Geet Sethi 9 time Cue Sport World Champion, Padma Shri, Khel Ratna Awardee Founder Director - Olympic Gold Quest Dear Friends, A small flame was lit in 2007 when we commenced our quest to support Indian athletes who had the potential to win an Olympic medal for India. That flame has now become a fire and the journey over the last eight years has been fulfilling and challenging but most importantly has been rewarding for all the stakeholders who have come together to make OGQ the powerful and meaningful movement that it has become. So to all the stake holders I wish to express my gratitude. The stakeholders include firstly the athletes themselves who have worked tirelessly to give their best for themselves and for the country. The funders whose support has fuelled the athletes preparations. The vast network of medical consultants who have given their time, energy and knowledge to keep the athletes fit. the sports psychologists, the physiotherapists, the nutritionists and so many other professionals who have come together for the cause of the athletes. The wonderful team led by the dynamic Viren Rasquinha who all work tirelessly to see that the athlete remains tension free. I must here thank the media for their support which has aided in OGQ becoming a far reaching movement. Last but not the least the fantastic board members who remain enthusiastic and committed to the cause which is so dear to all of us. Rio 2016 is approaching fast. I am sure we will do better than what we did at London 2012. It takes just 6 grams of Gold to lift the worth of a Nation. Warm Regards Geet Sethi 2

Viren Rasquinha Olympian, Arjuna Awardee, Former Indian Hockey Captain Chief Executive Officer - Olympic Gold Quest Dear Friends, With less than 500 days to go for the Rio 2016 Olympics, preparations of all athletes supported by OGQ are in full swing. Right now, Olympic qualification events are under way for almost all sports and will go on right until a few weeks before the Olympics in August 2016. Currently, OGQ supports 65 athletes out of whom we have 43 senior athletes preparing for Rio and 22 athletes as part of the OGQ Junior Scholarship program. A few athletes really stood out with their performances in 2014-15. Sindhu won a second consecutive World Championship bronze medal, a first for Indian Badminton. The gentle giant Vikas Gowda won a gold in discus throw at the CWG 2014 and backed it up with a silver at the Asian Games 2014. Boxer Sarita Devi won a silver at the CWG 2014 and then a bronze at the Asian Games. Mary Kom continued to wow all her fans with a gold at the Asian Games, her first competition since the 2012 London Olympics and also since the birth of her third child. Grappler Yogeshwar Dutt was in brilliant form as he won two consecutive gold medals at both major events. But the man who really stood out in 2014-15 was pistol shooter Jitu Rai. Besides winning gold medals at both the CWG and Asian Games 2014, Jitu won a total of 7 international medals and then became the first Indian individual athlete to qualify for the Rio Olympics. He did this by virtue of winning a silver medal at the World Championship last year in Spain. He is definitely one of India s brightest medal hopes at Rio. For the first time, OGQ has ventured into the sports of Swimming and Table-Tennis. We have started supporting Archana Kamath in Table-Tennis and Maana Patel in Swimming. Both these girls are just 14 years old with fire in their bellies and they are definitely long term prospects for India. Inclusion of expenditure incurred for Olympic sports as eligible expenses for Corporate Social Responsibility has been of great help in adding corporates to our people's movement. For the first time in the brief history of OGQ, we have crossed 100 funders contributing more than Rs 50,000/- in a single financial year. To truly become a people s movement, I think we need to add two more zeroes to that list. I cannot end my note without once again extending our tremendous appreciation to the support of all funders, doctors, physiotherapists, nutritionists, various service providers and of course my working team. I consider all of us as one big family and we need to continue working together with fierce pride and unwavering commitment as we hunt for Olympic gold medals at Rio 2016. It takes just 6 grams of Gold to lift the worth of a Nation. Warm Regards Viren Rasquinha 3
