Section 3: Composition/Information on Ingredients Chemical Entity Proportion CAS Number Iron Oxide (Fe2O3) >95% 1309-37-1 Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) <20% 13463-67-7 Section 4: Health Hazard Information Short Term (Acute) Exposure Swallowed: Irritating to the eyes. Seek medical attention if irritation persists. Cement pigment is irritating to the nose, throat and respiratory tract causing coughing and sneezing Long Term (Chronic) Exposure In dust form, it may cause mechanical irritation First Aid Measures Swallowed: First Aid Facilities: Advice to Doctor: May be discomforting. Persons with pre-existing respiratory conditions may be affected to a greater extent Rinse mouth and lips with water. Flush thoroughly with flowing water for 15 minutes. Check for and remove contact lenses. If irritation symptoms persist, seek medical attention. Wash thoroughly with water. Shower if necessary. Move to fresh air, away from dusty area. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention. If unconscious, place in recovery position and seek medical attention immediately. Eye wash station. Treat symptomatically. Section 5: Fire Fighting Measures Fire/Explosion Hazard: Hazchem Code: Flammability: Extinguishing Media: Hazards from Combustion Products: Special Protective Precautions and equipment for fire fighters: None. Cement Pigments are stable substances, compatible with most other building materials. Burning may produce obnoxious sand toxic fumes. Not flammable Use extinguishing agent suitable for surrounding fire None known Wear self-contained breathing apparatus Section 6: Accidental Release Measures Spills and Disposal: Pigment spills are best cleaned up by vacuum device. Where sweeping or shovelling is required a fine water spray should be applied to prevent the dispersion of dust into the air. Personnel exposed to pigment powder in confined environments should use relevant PPE. Keep product out of storm water and sewer drains. Dispose of without creating dust. SDS No. CASDS86 Page 2 of 5

Section 7: Handling and Storage Handling: Storage: Storage of pigment may be in containers or plastic lined multi-ply paper bags. Keep in a cool dry environment. Store in original container. Avoid dust formation. Section 8: Exposure Controls/Personal Protection Exposure Limits: Recommendations: Engineering Controls: Fine Dust: 3 mg/m3 TWA measures as inspirable dust Keep exposure to dust as low as practicable, to minimise health problems such as skin, eye and respiratory irritation. Cigarette smoking increased the risk of occupational respiratory disease. It is recommended that all storage and work areas be smoke free zones. All work with pigments should be carried out in such a way as to minimise exposure to dust and repeated skin contact. When handling cement pigments, use local mechanical ventilation or extraction in areas where dust could escape into the work environment. For bulk deliveries, closed pumping systems are recommended. For handling of individual bags, follow instructions below if no local exhaust ventilation is available. Work areas should be cleaned regularly by wet sweeping or vacuuming. If generated dust cannot be avoided follow personal protection recommendations. Personal Protection Respiratory: Ventilation: Flammability: If handling cement pigments, wet concrete, mortar or grout personnel should wear loose comfortable protective clothing and impervious boots. Apply barrier cream to hands or wear gloves (AS 2161). Wash skin thoroughly after handling. Wash work clothing regularly and separately from other clothing. It is recommended workers should shower with soap and water. Safety Glasses with side shields or safety goggles (dust resistant AS/NZ 1336) should be worn in areas if dust is likely to be generated. In dusty environments use a filter mask AS1715 and AS1716 (Class P1 or P2) and tight fitting goggles (AS/NZS 1336). Use only respirators that bear the Australian Standards mark and are fitted correctly. Note that persons with facial hair will have difficulty in obtaining a satisfactory face seal. Local dust extraction and collection may be used, if necessary, to control airborne dust levels Non-flammable. Does not support combustion of other materials.
