VILLAGE OF SUMMARY Denmark had 99 total incidents in March DEO Dzekute and DEO Delebreau handled 60 of the 99 incidents in the village (60.6%) All numbers as of 12:00pm on 03-31-17 VILLAGE OF PATROL Denmark officers continue to monitor traffic, but the number of traffic stops has gone down for the month due to extra hours in the office working on administrative items. There is some light at the end of tunnel so we have to be getting closer to being done. DEOs made 7 traffic stops, issued 5 citations, and 5 written warning. County Patrol made 1 traffic stop and issued 2 citations There were two warrant pick up attempts made on individuals in the village with active arrest warrants. Both DEOs will try to continue monitoring and trying to pick up the active warrants in the village. BROWN COUNTY DRUG TASK FORCE No ongoing investigations in the village at this time, but the DEOs will be in contact with officers from the Brown County Drug Task Force to obtain any pertinent information for the village. Both DEOs continue to monitor the drug tips to keep up to date on any possible drug activity in the village. 2

B.C.S.O. VEST- IGATORS There are 0 open cases in the village at this time. The DEOs continue to work with and communicate with the BCSO Investigators about open cases and current investigations. OWI ARRESTS There were 0 OWI arrest made during the month of March but enforcement has continued throughout the village. DEO'S Both DEOs are looking to the future months to try to plan for the spring and summer. We will be working with our schedules to make sure that we can give as much coverage as possible. DEOs have been increasing presence in the school zones due to concerns over reckless driving by students leaving the parking lot. As of April 1 the overnight parking ban (2a-6a) will be lifted. We all understand how weather works in Wisconsin so if we get our late spring snow storm please keep vehicles off the roads so snow can be removed. On April 29 the DEOs will be hosting a "Drug Take Back" event at the Village Hall from 10a-2p. If you have any unused medication that you have in your house please stop down during the event and we will take them and get them disposed of properly. 3

03-01-17 DEO Dzekute assisted the county with a vehicle that went into the ditch on I-43 due to the snowy/slippery road conditions. After completing that assignment assistance was also requested for an accident on I-43 involving a car and a semi. Luckily there were just minor injuries from the accident. The accident was also caused by the snow covered roads. 03-07-17 DEO Dzekute was able to visit with the third graders at the elementary school during the lunch time. 03-08-17 DEO Delebreau attended the Green Bay Sex Offender Registry Board meeting to gain information that will help us with our ordinance and procedures in the village. 03-08-17 DEO Dzekute was able to visit with the elementary students during the lunch time. 03-09-17 Both DEOs responded to a medical call for a person who was choking. When officers arrived the patient was no longer choking. Rescue checked out the patient and took over care. 03-13-17 DEO Delebreau was requested to assist the county with an accident with injuries at the intersection of CTH R and CTH BB. 03-21-17 Both DEOs attempted to pick-up an active arrest warrant in the village. No contact was made with the individual but the DEOs have continued to watch for the person. 03-21-17 DEO Dzekute had a chance to sit down one on one with some of the special needs students at the elementary school. The meetings offered a great time to get to know the students. It offered the students an opportunity to have a positive interaction and to start the relationship building process. 03-22-17 DEO Dzekute conducted a level 3 lockdown drill at the middle school. The drill was a great success and the staff and students should be commended on their quick execution. 03-22-17 DEO Dzekute was able to spend some time playing 4-square and football with the students at the elementary school. 03-22-17 DEO Delebreau was requested by the county to assist with a car vs. deer accident at the intersection of CTH R and CTH BB. 03-29-17 DEO Dzekute took a report of a fraudulent vehicle posting. The victim/complainant was luckily not out any money due to digging into the listing further. The incident is being investigated with assistance of the technical analysts from BCSO. This was an excellent job of going with your gut instinct when something doesn t seem right. 03-30-17 DEO Delebreau was requested by the county to assist with an OWI arrest. He performed a DRE (Drug Recognition Expert) evaluation on the driver of a vehicle. 03-31-17 DEO Delebreau gave a presentation at the ECC for their career day. It sounded like the biggest challenge for DEO Delebreau was trying to match the student energy in the room. 5

FORMATION BULLET Drug Take Back on April 29, 2017, 10a-2p, Denmark Village Hall (118 E. Main St.) Now that we are getting into tax time you may see an increase in scams claiming to be from the IRS. A big thing to remember is that the IRS is going to use the postal service if there is going to be any contact. If you receive a call that you feel is a possible scam don t give out any information and report the incident by calling 920-391-7450 Just a reminder to keep all vehicles, homes, and outbuildings locked. We may trust our neighbors, but can we always trust the stranger that finds their way into the village. DON T be a soft target for criminal activity. It is important to remember to call in any type of suspicious activity. With the recent string of thefts we have had some incidents that have not been called in when they happen. The sooner the activity gets called in the sooner we can get officers in the area and hopefully get this problem to stop. The number to call is 920-391-7450. If it s an emergency always dial 911. The voicemail in the DEO office is now set up. We will be checking the voicemail throughout our shift. If you need an officer to come out please continue to use the non-emergency number listed above or below or 911 for an emergency. If there are any drug issues that you notice throughout the village and you would like to report them please call the Brown County Drug Task Force tip line: 920-437-DRUG(3784). The tips that come in from the village will get sent and viewed by both DEOs. We can then follow up on the tips. http://www.familywatchdog.us/ http://doc.wi.gov/community-resources/wi-sex-offender-registry If anyone has a police matter that isn t an emergency but you would like an officer to come out please use the non-emergency number: 920-391-7450. This is the easiest way to either get the Denmark DEOs or if they are not available you will get an available county officer. This also helps the Denmark DEOs track the type of calls and call volume. This is what we use to make 6

our plans on how to patrol the village. If there is an emergency that needs law enforcement action please call 911. Everyone stay safe and have a great month DEO Jonathon Dzekute 7
