Open Forum New PO Box established at PO Box 5351 Wilmington, DE 19808 Pat spoke with Rep at New Castle and they are interested in interleague play with Capitol Tabling a suggestion by Jason Davis to initiate a playoff tourney with Midway Motion made by Pat McGrory to interleague with Stanton. Fundraising $675.00 packages sold out Sweatshirt order forms provided by Heather/displayed for registrations 3. Concessions 4. Concession meeting held 2-7-17. Six people in attendance. A breakdown of how concessions is handled was provided by Diana Vitcusky Chick-fil-a for opening day at BSS Pat McGrory is looking to see if DMA students can work at the concession stands to use towards their volunteer hours Safety
Mike Zielinski sent request in to state for donation of new AED(s) to be donated to Capitol 3/25/17 @ Mill Creek Fire Co. 3808 Kirkwood Hwy from 10am to 2pm CPR/AED Heartsavers class for up to 15 Capitol Members Mike Z. spoke to Tom Szymanski regarding repair of safety netting. Willing to donate equipment/supplies for advertisement. Mike W. has options with Sunbelt Rentals if necessary as well. 5.Fields/Buildings As per Andrew Brantley the mower for Catalina needs some repairs/maintenance. 6. Umpires As per Jimmy Lynch, Majors coaches will serve as home plate umpires for minors games and the home team will provide a parent to serve as a base coach. Majors will still have paid umpires behind home plate. Jimmy Lynch will send an email to members detailing the changes as well as put together a schedule. There is a Free Umpire Clinic Saturday, February 18th at the Bible Fellowship Church at 808 S. Old Baltimore Pike, Newark from 8am to 12pm. Sharon to post on Facebook and send out email to members. 7. VP Majors/Minors
Most likely looking at 36 players in the majors this year as opposed to the 44 in 2016, thus having 3 instead of 4 teams. Evaluations are Saturday 2-25-17 10a-1p and Sunday the 26th from 9a to 11a Majors will be able to play Midway on opening day if down to 3 teams 8. VP TB/PW 9. VP Jr/Sr o 2016 and 2015 registration lists to be provided to Mike W and Sharon to reach out to those who have aged out of Majors in hopes of having a full Capitol Juniors team 10. Volunteer Coordinator 11. Information Officer Group events created on Facebook page and email reminders sent for each new registration date and evaluations.
Kim is adjusting the PO Box on the website and forms. Asks for assistance in making sure she did not miss any and if she did to let her know. 12. Player Agent As of 15:00 today we were at a total of 47 registrations Pat McGrory proposed we look into alternative ways to select our All Star Teams such as having the kids vote or better evaluating the statistics. As a whole, the board decided to bring this issue up nearer to the end of the season. 13. Coaching Coordinator A sign up list has been placed in the clubhouse for those interested in coaching coming in to register their children for little league. After registrations and evaluations are over, the list will be passed on to Tom Moore. 14. Equipment 15. Fall Ball All 2016 Fall Ball checks were cashed
Any Capitol members who paid for Fall Ball 2016 are receiving a $50.00 credit on their Spring registrations -Good of the League Sharon will provide up to date registration numbers and information by the evening of Sunday 2-19-2016. -Good of the League Motion to close at pm by Tom Moore 20:36.
