The Club initiated formality introductions of the PTC Panel Executive Committee: President, Lana Sanders; Vice President, Kristin Patey; Treasurer, Sophie Matthys; and Secretary, Marcia Bender. Kieth Kriewaldt, Laura Lee, Lisa Jelen, Andrea Gritzmacher, and Erin Labs were also in attendance. Financial Report The checking account balance is $27,499. The Brat Fry made $5,272.18. Robert s Night raised $500. The BP Gift Cards sold out by May 5th. The PTC paid $25k back to the school for playground loan. We also paid the school for half of the popcorn machine. We bought the T-shirts for the brat fry and paid for the 8th grade field trip. Jenny Horner still owes $18,110 and she has 3 years to pay off. Her deadline to pay back the monies owed is 5/2019. The parole officer is giving her a chance to catch up though she is behind $2,000 in payments. The PTC has a net profit on $16,597.64. The Budget was updated and the PTC took the concessions out the budget. It comes down to someone stepping up to help as it was never done for profit but it gave the kids something to eat. The Budget for the year is $13,050. We had an income for Amazon Smile of $43.00 from three months. The audit was completed at the PTC Executive Committee Meeting. Lana Sanders made a motion to accept the 2016-2017 year financial review. Laura Lee to second. All in favor. Motion passed. Lana Sanders made a motion to accept the Budget. Lisa Jelen to second. All in favor, none opposed. Motion passed. Events Erin Labs is taking over the book fair. It is the week of conferences October 16, 17 & 18. We are able to do online sales and can use link on school s Face Book page. Teachers can go online to promote the books and make a wish list to buy the classroom books online though it has to be within the week of the book fair. There will be two deliveries and the selection is better online. We can use Sign Up Genius for volunteers. It was decided not to have Fall Fest as it costs a lot for the small amount of kids that show. The PTC is going to try a Trunk-or-Treat, on Friday, October 13th from 5-7. We could show an outside movie and keep it 4 K-5th grades. Everyone supplies their own truck, decorations and candy. A prize will be given for the best decorated car. Hartford s downtown Trick-or-Treat is Saturday, October 28th, from 1-2:30. Hartford football game is at 7:00 p.m. on the 13th. Discussed ideas such as prize for best costume and coloring contest. Marcia Bender to chair and prepare flyer so that participants can email to reserve a parking lot spot. Gift cards for prizes are the best.

Erin Labs will get back to Kristin Patey about helping with the Holiday Craft Day which is December 1st from 2:30-3:16 p.m. The PTC will try to find two people chair the Fun fair by the October meeting. Laura Lee can still chair cafe but needs a co-chair or helper. Kieth Kriewaldt will ask some of the parents to help. Lana Sanders will attempt to find a person to be the chair. Support Requests Playground - Phase II. The PTC is talking about the possibility of pouring a concrete area for the swings and getting the basketball hoops out of the parking lot. We are looking into something else for middle school and looking for climbing items as well as ideas but focusing on Basketball. The PTC will look to pay for it with Fun Fair money next year. Depending on the quote, we are looking at Phase II to start next summer. Four basketball hoops. About 30 x 40. The Running Club T-shirts were not requested this year. There are two nights of parent/teacher conferences and Kieth Kriewaldt is asking for the PTC to provide a staff meal as we previously provided 2 for 1 pizza from the Mineshaft last year. Lisa Jelen to volunteer and Lana Sanders to help with dinner on Wednesday, October 18th. November 4th is the Erin Hills Fun Run. Kieth Kriewaldt will not be there this year. Nothing new to report for Box Tops. Updates/New Business Mrs. Schuler would like to do The Christmas sale again for Original Works. It will be sent out to us by October 26th, and they will send out letters by 11/8. The deadline for ordering is 11/27 to receive the product back by 12/13, the Wednesday or Thursday before last week leading up to Winter Break. The deadline for manual orders is 11/17. We can put table out at conferences and Kristin Patey will set it up. Kristin Patey went back to her notes and every month that s not December, Larry Goeman will give us 10% back for the gift cards. We can take orders every two weeks. It was suggested to have Kristin Patey make one purchase on July 1st for $1,200 and wait until Christmas to order again. We could buy $1,000 now and get through Christmas and buy them in $1,000 increments. Lana Sanders made a motion to purchase in advance $1,000 in Goeman s gift cards and repurchase in $1,000 increments. Erin Labs to second. All in favor and motion passed. The slip will need to be sent out right away. The PTC is talking about having a Read-A-Thon and Dee Schultz knows someone who is part of one. Discussions ensued about having this as a Fall Fundraiser and keep the Fun Fair as the Spring Fundraiser. Lana Sanders will follow up with Dee Schultz. Currently Erin School reads 100 minutes for the 100th day of school and the 7th grade does a Read-In.

May Minutes Kieth Kriewaldt has made a motion to approve the May minutes and Sophie Matthys to second. All in favor and the motion passed. Comments from the Floor The Fun Fair will either be March 3rd or March 10th depending on the basketball tournament. The PTC will need to check with Dee Schultz for fun fair dates and look at the calendar for boy s basketball. Julie Pfiefer is willing to help out. Closing Business The next PTC meeting will be on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. Lana Sanders brought forth a motion to adjourn the meeting.
