FAMILY TIMES Family time is precious, so we have created a programme for you to enjoy together and at your own pace. MAKE A SPLASH Children under 14 are welcome to use the indoor heated pool in the Spa every day from 09.00-10.30 and 16.00-17.30. OUTDOOR POOL OPEN UNTIL 7.00PM: Until 30th September - Children are welcome all day ANYONE FOR TENNIS Why not hire a court and enjoy some family time on one of our indoor or outdoor tennis courts. Please book this in advance. We also offer children s tennis lessons, please see next page. DINING FOR UNDER 8s Breakfast for the whole family is served in The Dining Room daily from 07.30-10.30. At dinner time under 5s eat free from the children s buffet which is served in the Lake Suite between 18.00 and 19.00, all children welcome (no adult food in sight!). Alternatively we welcome you to dine together as a family from 18.00 with last orders taken at 19.00. We ask that your meal is finished by 20.00, after this time The Dining Room is reserved for adults and children aged 8 and over. Tables must be booked in advance and children s meals will be charged as taken when eating in The Dining Room. Please note children are not allowed in the bar area after 18.00. ME TIME FOR PARENTS AND GROWN-UPS We operate a Children s Club daily during the school holidays from 10.30-12.30 and 14.00-16.00. For those looking for virtual entertainment, you will also find a Wii and Playstation. Advance booking essential. BABYSITTING All babysitters have been DBS checked and completed a paediatric first aid course. Advance booking required, please ask reservations or reception for further details.

OUTDOOR GAMES Putting on the croquet lawn, treasure hunt, mini golf, table tennis, tennis lessons, rounders and shooting hoops on the basketball court. TIME FOR TENNIS Our in-house tennis professionals are ready to help turn your youngsters into future Wimbledon champions. Book a private tennis lesson now, pre-booking essential. For all our Children s Club events, please wear appropriate clothing. *All staff in the club are DBS checked. Please note, you will be required to sign in and out at the club, complete a disclaimer and provide a contact telephone number. All children should be toilet trained.

Whether you re a novice or experienced - our qualified instructors will ensure that you have an activity to remember. 30 clays per person. Available Monday - Saturday 1-2 guests: 275.00 inc VAT Each additional guest: 120.00 inc VAT LASER CLAYS Simulated clay pigeon shooting using electronically converted guns. Each hit is recorded on an interactive scoreboard, making this a fun and highly competitive game. 45 minutes. 1-8 guests: 675.00 inc VAT FALCONRY An introduction to the art, leading onto a hands on session flying the birds. The finale is not to be missed with the falconer working the bird at close quarters to the lure. 1-8 guests: 460.00 inc VAT APACHE BUGGY RACING The ultimate rush. 0-60mph in under 4 seconds, power slides and 750cc of unrestricted adrenaline - all in complete safety. Not suitable for under 12s. Available Monday - Saturday 1-4 guests: 560.00 inc VAT each additional guest: 95.00 inc VAT DUCK HERDING Hilarious, engaging and truly unique. A lively gaggle of ducks and geese have been let loose and a well-trained border collie is awaiting instruction to guide them home! 1-8 guests: 675.00 inc VAT FLY FISHING Held at the professionally run Rockbourne Trout Fishery in Fordingbridge about 40 minutes from Chewton Glen. 1/2 day and full days available with or without instruction. Prices available on request FAMILY TREASURE HUNT Enjoy a Family Treasure Hunt in the grounds of Chewton Glen. Following a trail of various waypoints, challenges and questions designed to test the skills of all ages. Poo h Sticks First mentioned in the book by A.A. Milne The House At Pooh Corner. It is a simple sport which can be played from the bridge over the Chewton Bunny stream situated by the 1st tee on the golf course; each player drops a stick on the upstream of the bridge and the one whose stick first appears on the downstream side is the winner. Bug Hotel Pop on your wellie boots and outdoor clothing and go on a bug hunt. Grab a bug crib sheet from reception and take a trip to our five star bug hotel. How many mini-beasts can you spot? Fun Fre e Things To Do At Chewton Glen5 Cycling Take advantage of Chewton Glen s complimentary mountain bikes and explore the local area. Maps, safety helmets, adult, child and baby pullalong bikes available. Beach Walk Take the path used by smugglers along Chewton Bunny to the beach at Highcliffe. At the beach head towards Mudeford and stop off to see Highcliffe Castle, home of the Selfridge family from 1916 1922. Croquet First introduced to Britain from France during the reign of Charles II of England, it was played under the name of paille-maille, derived from the Latin words for ball and mallet. There are junior sets for the children and if you have never played just ask reception for instructions.
