Dromana Football & Netball Club Information for players for 2015 season

Training Training sessions are held on a Thursday night at Marna St Courts, Dromana. All players should arrive 5 minutes before the allocated starting time so you are ready to start on time. Training is Compulsory for all players. Anyone that cannot make training must ring their coach and speak to them personally. Tournament We will be entering teams into the Casey Pre Netball Season Cup on Sunday March 15 this will be our tryouts. This is held at Casey Indoor Leisure Centre 65 Berwick-Cranbourne Rd Cranbourne East, Mel ways Ref. Map 143, C6 Matches commence at 8.00am - Finals Commence at 4pm Please Bring: Dromana uniform, water bottle, Lunch (Canteen available), appropriate footwear. (More info to come) Players Please Note Players who have been selected in a team must earn their place in that team. This will be determined by attendance, attitude to training, fellow team mates and dedication to learning as well and skill level progression. Team Bonding/Training Camp Game Days Home games will be played @ Dromana Primary School Stadium Times: U17 s - 10.00am C Grade- B Grade- A Grade- 11.00am 12.05pm 1.25pm # all players are expected to arrive 30minutes before game time. All players should arrive with a professional manner consisting of proper uniforms, positive attitude and appropriate language. Under 17 s will assist with set up of home games. A Grade will assist with pack up at home games

Grievance Procedure: *This is a way of solving an issue without a formal complaint, investigation or discipline being taken against the respondent, focusing on solving the problem rather than proving something inappropriate actually happened, and seeking a resolution rather than requiring formal findings or further procedures. If you do not feel confident to raise or discuss inappropriate behaviour directly with the person involved, you may prefer to raise the matter with another person in the club first. Player with Issue Person involved Coach D.O.C Netball Manager Board Solutions may include the following outcomes: - A review of a decision - An Apology for the harm or offence caused - An agreement that bad behaviour will cease or change - Education or training for a person or a group/ team - An informal warning or quiet one on one chat with someone by a coach, DOC or Netball Manager - Changed practices, procedures or policies If you have been treated unfairly, it will be helpful for you to consider which of these will be the best solution to your concern.

Dromana Football & Netball Club Code of Conduct Senior and Junior Players In addition to Dromana Football & Netball Club conde of behaviour, as a player in any activity held by or under or auspices of Netball Victoria MPFL or Dromana Football & Netball Club, you agree to meet the following requirements in regard to your conduct dues any such activity or event: Player Endeavour to learn the rules of the game and the policies of the club. Applaud good performances, effort and skilful plays by you own team and opponents. Never ridicule or yell at any\one for a mistake or losing a game. Positive comments are motivational. At the conclusion of every game shake hands with all members of the opposing team and thank the umpires, regardless of the games out come. Recognise and respect the value and importance of volunteer administrators, coaches and umpires. They give up their time and resources to provide recreational activities for players and deserve your support. Without them there would be no game. Always play according to the rules and the official decisions: - Never criticize or question an umpire, during or after a game. - Captains have the right to approach an umpire during an interval or after the game for clarification of any rule. - Approach the umpire in a courteous and polite way. Cooperate with you coach, Team Manager and other Players: - Verbal abuse of officials or other players, deliberately fouling or provoking an opponent and throwing/damaging equipment is neither acceptable nor permitted. - Treat all players as you would like to be treated. - Ensure that at all times your behaviour is fair and safe. - Accept coach s direction on positions for yourself and teammates. Be a responsible team member: - Encourage and assist all players - Always bring a positive attitude to training and the games. - Attend ALL training sessions and be on time! - Attend all training session and games unless an injury prevents you from travelling. - Ensure that you always bring the appropriate uniform and equipment to training and games. - Be honest in your attitude and preparation to games and training. Work equally hard for yourself and your team. - ALWAYS inform the Coach well before the day if you will be late or absent!!!! Be frank and honest with your Coach or Team Manager concerning illness and injury as well as your ability to train and play fully. Care for and respect the equipment provided to you. Do not engage in practices that affect sporting performance (alcohol, tobacco, drug use). Any form of bullying, verbal or physical abuse will not be tolerated. Settle any disagreements without resorting to hostility or violence. Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion. Discrimination in any form against any person is strictly prohibited. Be an enthusiastic role model and always show good sportsmanship. Remember that you are setting an example for your peers and of the Dromana Football & Netball Club.
