VILLAGE OF SUMMARY Denmark had 120 total incidents in April DEO Dzekute and DEO Delebreau handled 80 of the 120 incidents in the village (66.67%) All numbers as of 9:42am on 04-28-17 VILLAGE OF PATROL DEOs made 17 traffic stops, issued 14 citations, and 17 warnings. County Patrol made 1 traffic stop and issued 1 warning BROWN COUNTY DRUG TASK FORCE No ongoing investigations in the village at this time, but the DEOs will be in contact with officers from the Brown County Drug Task Force to obtain any pertinent information for the village. Both DEOs continue to monitor the drug tips to keep up to date on any possible drug activity in the village. There have been drug tips from some residents that have come in to the DEOs and they will be following up on them 2

B.C.S.O. VEST- IGATORS There are 0 open cases in the village at this time. The DEOs continue to work with and communicate with the BCSO Investigators about open cases and current investigations. OWI ARRESTS There were 0 OWI arrest made during the month of March but enforcement has continued throughout the village. There were several reckless driving complaints tha came in that were looked into but none of them turned out to be drunk drivers. DEO'S DEOs have been increasing presence in the school zones due to concerns over reckless driving by students leaving the parking lot. With the completion of our first draft of the ordinances we hope to increase patrols throughout the village. Both DEOs continue to assist with the seatbelt project that is going on throughout Brown County. This includes seatbelt counts and education to school age drivers. Please be safe and ensure that everyone in your vehicle is wearing a proper seatbelt. 3

04-03-17 DEO Dzekute conducted a level 3 lockdown drill at Denmark Early Childhood Center. The drill went very well. 04-04-17 Both DEOs assisted with security at the village hall during voting day. There was a great turn out and we want to thank everyone who came out to exercise your right to vote. 04-08-17 DEO Delebreau visited the high school prom while on patrol. He stopped in to check on the dance and made a few passes through the parking lot to make sure there was no suspicious activity going on. 04-11-17 DEO Dzekute began getting volunteers to help with a seatbelt project that is going to be conducted at the high school both before and after school. 04-12-17 DEO Dzekute was called to the middle school for a student who had a seizure on the playground. The staff at the school rapidly took the proper steps to make sure the situation was under control as soon as possible. Excellent job by all the staff at the middle school!! Rescue arrived and took over care of the student. 04-18-17 DEO Dzekute conducted a level 3 lockdown drill at the high school. 04-18-17 Both DEOs attended a meeting to go over the changes that will be made to the village s ordinance book. 04-18-17 Both DEOs attended a planning meeting for the Lion s club Rockin The Hill Concert this summer. 04-19-17 DEO Dzekute conducted an intruder/level 3 lockdown drill at the high school. 04-20-17 DEO Dzekute was asked to assist the Bellevue DEOs with some active shooter training at Bellin College. 04-24-17 DEO Dzekute began the seatbelt project at the high school that will be taking place over the next three weeks. A big thank you goes out to all the student volunteers who are helping out. This project would not be possible without all of them. 04-25-17 DEO Dzekute conducted a level 3 lockdown drill at the elementary school. 04-26-17 DEO Delebreau gave an interview to the Denmark News about the village s recodification 04-26-17 DEO Delebreau attended an abatement meeting at the village hall. 04-27-17 Both DEOs made contact with a male who has been loitering in the village. He was advised that his behavior was drawing negative attention from residents and we would continue to monitor behavior and future calls. 04-27-17 DEO Delebreau investigated a suspicious male at Subway. The male was there using the Wi-fi. No other action was needed. 04-29-17 DEO Dzekute hosted our spring Drug Take Back event. The event was a huge success. Thank you to everyone that stopped by to drop off their unused or expired drugs. 5

FORMATION BULLET Some of you may have noticed someone who appears to be suspicious at the intersection of CTH R and CTH KB. This person is our own DEO Delebreau. Both DEOs have been assisting Brown County with a seatbelt campaign that has been going on since September 2016. We are attempting to raise our seatbelt usage statewide and Brown County is a pilot program for this campaign. Some quick numbers on seatbelt usage: Wisconsin 86%, National Average 88%, States Surrounding Wisconsin 90%+. We would like to get to a much higher percentage. So if you have seen DEO Delebreau out there he has been recording seatbelt usage on a monthly basis. DEO Dzekute has just started a seatbelt project that is being conducted at the high school. Students are volunteering to stand at the entrances to the parking lot both before school and after school to remind people to wear their seatbelts. This will be a 3 week project and hopefully by week three we can have everyone traveling in and out of the parking lot wearing their seatbelts. IRS scams are still going around so please be aware of anything you think is a scam. A big thing to remember is that the IRS is going to use the postal service if there is going to be any contact. If you receive a call that you feel is a possible scam don t give out any information and report the incident by calling 920-391-7450 Just a reminder to keep all vehicles, homes, and outbuildings locked. We may trust our neighbors, but can we always trust the stranger that finds their way into the village. DON T be a soft target for criminal activity. It is important to remember to call in any type of suspicious activity. With the recent string of thefts we have had some incidents that have not been called in when they happen. The sooner the activity gets called in the sooner we can get officers in the area and hopefully get this problem to stop. The number to call is 920-391-7450. If it s an emergency always dial 911. The voicemail in the DEO office is now set up. We will be checking the voicemail throughout our shift. If you need an officer to come out please continue to use the non-emergency number listed above or below or 911 for an emergency. If there are any drug issues that you notice throughout the village and you would like to report them please call the Brown County Drug Task Force tip line: 920-437-DRUG(3784). The tips that come in from the village will get sent and viewed by both DEOs. We can then follow up on the tips. http://www.familywatchdog.us/ http://doc.wi.gov/community-resources/wi-sex-offender-registry 6

If anyone has a police matter that isn t an emergency but you would like an officer to come out please use the non-emergency number: 920-391-7450. This is the easiest way to either get the Denmark DEOs or if they are not available you will get an available county officer. This also helps the Denmark DEOs track the type of calls and call volume. This is what we use to make our plans on how to patrol the village. If there is an emergency that needs law enforcement action please call 911. Everyone stay safe and have a great month DEO Jonathon Dzekute 7
