August 2015 Page 3 Jackson Purchase Rifle and Pistol Club Paducah Shooters Supply July 20, 2015 Minutes The July 20, monthly meeting of the JPRPC was called to order by President Chance Clanahan, at Paducah Shooters Supply Community Building at 6:39 pm. There were 11 in attendance. Minutes: MOTION I: Dave Finke moved to accept the April 20 Minutes as printed in On Target. Seconded and approved. In the absence of the secretary at the June 15 meeting, George Reynolds was appointed secretary pro tem. The June minutes were read and copies made available to members at the meeting. MOTION II: Dave Finke moved to accept the June 15 Minutes. Seconded and approved. Financial Report: Treasurer Gary Lambert distributed the financial report. Net for June was negative due to range maintenance and transfer of funds to establish a separate Junior account. Copies of the complete report were made available to those at the meeting. CONTINUING BUSINESS: Disciplines: Juniors The third match of the season is scheduled for July 25 with the last August 29. Justin Riley made note that the date of the last match was changed from the 22nd. He and Chance will get together this week to set up the Junior account. Big Bore It was reported that the last match was the best ever with 33 entries. Plates The last match will be in September. Check the newsletter and website (www.jprpc.net) for the date. High Power The match on the 11th had 11 participating. Larry Evans took High Master with 780x24. His prone score was 199. Website The list of 2015 officers has been updated. There was discussion as to various local hosts available and what we want on the website. Newsletter There was discussion about the cost of the newsletter. Gary Lambert stated that it is about 80 cents per member. Range: Two of the four at the Rifle Range need to be replaced. Southfork now is the only company carrying these bulbs in town. There was discussion as to where targets should be set up so that members would not shoot over the berms. Chance said that Doug Riddley would like to donate his time and materials to build new frames. Public Range: At the time of the addition of the Public Range to the lease, the total acreage was increased from 10 to 20 acres. The addition was reduced to12 acres, as Lynn McCutchen wanted to keep the pond behind the berms. Chance stated that he and Lynn recently discussed remeasuring the acreage and setting up a separate entity from McCutchen Farms as the lessee. NEW BUSINESS: New Membership - Dave Finke recommended the following for Membership: Chef C. E. Mines, L. C. Kolb, Lisa L. Smith, and Randy Covert. The recommendation of the Membership Committee was approved. Metal Targets Dave said that the targets show little if any damage and will try to put up two more this week. Orientation Bob Longworth presented a checklist for new members to sign during their orientation. A similar checklist exits. It was decided that the lists should be compared and consolidated as the current one needs updating. A copy of the signed list would be retained with JPRPC records and the new member keep one. There being no other business, Chance adjourned the meeting at 7:43 pm. Carolyn Roof Secretary
