Updated: 1/1/2015 The following policies have been put in place by the Williston Fitness Center (WFC) in order to ensure a safe, positive and healthy environment. Additional policies will be added/amended as circumstances warrant. ACCESS TO THE WILLISTON FITNESS CENTER Memberships: Due to a significant increase in the number of memberships the WFC has added since the facility was remodeled in 2012, memberships are currently only available to Minnetonka and St. Louis Park residents. St. Louis Park residents are eligible for the Minnetonka resident rate due to a reciprocal agreement between the two cities. (Minnetonka residents are eligible for the St. Louis Park resident rate at the St. Louis Park Aquatics Park). Dual membership is considered two people living at the same address. If one individual is under the age of 15, the other must be an adult 18+ years of age. Household membership is considered one or two adults plus children 21 and under living at the same address. (Additional adults in the household may be added to the membership for a $10 monthly fee.) Student monthly memberships are available to students 15 years and over with a valid student ID. Youth 14 and under must join with an adult (18 yrs or older). Guest Passes: Individuals may purchase a guest pass for $8 (15 yrs and older) or $5 (12 months 14 years). Guest fees are charged per visit, not per day. Health insurance discount: The WFC partners with MEDICA, Blue Cross Blue Shield of MN, HealthPartners, Preferred One, and Vitality. Eligible members who exercise a minimum number of times each month at the WFC will receive up to $20 credit per month. Minimum number of visits and reimbursement are determined by health insurance companies. Members are responsible for determining eligibility and updating the WFC with any changes to their insurance plans that may impact this reimbursement benefit. The WFC also partners with SilverSneakers and Silver and Fit. Members (or potential members) must contact their health insurance company to confirm qualification for the SilverSneakers or Silver and Fit benefit. CHILD CARE (6 months and older) Children included on a membership will receive free child care for the first hour and 15 minutes of each visit to the WFC. Members will be billed $3/hour per child for each additional hour (billed in 15 minute increments) after the allotted free time. There is a two hour maximum time limit for child care and those who exceed two hours will be charged a $5 late fee in addition to hourly child care rates. Non-member child care rates are $4/hour per child with the same two hour maximum and $5 late fee. Non-members must pay for child care in advance and present the receipt to the child care attendant. 1

The billing cycle for child care will run from the 25 th of each month to the 24 th of the following month and will be reflected on the first of each month along with membership dues (i.e. August 25th September 24th and billed on October 1st). COMMON AREAS/OVERALL BUILDING POLICIES Use of the facility is considered a privilege. Individuals not complying with established policies and procedures may be asked to leave and/or banned from the facility. All clothing, bags, phones and other personal items are to be stored in the locker rooms or storage cubbies, not left around the facility. All concerns and maintenance needs should be reported to WFC building staff or the service desk. Out of courtesy and privacy to our members, the use of any type of camera which includes cell phones, camera, and video recorders is prohibited. This policy applies to all fitness areas, locker rooms, aquatic locations and activity spaces. All children 7 years of age and under are required to have adult (18 years or older) supervision in the activity area at all times. All children 8 11 years of age must have an adult (18 years of age) in the facility at all times. Exceptions are if the participant is involved in an organized activity. Organized meetings in common areas are only permitted if organized through a WFC manager. The WFC offers a number of birthday party packages and therefore does not allow dropin parties. The facility reserves the right to deny admission to anyone who appears to be having a drop-in party. Parties/gift opening or cake/cupcakes are not allowed in common areas, only the Treehouse Lounge and Kids Corner (with pre-approval from a WFC manager). Batting cage users must wear a helmet while in the batting cages. Overnight storage of personal belongings will not be permitted in the building, except for reserved lockers. Locks left on overnight will be cut. Personal boom boxes, bikes, and animals are not allowed in the facility. The facility reserves the right to deny admission to anyone who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. The city of Minnetonka and the WFC, and its personnel, are not responsible for items lost, stolen, left on site, or left in vehicles. The WFC will not post outside flyers/brochures on bulletin boards. Selling products or services, soliciting for personal gain is prohibited. This includes personal training, coaching and other services not approved through the WFC. FOOD, BEVERAGES AND TOBACCO USE All types of tobacco use are prohibited. The WFC is a smoke-free environment. Possession and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the WFC. Water bottles, individual beverages and single serving snack items will be allowed in the building. However, only water is permitted in the fitness rooms (cardio & strength area). No coolers, outside food/beverage, or glass containers are allowed in the WFC unless organized through a Manager. 2

LOST AND FOUND Items not claimed within 14 days will be donated to a local charity. Water bottles will be held for 7 days and donated is not claimed. The WFC is not responsible for lost or stolen items. EARLY CLOSURE Staff has discretion to close the facility in case of a building emergency or inclement weather. Information will be on the weather hotline (952-939-8355). MAINTENANCE DAYS The Williston Fitness Center will block off dates and times for necessary repairs or maintenance of areas/equipment usually during non-peak times. Membership fees reflect these blackout days and will not be refunded. FITNESS AREA Due to the inherent risks involved in using fitness equipment, participants must be at least 15 years of age to use the cardio or strength equipment. Youth ages 12-14 may go through a Teen Orientation with a personal trainer to use the fitness equipment. A specified fee will be charged for this orientation. A Fitness Orientation is recommended for all members and guests using the WFC. Information and sign-up for an orientation are at the reception desk. Fees do apply. Athletic shoes are required in all fitness areas; no bare feet, sandals or street shoes are permitted. Machines and weights must be used with care. Dropping plates, dumbbells, and weight stacks can cause injury, equipment damage and facility damage. Users must be courteous to others by limiting the length of their workout at a single station and by observing posted time limits when others are waiting. Users are required to wipe down each machine after each use. All portable fitness equipment/items are to be returned to appropriate storage locations after use (i.e. weights must be re-racked). Weights are not to be propped against the walls, pillars, or mirrors due to the risk of damage or injury. All individuals using the fitness area must be a member or pay the daily fee. GROUP FITNESS Scheduled group fitness classes and programming have priority in the group fitness studio(s). These rooms can be available for individual workouts during free periods. Access to equipment in storage closets will not be granted. Class size may be limited due to equipment and/or space requirements. Out of respect for instructors and other students, participants are expected to arrive on time for classes and programs. Participants 12 years of age and older may take any group fitness class. 3

Certain classes require a ticket for entry (see group fitness schedule). Tickets may be picked up 30 minutes prior to the start of each class. If youth are going to participate in spin classes, they need to be mature and responsible enough to follow the safety rules. (It can sometimes be tempting for kids to pedal as fast as they can, and that can be unsafe. Because the Spinner is a fixed gear bike, the weight of the flywheel can turn the pedals at a very high speed with a lot of momentum if there's not enough resistance.) The WFC reserves the right to cancel any class on the basis of low attendance, instructor absence, inclement weather, or other circumstances. No gum, food, or beverages (with the exception of water is permitted in the studio at any time. All participants must wear proper footwear; athletic shoes with non-marking soles are required. No open toed shoes, boots, and shoes with metal buckles are permitted. Please respect our studio by placing all equipment in its appropriate storage location after use (i.e. steps, mats, etc.). LOCKER USAGE AND LOCKER ROOMS For the safety of their belongings, members and guests are encouraged to keep clothing and other valuables locked in lockers while using the facility. Daily use lockers may be used for free. Half- length lockers are available for year-long rental. Information and sign-up for these lockers is available at the service desk. Items stored in a daily use locker overnight will have locks cut off and items will be placed in the lost and found. The WFC is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Running is not permitted in the locker room areas. Families with opposite sex children should utilize the family locker room. Refrain from using cell phones, video, etc. in the locker room areas. INDOOR PLAYSTRUCTURE The indoor play structure is designed for children 12 years of age and under. Unsupervised children are not permitted in the play area. Adult supervision must be 18 years of age or older and will not be charged admission. Children 11 months and younger will not be charged admission. No food or beverages are permitted in the play area. No running or rough play is permitted. Socks must be worn at all times. No shoes or bare feet are permitted. Group rates: o Two weeks advanced notice reservation required based on availability. o Group rates do not apply on school release days, weekends, and/or holidays. o A minimum of one adult supervisor for every six children is required to be present. 4

GYM All individuals using the gym must be a member or pay the daily fee. Dunking, slapping the backboards, and hanging on the rims or nets are strictly prohibited due to the risk of injury and potential damage to the equipment. Violations of this policy will result in immediate removal from the facility. Throwing of baseballs/softballs must be done within the open throwing timeframe or in the instructional cage if available. o During open throwing a maximum of 14 throwers will be allowed on the court at one time. o Organized team activities or practices are prohibited and must have reservations and prior approval. Swearing, inappropriate language, excessive yelling & screaming, or gestures will not be tolerated. Individuals exhibiting this type of behavior may be asked to leave the facility without a refund. No food, gum or beverages are allowed in the gym; water only. All personal belongings should be locked in the locker rooms due to limited court space. Athletic shoes with non-marking soles are required; no open toed shoes, boots, and shoes with metal buckles are permitted. Dress code must be appropriate. Skins will only be allowed during organized or fullcourt games listed on the gym schedule as pick-up basketball. Organized or full-court games will only be allowed when designated on the gym schedule. WFC staff reserves the right to determine all gym use and inappropriate behavior by users. SWIMMING POOL(S) POLICIES No lifeguard is on duty at the WFC. Children younger than 3 years old must have an adult in the splash pad with them at all times. Guests under 3 years of age using the splash pad must pay guest fees for both the child and adult using the pool. Children 7 years of age and younger in the lap pool must have an adult within arms reach, at all times. All children 8 14 years of age must have an adult (18 years of age) in the pool area at all times. Lap lanes are available on a first come, first serve basis. Open swim is not allowed during water classes unless approved by the instructor. All swimmers must take a cleansing shower prior to entering the swimming pool. Proper swim wear is required. Denim jeans, cut-offs or t-shirts are not permitted. Diving is permitted only in designated diving areas. Spitting, spouting water from the mouth and blowing the nose in the pool is prohibited. Running or rough play is not permitted in the pool or locker rooms. Food and drinks, other than water in a non-breakable container are not permitted. 5

Persons with open or infectious sores are not permitted in the pool. Coast guard approved floatation devices allowed. Children under the age of 3 and any swimmers who are not potty-trained must wear proper swim pants with snug-fitting elastic legs and waists or disposable swim diapers. A swim suit may be worn over the rubber or vinyl swim pants. 6
