Cambridge Character Corner AHISD May Focus is "Self Reflection and Celebrations" Character Traits Determination: I know that it s worth it to finish what I ve started. Wisdom: I have experience and knowledge that helps me make good decisions. One of our celebrations is that Cambridge has selected a set of core values that will help drive our character education program for the future! It was a process that involved staff, parents and a student panel from grades 3-5. Our Cambridge Core Values are: Integrity, Compassion, Gratitude, Perseverance. You will hear more about these as we begin weaving our core values into the heart and core of our school as we continue to work towards more intentional Character Education. Fifth Grade Parents GRADUATION SAVE THE DATE The Cambridge Elementary Graduation Ceremony will be held on Thursday June 1st at 10 AM in the Cambridge Auditorium. Parents may sign out students for their final dismissal following the ceremony. Mental Health First Aid Training: Will be offered by Ms. Pringle, School Nurse at AHJS. This all day training will teach you how to provide initial help to someone experiencing a mental health crisis. Training is open to the AHISD community and staff (18 and over) The goal of the training is to decrease stigma and increase literacy surrounding Mental Health. Please register at the link below, space is limited. This training can be used for trade days for JS staff (other campuses will need admin approval for trade day) Hope to see you there! May 13 Course: http://bit.ly/2myap9e Yearbooks are available for sale through May 19 for $35, and will be distributed to classrooms when they arrive from the publisher. Order your yearbook at www.cambridgepto.org. After May 19, yearbooks will be for sale for $35 in front of the school during the last week of school. Visitors During Lunch Time: Please enjoy your lunch with only your child in either of our 2 designated guest areas: outside under the canopy or in the Cambridge Café. HEB Cards: Please email Amy Spears, amyspears@aol.com, to place an order. Remember, this is an ongoing fundraiser with HEB cards delivered the first week of each month. We are offering increments of $25, $50, and $100. If you would like to participate, contact Amy at any time. Remember, Cambridge receives $5 for every $100 spent. Thank you for supporting our school! From the Office: Please remember to mark all personal items with your child s name including jackets, lunch boxes, backpacks and notebooks. This helps with the lost and found.
