Many schools in our province offer this to school age children and we will be following the same policies that other schools use. We are looking forward to making this a positive experience and with cooperation from teachers, instructors and parents. A letter will be coming home to children from participating grades prior to the public registration. The letter will ensure children have permission to participate and parents are well informed of the process, including how registration will be managed. Families will still be required to register and pay the fee for the lesson. Please note that KIDSPORT is available and that information will also be sent home to families. Swimming Lesson Registration will begin Tuesday May 15th. Our pool manager will be taking registrations that day and can answer any questions. Please call 834-2344 or stop by the Rec office in the Courthouse, Monday to Friday, to sign up. Payment must be received a week following registration or spot may not be held. Red Cross Swim Courses Preschool Program This program allows children to enter levels based on their age and abilities. Each level is built around an aquatic animal theme and has its own mascot which will make learning engaging and fun for young children. Your children will progress through the preschool swim program until they reach the age of 6 years when they will be transferred into the Red Cross Swim Kids program according to their individual swimming ability. The 2 programs have been built to coincide with each other and offer your child the best aquatic learning environment our instructors can offer. Red Cross Swim Kids Level 1-10 This program for school aged children will help swimmers develop all six swimming strokes, actively learn how to be safe around the water and increase their fitness and endurance through fun activities.
