They are a vital part of Wildcat Athletics! Thank you Community Health Sports Medicine!!

Lawrence North Student-Athletes of the Week Cade Satz, Tennis Grace Dean, Cross Country Junior Cade Satz and Sophomore Grace Dean have been selected this week s LN student-athletes of the week. Satz helped lead the Wildcat tennis team to their 6 th straight sectional championship and a first round regional win against New Palestine. Playing at #1 singles, he won 6-0, 6-0 against Warren Central, 6-0, 6-3 against Heritage Christian in the sectional championship, and 6-2, 6-0 in the first round of regionals. An honor roll student, Satz carries a 3.6 GPA. Dean led the Wildcat cross-country team to a runner-up finish at the Brebeuf sectional meet over the weekend, qualifying the team to the regional. She outpaced all runners, finishing first individually with the 5 th fastest time in LN history! She has been consistent all year and has been named to the All-MIC, All-County, and now All-Sectional team. She leads the pack in the classroom as well with a 4.1 GPA! Congrats Cade and Grace, our Lawrence North student-athletes of the week!

Cross-Country: The girls and boys XC teams finished 2 nd and 3 rd respectively at the IHSAA sectional meet at Brebeuf on Saturday. The top five team advance, so the Wildcats will be competing at the regionals in Noblesville this upcoming Saturday, October 15 th. Grace Dean was the individual girls champion, and 8 total Wildcats were named to the All-Sectional team: Dean, Maddie Loughery, Jean Carson and Gabby Grider for the girls and Kyle Harris, Will Majercak, Nick Petroy, and Will Reid for the boys. Great job, Cats! Good luck at regionals this weekend!!

Football: The Wildcats (3-5, 2-4 MIC) lost to #3 Center Grove on Friday night in a very competitive, defensive battle. Although the Cats lost 14-0, the LN defense held the defending state champions to their lowest offensive output all year. The offense had several moments where it moved the ball but costly fumbles negated those efforts. Lawrence North recognized the seniors of football, cheerleading, and band. In addition, there were many football alumni on hand to see the last regular season game in Dwaine C. Bell stadium. Thank you, seniors! Our football program has come a long way in your four years!! The Wildcats look to rebound against a Pike team (0-8, 0-6 MIC) that is giving up an average of 53 points per game this Friday night. And a special shout out to the freshman team, who played a great game to defeat Center Grove at home on Saturday morning, 12-6!

Girls Golf: Congrats to Abby Wischmann who represented Lawrence North at the annual North vs South All-Star tournament this weekend at Winding Ridge Golf Course. Abby finished 3 rd in her stage on Saturday, shooting an 81 to qualify for the finals. During the Sunday finals, she shot an 82 which put her in 7 th place overall out of 94 entries. Great job, Abby! Fantastic season and career as a Wildcat golfer!

Boys Soccer: The LN soccer team lost to Cathedral 4-1 in the opening round of the sectional. The Cats finished the season 5-9-3 against one of the toughest schedules in the state, tied #2 North Central in the regular season, and improved throughout the year, pushing some of the best teams all season.

Girls Soccer: The Wildcats lost in the first round of the sectional to Cathedral, 4-0. The girls team finished the season with a winning record in the MIC (4-3), good enough for 4 th in the conference. Good job, ladies!

Boys Tennis: SECTIONAL CHAMPS! The Wildcat tennis team defended their sectional title, winning the championship for the 6 th straight year! The team beat Warren Central in the first round 5-0 and then took out Heritage Christian 5-0 to claim the trophy. The Cats advanced to the regional where they defeated New Palestine 4-1 before losing to North Central in the regional final. The Wildcats (11-7) had an outstanding season against one of the toughest schedules in the state. Great job, Wildcats!

Volleyball: The Wildcats (19-8, 5-2 MIC) finished their conference season with straight set wins over North Central and Pike. the Pike game, the senior class was recognized. We had a lot of fun with Mr. Crousore trying to catch serves during the break! This senior class has brought the program to new heights, claiming two Marion County championships and a regular season victory over #1 Cathedral this year. The Cats have now won 6 in a row! They will finish the regular season on the road against Noblesville on Tuesday, Westfield on Wednesday, and the Penn Invite on Saturday, where they are defending champions.

Achieving Excellence, Building Character, Serving Others A special shout out to the many student-athletes and coaches who helped with several community service projects this fall sports season! On Indy Do-Day, our Wildcats helped fill two 2-ton dumpsters with trash and debris at Lee Road Park in Lawrence, and cleared a wooded path near the playing fields. All of our athletes continue to help stock the food pantry, which directly helps our own families in need. The football team, volleyball team, and cheerleaders helped raise money for breast cancer research and the volleyball team also raised money for ALS research. This is just a sampling of the things our athletes and coaches do to help our community. Achieving Excellence, Building Character, Serving Others is not just a motto to us it s what we do and who we are! Great job, Cats!!
