Year 11 Todd, Mark & Steve After such a turbulent end to last week s game was pleasing to see we turned up to play footy. We got off to a flyer in the 1 st quarter kicking 6.1, from there we consolidated our dominance across the entire field to score a big win. Players executed the game plan to perfection dominating the game for 4 quarters. We took the risk and pushed the ball through the corridor at every opportunity which paid dividends, great team discipline for the entire 4 quarters we didn t deviated from the plan even when we started to get fatigued. Still have to work on our fitness though so we can sustain 4 solid quarters of footy against the top teams. Some great individual efforts throughout the game too many to mention, the pleasing thing was we played well as a team, everyone stood up and did the job required. Let s hope we see SJ hold onto one soon he s threatening to take mark of the century each week Big test this week against Caversham, time to back up and put another solid game together in front of our home crowd Year 10 Brad, John, Karen & Charlie BYE Year 7 Darren and Ian BYE

Year 6 Trent & Nat The team was back after a week s break and team building outing, to take on local rivals Redcliffe. The break, along with those who have also represented the Year 7s, showed the team is ready to finish the year strongly. The team dominated the game from start to finish and continued to show good team work and positive play, further showing they have been listening at training. Congratulations to Jesse who has reached 50 games for Belmont, joining his brothers and father who have also represented Belmont proudly in previous years. We still have a few more milestones to be reached later in the season. Friday night game under lights this Friday at Kenwick, so don t forget your extra clothing to stay warm. We also have the Belmont JFC and Senior Club Quiz Night coming up on the Saturday Night so get a table organised for a big night Year 5 Black Candice & Mike Friday 17th June Friday Night under Lights, and we were all excited from the players to the parents. After changing our training up and talking about team work and how we want to play the game. I could see from the get go on Friday Night that the team and each individuals efforts had grown. From the first bounce the team went 110% into each contest following through with what they have learnt from training drills and each putting the team first. Each player from the Year 5 black team should be proud of themselves. Well done Year 5 Red Caitlin & Nikki This week the year 5 Red team were back at home against Lynwood-Ferndale. It was a fantastic day for football. This was probably the most physical and hard game for the Red team so far. The first half was not our best football, but in the second half I challenged them to be first to the ball, take the game on and play our style of football. I was proud of the way we came out in the second half with everyone taking on board everything I had said. Everyone had some time in the backline and some great team work emerged, as we stopped multiple goals and worked together to get the ball out and into our forward line. Looking forward to the game next week and having some fun at the district parade on Saturday afternoon.

Year 4 Black Rob & Steve The Year 4 Belmont Black team were confronted with a visibly bigger and stronger opponent in Gosnells on the weekend. However, through superior skill and committed teamwork the Bombers were able to outclass their opponents to record a well deserved victory. Most pleasing was the improvement shown by all players, especially disposing of the ball when tackled and also providing options off the ball. Thanks to all parent/family helpers for their efforts on the day. Captain: Connor Goal Kickers: Riley, Tyson, Deacon, Jaxon and Caleb Year 4 Red Mark & Tanya Friday 17th June Year 3 Red Geoff and Andrea A beautiful morning for football at home against Thornlie green, who were undermanned and needed 5 players to even it up. Which meant everyone got a full game in one way or another. Our accurate kicking saw more goals than behinds and proved instrumental to our win. Many of the team showed great hunger for the ball and talked to each other, however there were moments when others were somewhat distracted and forgot why they were on the field. We'll need to step up the concentration next week if we want to dominate in the Year 3 Belmont derby! We've seen some great commitment at training learning new skills, our challenge is to use those skills on game day.

Year 3 Black Mick & Katrina For the second time in 3 weeks the boys travelled out to Huntingdale this time to play their white side and came away with a comfortable win. The first term saw a good battle between the sides which was a bit of an arm-wrestle before our players managed to grab the ascendency and kick away from there. The tackling and pressure applied to the opposition was outstanding as was their team work to set up the goals. It's going to be a big game this week as we have the Belmont derby so do yourselves a favour and get on down to see all our talent coming through. Auskick This week was the annual Auskick Gala day which was held at Curtin University's South Oval. It was fantastic to see the kids displaying their newly developed skills and knowledge of the game to full effect, whilst having a great time making new friends and playing against other clubs. Positive things to report only. Well done again to the hardworking Team Managers, Coaches and Parent Volunteers. Well done to the kids for competing so fairly and respectfully, whilst maintaining a competitive edge. John
