ABOUT THE HOWARD S. HOLMES, II CHARITY GOLF INVITATIONAL Dear Friends, Seven years ago while at Albion College, I was searching for a unique way to celebrate my 21st birthday with something tangible and meaningful for the community. And so, the Howard S. Holmes, II Charity Golf Invitational was born. In its first year, the Howard S. Holmes, II Charity Golf Invitational raised over $5,500 and engaged 28 participants both as players and volunteers. In the past six years, we have raised over $195,000, engaged over 500 people and benefited five outstanding nonprofits in our community. I am excited to announce that the community-based program, Telling It, has been selected again as the 2017 beneficiary! Telling It has proven to be a pillar of our community by empowering youth through arts based interventions. The program supports the healing and learning needs of underserved school-aged youth using best practices from social work and education filtered through the arts so they can lead safe, healthy and fulfilling lives.
