or their property whilst on the Showground, car parks or approaches. All entries are subject to these conditions. 8. Exhibitors alone are solely responsible for the accuracy and eligibility of their entries. No entry will be accepted unless accompanied with the correct fee. In the event of an entry proving incorrect, (whether by mistake or otherwise), the entry fee will not be returned. 9. An Exhibitor may not exhibit a pony / horse bred, sold, leased or produced by the Judge, their immediate family or their employer. 10. The Committee reserves the right to expel from the class or Showground any animal not considered to be under control, especially where a danger to the public could be created. 11. The Committee reserves the right to cancel, amalgamate or divide any class should entries so warrant. 12. No substitute or nomination entries will be allowed. 13. In the event of the Show being cancelled by events beyond our control, a 50% administration fee will be deducted from each Exhibitor. 14. All persons entering the Showground must have personal third party insurance. 15. This Show operates under the NCPA Child and Vulnerable Persons Protection Policy. 16. Show canes and whips must not be more than 30 inches long. 17. Ponies / horses must leave the ring at walk. 18. Correctly secured skull caps/riding hats must be worn at all times whilst mounted and to be to current BSI Standard. 19. Lead Rein Classes: Ponies to be shown in a snaffle bridle and the lead rein to be attached to the nose band on which it must remain whilst the pony is in the ring. Whilst in the ring, the pony must be led at all times. 20. First Ridden Classes: Ponies to be shown in a suitable bridle. No cantering allowed except for individual show. 21. Foals must accompany mares in the ring and be at least three weeks old on the day of the Show. 22. Mountain and Moorland ponies must be shown in their natural state and must be registered with their respective Breed Society, and the registration number quoted on the entry form. 23. All Stallions and Colts must be licenced as stipulated by their relevant breed society and must be handled by a person over 14 years of age and be adequately bitted and under control. 24. No litter to be left on the Showground. CLEANING OUT HORSEBOXES & TRAILERS IS STRICTLEY FORBIDDEN. 25. All Exhibitors must be wearing the allocated number for the Exhibit when entering the ring; 26. Dogs must be on a lead and supervised at all times. 27. Handlers and Grooms must be appropriately dressed. 28. Anyone found to be mistreating a horse or pony may be asked to leave the show ground, and reported to the appropriate body. 29. All horses and ponies must have a valid passport which should accompany the animal on show days. 30. All CHAPS Stallions must wear ID Discs in the Ring 31. No late entries or entries on the day can be taken for the Welsh In Hand classes 1 to 29 32. Handlers in IN-Hand classes ages 14 years and under, must wear a correctly secured current British Standard skull cap or riding hat. 33. Rosettes to 6th place in all classes 34. All Champions are eligible for either ridden supreme or in-hand supreme Entry fees: NCPA Members - 8 pre entry (received by 27/07/18) 12 on the day Non NCPA members - 10 pre entry (received by 27/07/2018) 12 on the day First Aid 2.50 per competitor/handler

Leave A1 at junction 35, then join the M18 motorway signposted The North. 2. Leave the M18 at junction 3, the A6182 exit to Doncaster 3. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the Great Yorkshire Way / A6182 4. At the roundabout take the 1st exit to stay on great Yorkshire way 5. At the parrots corner traffic lights keep in the middle lane doing a slight right following the signs for BAWTRY/A6182 passing the Doncaster Park and ride on your right. 6. At the next set of traffic lights take your right lane and keep straight following the A638/Great North Road 7. Continue passed the Mount Pleasant hotel on your right. 8. Continue passed the next left turning signposted Austerfield 9. The NORTHERN RACING COLLEGE IS ON THE RIGHT SIDE AFTER THIS. M1/M18 1. Leave M1 at junction 32, then join the M18 motorway signposted The North. 2. Leave the M18 at junction 3, the A6182 exit to Doncaster 3. Entering Bawtry continue straight on, A638 (Great North Road) signposted Doncaster 4. Keep on the A638 and you will pass a caravan centre on your right, followed by a water tower on your left, and then the paintball fields and RSPCA Centre- also on your left. Approximately 50 yards further on you will see the NRC gallops on the left hand side 5. The entrance to the NRC is signposted about 100 yards further on your left

Both owner and the rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (UK) nor must the horse or pony be registered with CHAPS (UK) to compete. However in order to Qualify both Owner and Rider/Exhibitor need to be a current showing member and present their valid Qualifier card IN THE RING for signing by the judge. Pink card to be carried in the ring. Class 13 NCPA Registered M&M Lead Rein/First Ridden Mare or Gelding 4 years old and over. Not exceeding 122cms (lead rein) and 128cms (first ridden). Rider not to have attained 9 th birthday (lead rein) and 12 th birthday (first ridden) before 1 st January in the current year. All ponies to be shown in a snaffle bridle, lead rein to be attached to the noseband. Class 14 NCPA Registered M&M Ridden Small Breeds - Stallion, Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland and Welsh Sections A & B. Rider any age (except stallions, rider 12 years and over). Class 15 NCPA M&M Ridden Large Breeds - Stallion, Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over, Connemara, Dales, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Welsh Sections C & D. Rider any age (except stallions, rider 14 years and over) M & M LARGE BREEDS CHAMPIONSHIP 1 st and 2 nd prize winners from classes 13 to 15 to compete. JUNIOR M&M RIDDEN Class 16 Junior M&M Ridden Small Breeds Mare or Gelding 4 years old or over, Welsh A, Welsh B, Dartmoor, Exmoor and Shetland. NCPA Star Rosettes awarded to the highest placed NCPA member in the following classes:- Classes 50, 58 and 68. Members to be wearing their NCPA badge and have their membership card in the ring. Shetland Stud Book Rules 1. Classes must be confined to Registered Ponies. Ponies must be named on the entry form and in the catalogue if one is produced. Society rosettes must only be given to ponies registered with the Society or eligible for registration (i.e. foals) 2. Three-year-old fillies with foals at foot may not be shown. All foals must be a minimum of three weeks old on the day of the Show. All entire males aged 2 years and over must display a stallion disc. 3. There must be no colts or entire males in Young Handlers classes. Children under 14 yrs old may not show colts (excluding foals) or entire males in In-hand classes. Children under 12 yrs old on the day of the show may not show entire males in ridden classes. In the interests of safety, hard hats must be worn by all handlers aged 14 yrs or under in In-hand classes. Exhibitors should not kneel but remain standing while in the ring. Hard hats must be worn by all exhibitors, irrespective of age, in ridden classes. In ridden Classes, if a rider falls off at any time whilst in the ring, both pony and rider must leave the ring, rider dismounted, and take no further part.
