The 2018 scholarship skate competition will feature an amateur open skate for ages 6 to 18 from 10:00am to 11:00am. Professional skater AJ Kohn will emcee the event and his team will be putting on a show for all in attendance! This competitive-free session will give ALL skaters the opportunity to come out to show off their talents. The traditional skate competition will commence at 11:15am for ages 8 to 18. The ages will be broken down into the following categories: 8 to 11, 12 to 14 and 15 to 18. The competition will be set up as a jam session. Come out to skate, watch your friends, or simply take part in the festivities! Prizes will be awarded to winners! Food and merchandise will be for sale. **Wavier must be signed by parent/guardian if under 18** **Helmets, elbow pads, and knee pads are required!** Date: Saturday, September 22 nd Rain date: Saturday, October 6 th Entry Fee: $5.00 Registration and open amateur skate: 10:00-11:00am (Ages 6-18) Skate Competition begins at 11:15am (Ages 8-18) Skate Park Seasonal Skate Pass is $10/per child Skate boards & in-line skates only All skaters must wear a helmet, elbow pads and knee pads *Proceeds from this event will go toward providing a scholarship for a college bound Club member! ** The Club may close periodically for special events. We ll gather in the gym for a FREE pasta and salad dinner and highlight the fun times shared at the Club!

Special Events Tween Night When: Friday, October 5 th Who: 4 th, 5 th, and 6 th Graders Time: 7:00-9:00pm Cost: $5 Get your friends and get ready to rock! We ll dance the night away to the most popular songs! The gyms will be opened for organized games and activities. The night will include snacks, games, and of course, dancing! Invite your friends! Non-members are invited to join us with a parent signed guest permission slip. Permission slips can be found at www.npvclub.org. 4 th Annual Halloween Spooktacular When: Friday, October 26 th Who: All Club Members, their families, and members of the community Time: 6:00-7:30pm The Club will be transformed into a scary, spooktacular haunted house as everyone is invited to trick-or-treat through our Club in their costumes and visit each homework room for sweet treats! Beware of goblins and ghosts! The party will continue in our gamesroom with fun games, activities, and snacks for everyone to enjoy! **Please note the Club will be CLOSED on October 26 th to set up our decorations. The Club will open its doors at 6pm for the Spooktacular** When: Friday, November 2 nd Time: 5:30pm registration, 6-10pm game play. Who: Boys & Girls Ages 9 & up Cost: $5 Grab your friends and come out for a night of lazer tag fun! Kids will play in teams of 5 (don t worry we ll help you if you need a team) for a fun, round robin style tournament. Teams will advance to the playoffs where they will compete to see which team is crowned the IVBGC Lazer Tag Champions! Each team will be guaranteed at least four games of lazer tag. When you re not playing, you can hang out in our gamesroom. Snacks will be available for purchase. Non-Club members are invited to play! Turkey Fowl Shot Competition When: Friday, November 16 th Who: All Club Members Time: 4:00pm All members will have the opportunity to compete in our annual Turkey Fowl Shot competition which will put your basketball skills to the test! Winners for each age group will receive a frozen turkey just in time for Thanksgiving! **Age groups are 6-8, 9-10, 11-13, and 14 & up** **All non-club members must have a parent-signed guest permission slip** You can find the permission slip at www.npvclub.org, or stop by the Club a couple days before to pick one up.

Athletics & Fitness GaGa Club When: 6-9 year olds Mondays, starting September 24 th November 12 th 10-13 year olds Wednesdays, starting September 26 th -November 28 th No programs October 31 st or November 21 st Who: 6-9 year olds & 10-13 year old members Do you love playing Gaga? Join us each week for an hour of GaGa fun! Gaga is a fast paced, high energy sport played in an octagonal pit. The more players the better! Dubbed a kinder gentler version of dodge ball, the game is played with a soft foam ball, and combines the skills of dodging, striking, running, and jumping, while trying to hit opponents with a ball below the knees. We ll pick teams, build the gaga pit, and play to win! Mini Soccer Starz When: Tuesdays, starting September 18 th November 13 th (No program November 6 th ) Time: 6:00 6:45pm Cost: $20 *If signups permit, games will be played 6:00-6:45pm and 6:45-7:30pm* Who: 4-5 year old members (4 & 5 year olds receive a free limited access membership) Mini Soccer Starz will utilize creative and imaginative games to focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing and shooting. The program will highlight a positive character trait each session such as respect, teamwork and appreciation as our youngest members learn soccer fundamentals. Members will be broken up into teams and play games weekly after the fundamentals are reviewed. Schedules and team assignments will be given to the parents prior to the first session. Participants will receive an IVBGC Mini Soccer Starz t-shirt.

Weekly Programs Torch When: Mondays, starting September 24 th -November 12 th Time: 6:00 7:00pm Who: All members ages 9-11 years old Want to spend time building friendships, having fun and being an important part of the Club? Join Torch Club! This program, for members 9-11 years old, will give you a sense of belonging, a sense of community, and will teach you leadership skills. Each week Torch Club members will hang out, play games, and plan fun projects. Torch Club members will also participate in fundraisers for service projects and fun field trips! Project Runway When: Tuesdays, starting September 18 th November 13 th (No program November 6 th ) Times: 6:00-7:00 pm Who: 9-12 year olds members Do you have a future in fashion design? Love clothes and dressing up? Bring your passion to the program with Project Runway! Members will learn how to sketch their own designs and bring their clothing ideas to life. Members will be challenged to create fashion from the unusual as they showcase their talents at the Club in a Project Runway Fashion Show at the conclusion of the program! Key Club When: Wednesdays, starting September 26 th - November 28 th (No programs on October 31 st or November 21 st ) Time: 4:30-5:30pm Who: All members ages 12 & up Get ready for another great year of Key Club! Filled with fun trips, service projects, and leadership development activities, Key Club members are able to become leaders among their peers at the Club. This year, Key Club members will tour new colleges they did not experience last year, lend a hand at Special Olympics, and take field trips to places such as the Da Vinci Science Center and a local Escape Room.

Weekly Programs The Enchanted Forest Fairy Training Club When: Wednesdays, starting September 26 th -November 28 th (No programs October 31 st or November 21 st ) Time: 6:00 7:00pm Who: 6-9 year olds Have you always wanted to be a fairy and live in an enchanted forest? During this 8 week training program, you will learn what it takes to be truly magical! Activities will include making a fairy house, fairy wands, and ultimately earning your fairy wings! Smart Girls When: Wednesdays, starting September 26 th -November 28 th (No programs October 31 st or November 21 st ) Who: 10-13 year old girls Learning to make smart decisions is the key to a healthy lifestyle and healthy relationships! Together girls will explore topics such as eating right, staying fit, and developing positive relationships and friendships while participating in fun activities each week! This program will help you learn how to be the BEST you! A Pirate s Life for Me! When: Thursdays, starting September 20 th - November 15 th (No program October 18 th ) Who: 6-9 year old members Ahoy mateys! All of our swashbuckling members are invited to gather their shipmates and get ready for some pirate fun! You ll learn to talk like a pirate, act like a pirate and work together as a team! Be warned though! If you do not behave, you may have to walk the plank! Each week members will get one step closer to finding the hidden IVBGC treasure as they learn what it s like to live a pirate s life! Arghh!

Weekly Programs Khan Academy Pixar in a Box When: Thursdays, starting September 20 th - November 15 th (No program October 18 th ) Time: 4:30-5:30pm Who: Middle School and High School members Pixar in a Box is a behind-the-scenes look at how Pixar artists do their jobs. You will be able to animate bouncing balls, build a swarm of robots, and make virtual fireworks explode. The subjects you learn in school math, science, computer science, and humanities are used every day to create amazing movies at Pixar. This collaboration between Pixar Animation Studios and Khan Academy is sponsored by Disney. Each week members will work through a series of activities to learn the science used to create their favorite movies! Silly Science When: Thursdays, starting September 20 th - November 15 th (No program October 18 th ) Who: 9-12 year olds Let s have fun and explore the world around us! Silly science members will learn STEM concepts with hands on activities. Each session will focus on a fun aspect of science. Learn why you need baking soda to make cookies and what goes into making your own lava lamp. Try your hand at the physics of building an incredible machine. Look into the night sky and learn about the stars! Science is fun and science is silly at IVBGC!
