Fall Fashion Show On November 30 th a fall fashion show will take place in the upstairs hall. No information provided at this time. Gaelic Football Club The Western Massachusetts Gaelic Football Club has completed their season played at the Chestnut Middle School. On Saturday August 9 th, they hosted the New Haven Gaelic Football Club prior to the JBO music festival. The menu of matches included an Under 10 game, won by New Haven, and an under 15 game, won by Springfield. The highlight of the day was a ladies Gaelic Football match won by Springfield! It is believed to be the first ladies football match ever to be played in Springfield. The day ended with an old timers game won by New Haven. In this successful season the team earned wins against Boston and New Haven, having players invited to play at the North American Championships in Philadelphia. They also enjoyed two great wins against teams from Boston at the first live Gaelic Football games to be played in Westfield in recent memory. You can still help support the team by participating in the final GAA monthly lotto of the year. Ask bartenders in either the JBO or The Sons of Erin for information. Special thanks go out to coaches and selectors including: Ed Gates, Marcus Kane, Ciaran Cullen, John Ford, Packie Smith and Eric Devine as well as The John Boyle O Reilly Club of Springfield, the Sons of Erin in Westfield and Lifetime Tilers for their continued support.
