This FEE covers the cost of our spring and summer football program. Go to the website and click on Summer Sign Up. Follow the steps listed under Summer Football Camp. The participation waiver and summer fee must be submitted before May 15 th. SPRING & SUMMER FEES $400 JV/VAR DEADLINE: MAY 13 FRESHMAN DEADLINE: JUNE 16 The summer fee covers the cost of insurance, facilities, and spring & summer coaching stipends. II. III. SPRING PRACTICE Spring football practice is mandatory for all new and returning players. Practice will begin at 3:05 P.M. on Monday, May 15. The football players will meet in room 101. Dress in your spirit pack before the meeting. Please visit our website www.agourachargersfootball.org and click on the Calendar Link for practice dates & times. In addition, if you have any delinquent equipment issues from last season, you will not be allowed to practice until they are cleared with Coach Salem. Likewise, if you have any Attendance Office discipline hours, you will not be allowed to practice until you have been cleared by the attendance office secretary. SUMMER PRACTICE Summer football begins on Monday, June 19 and concludes on Saturday, July 8. If you know you are going on vacation and will miss any summer football practices, email Coach Salem at 2ksalem@gmail.com with the days you will be out of town prior to your departure. This includes days you will be gone during the dead period. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT ANY AND ALL ABSENCES, EXCUSED OR OTHERWISE, MAY EFFECT PLAYING TIME DURING THE REGULAR SEASON.

IV. 6 STEP FALL REGISTRATION $600 Step 1: PLAYER REGISTRATION Online registration is fast and simple, and it will take you directly to the next step. Step 2: PHYSICALS All players need to have a physical complete otherwise they will NOT be able to participate in any activities. EXER URGENT CARE is hosting Sports Physicals and Clearances on May 20 th and June 3 rd. If you choose to have your physical on one these dates, take all the Athletic Clearance forms with you to EXER and they will turn in for you. If you choose to see your own doctor for the physical clearance, all forms MUST be submitted online to the AAC by June 3 rd. No Exceptions! Step 3: ATHLETIC CLEARANCE The athletic clearance may also be done online. We have a link that will take you directly to the AAC s clearance website that will walk you through the step by step process of clearing your athlete. You must have your physical and AAC online packet complete in order to be CLEARED. Any player not CLEARED by June 4 th will NOT be allowed to practice in the FALL until they are CLEARED through the AAC. Step 4: PLAYER & PARENT AGREEMENT CONTRACT This is mandatory for all players and parents to read and sign. Step 5: INFORMATION PACKET This is includes additional information that may not be included in this handout. Step 6: PLAYER PACK $600.00 This covers the costs for the year round expenses. Go to the Fall Registration link on the website and follow the 6 steps. All must be completed before you are registered. PLAYER PACK $600 JV/VAR DEADLINE: MAY 13 FRESHMAN DEADLINE: JUNE 16 Yearly, it costs approximately $175,000 to fund our program. If we divide our number by 100 players, then it would cost approximately $1750 to fund a single football player during the course of a football season. Hence, a tremendous amount of the overhead is met by parent and player involvement in fundraising. With the Player Pack, a player receives the following: 1. Spirit Pack (Soft Helmet, Under Armour Dri Fit Shirt, & Under Armour Shorts) 2. Traveling Polo 3. Black Canvas Bag V. LVUSD TRANSPORTATION DONATION It costs the school over $100,000 for transportation throughout the year. Agoura High School asks for each family that plays sports throughout the year to donate a one-time $175 donation towards transportation. Please visit our website www.agourachargersfootball.org and click on the link Transportation Donation and you will be directed to our Athletic Departments website with more details. VI. REMIND 101 If you are not on REMIND 101, please do so! Attached is a sheet of how to connect to this via text. This is an important communication forum Coach Salem uses to connect with players and parents. PLEASE NOTE: THIS SERVES ONLY AS A MESSAGE BOARD.

VII. PRACTICE ATTIRE The following attire is required for all players during the spring and summer: 1. AHS football spirit pack shirts & shorts. Coach, my shirt gets dirty and I really don t want to wear the same spirit pack shirt five days in a row before my next laundry session. In this case, players may wear shirts comparable in color and style to our compression shirts. However, players MAY NOT WEAR GEAR FROM OTHER SPORTS. Football only! 2. Football Cleats. 3. No hats, necklaces, watches, jewelry, or earrings. VIII. FOOTBALL CLEATS Make sure you have football cleats (either old or new) for spring practice on May 15. Buy your shoes early and have them broken in before we practice to prevent blisters. Make sure to buy cleats that are black. IX. SCHEDULING AROUND FOOTBALL Attached to this letter is a calendar that includes every meeting, practice, and game we have scheduled throughout our Regular Season. Parents and players are expected to schedule all other commitments around the team activities listed on this calendar as much as possible. This includes vacations, doctor, dentist and orthodontist appointments, physical therapy sessions, driving lessons, driving tests, tutoring sessions, birthday parties, anniversaries, etc. Our coaches do it so we can be there to coach the team, and we expect our players to do so as well. Any conflicts with our scheduled events should be brought to Coach Salem s attention well in advance of the date in question. For us, as a team, to be properly prepared for each game, everyone needs to be at practice. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT ANY AND ALL ABSENCES, EXCUSED OR OTHERWISE, MAY EFFECT PLAYING TIME DURING THE REGULAR SEASON. X. VACATION PLANNING If your family is planning an out-of-town trip, by all means plan on going with them. Try to schedule your vacations during our "Dead Period" from July 9 through July 30. As mentioned above, email Coach Salem the dates you will be out of town prior to your departure. Keep in mind the following: 1. Monday, July 31 @ 7:55am is Equipment Issue Day in the morning. You must be here to receive your gear. 2. Our first practice is Monday, July 31 st at 3:05 P.M. 3. It is absolutely critical that all players are present at all practices beginning on Monday, July 31 st. 4. As per C.I.F. rules, you must have 10 practice days completed to be eligible to participate in a scrimmage or game.

VI. VII. AGOURA HIGH SCHOOL ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY To be eligible for football in the Fall, you must have at least a 2.0 GPA and with no more than one "F" during the Spring semester (School Service/Aide classes do not count). If you are in danger of being ineligible, meet with your teachers immediately to discuss the situation and determine what you need to do to raise your grade. If at the end of the semester, your GPA is still below 2.0 or you have multiple "F's", you will need to enroll in summer school to retain your eligibility for the fall. If you have any questions regarding your eligibility, contact your counselor as soon as possible. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE END OF THE SEMESTER TO DEAL WITH ACADEMIC PROBLEMS. DO IT NOW! GO TO SUPPORT PERIOD. SEE YOUR COUNSELOR, TALK TO COACH SALEM, CONSULT YOUR LOCAL TUTOR! ACADEMIC PROBATION During the season, if a player s GPA falls below a 2.7, they are immediately placed on Academic Probation. This means every Wednesday from 3:00-4:30pm, players are required to attend a mandatory study session after school. If a player fails to attend a required study session for any reason, including a valid excuse, they will forfeit playing time against the weekly opponent. VIII. DRUG TESTING Be aware that a positive test will result in your being removed from our program for the remainder of the season. A second positive will result in being removed from all student athletics for one calendar year. A third positive test will result in your being banned indefinitely from all student athletics. If you attempt to tamper with the test or the testing process, you will face additional disciplinary action from Coach Salem. In addition, if the coaching staff becomes aware that you may be using drugs or alcohol, Coach Salem will contact your parents to alert them to this information.
