Knight SASS #36423 frontiersman at September s Match. You can dress up in your favorite costume for October s Halloween Match and then vote for the best costumed cowboy and cowgirl. And, November will be a Wild Bunch shoot. At the November business meeting we will be voting for the next executive committee, so members are invited to attend Howdy all! WHEW! We made it thru another Annual Shootout at Lithia Springs. I hope everyone had as much fun as I did. This year we had 58 shooters enjoying our match, most of them brought along family and or friends to watch the shooting and keep us company around the chow-tables. This match was made possible by the hard work of folks like; Bear Bone Smith, Broken Bow Belle, Checotah, Col. Cornelius Gilliam, H. Apple Bob, Harley Davidson, JD Walker, Just Bill, Lady Liberty, Lithia Star, MT Dawson, Oregon Outrider, Paradise Patty, Shootin' Silver Star, Sourdough Smitty and Two Tone (apologies if I ve forgotten anyone s name here). These folks worked long hard hours to make this shoot possible, taking on tasks that ranged from Restroom clean-up to Writing, Steel hauling/set-up to maintaining cold water in all of the coolers and every other task necessary to make a shoot like this go off seamlessly. Awesome job! This year s annual event had an Unofficial theme of the Future of CAS/ SASS. Then to wrap up the year, we will having a Cowboy Christmas Celebration. Mark your calendars for December 15th. More details will follow as the planning begins. Until next time, happy reading! est I have seen at any CAS event!). The young gun crowd consisted of Destiny Hawk, Kid Gunslinger, Kookanadude and Lithia Star. Too young to shoot but still willing to lend a helping hand were Padawan and TNT Mighty Mite. It s good visiting with and shooting with all of you! All the stages for this year s Shootout at Lithia Springs were written by Col. Cornelius Gilliam. Top shooters for the match were 3 rd Place, Tule Spud (B-Western); 2 nd Place, Ramblin Dave (Senior) and 1 st place Purgatory Smith (Gunfighter). (Continued on Page 6)
