Kishwaukee Chronicle FEBRUARY 6, 2018 Note from the Editor. Renewals will be coming out soon. You can pick up a form at the club house and beat the rush. Work hours are done for 2017. If you didn t get in your hours, then you will be required to send in $20 per hour not completed with your renewal payment. $120 for working and $220 for non-working. The rate for Students stays the same, but those ages 18 and older will be required 4 working hours. Dan Kollins Introduction Grab your gear and come out to the club for some practice to insure you are ready for your next shot of the lifetime. Fox Valley Archery (formally Buckstop Archery) has changed their name but not their location and contact number. Check them out a www.foxvalleyarchery.net or 847-844-3337 a 10% discount is still in effect for K.A. Members. Share your sport and invite a new shooter or experienced shooter to accompany you. Do you remember who introduced you to the sport of archery? Maybe you could be that person for your new shooting partner. No news is good news, but no news means a blank newsletter. Please send in your stories, pictures and ideas. This is a newsletter about the club and its members. If you have something to share, email one of the officers listed at the bottom of the newsletter. Club Meetings The Meetings are held the first Thursday of the month 7pm, at the club house. Club logo Decals, Hats, and T-shirts Show some support to your club!!! It s your responsibility to get approval from a board member prior to performing the work and to write your hours down. All members with working memberships must have their hours completed between January 1st and December 31st of each calendar year. Sunday 3d fun shoot. Set up and take down. ½ hr each. Indoor 3D shoots for Jan, Feb, and March. Setup starts on Friday before shoot at 5pm. Take down starts Sunday 1pm. Wall turning Feb 17 th 9am. Anyone willing to work in the kitchen during any or all of the upcoming shoots please contact Tony Skiroock 847-343-3336.

Setup and take down help needed for 3d shoots. 5pm Friday before shoot New Business: Guest Fee Reminder All members are reminded that the $5.00 guest fee applies to the Outdoor Range and Outdoor practice targets as well as the Indoor Range. If you bring guest, please sign them in and pay in the guest fee box located in the Indoor Range Outdoor range needs optional targets. Solid Rock not working for all shooters. April 21 st. Scouts will be out to work on the outdoor tail. Need trees cleaned up before they arrive. Request for 1 extra mobile target (not solid rock) for kids shooting. White tail donated $750 and requested there banner be put up. All indoor leagues reported that they are doing good and having fun. KIA picnic September 8 th. Summer outdoor 3d shoot dates are set. o May 5-6 o Jun 2-3 (MAC) o Jul 14-15 o Aug 11-12 Todd Moser memorial shoot.

Club I.D. Remember to display your club I.D. card on your quiver or bow case. If you don t know someone ask them to see their card. This is a way to meet members you don t know or haven t met. This could become your next shooting or hunting partner. Pictures!! (Send in a picture of your buck or doe you shot this year or any year and we ll put it in the newsletter! Tell us about the deer; where you shot it; how it scored; etc. You can also send in other archery related pictures as well.) Congrats on a great hunt Bud Calbeck!!!! On Sept. 5 2017 I took this Bull in Game Unit 45 near Buffalo Wy. It took 8 years to draw a tag. I hired Seven J outfitters of Sundance. Great outfitter!! Hours of practice on the elk target at Kishwaukee Archery Club made it successful. Bud. Remember, this is your club and you have a right to card someone you don t know. NOTICE! Broadhead arrows are allowed only in the sandpits! No broadhead arrows are allowed in the indoor range
