Last date for receipt of Players 1 st February 2017 Registration forms (Latest BAI Format Birth Certificates). Allotment of Player ID 5 th February 2017 Last Date of Entries 8 th February 2017. Release of M&Q List by BAI 15 th February 2017. Last date for withdrawals without 19 th February 2017 penalty Draw for the Main & Qualifying 22 nd February 2017. 2. PRIZE MONEY: 2.1 Rs. 8 Lakhs (Rupees Eight Lakhs only) shall be paid to the Players in proportion as per norms (details given hereinafter) without deduction of any Taxes or TDS. Tax / TDS, if any, shall be borne by the host Association. 2.2 The distribution of prize money shall be as per the table in Annexure A of BAI and shall be signed by the BAI observer and placed on the notice board. 3. EVENTS TO BE ORGANISED: 3.1 The tournament will be organised in following Events Men s Singles Men s Doubles Women s Singles Women s Doubles Mixed Doubles
4. MODE OF COMPETITION: 4.1 All the matches in the main and qualifying draw shall be played best of three games of 21 points on a rally point system. However if the number of entries are more than expectation, the Referee in consultation with the Organising Committee and the Observer, BAI may take the decision to conduct the qualifying round matches in best of Three (3) games of 15 points each without extension. 5. ENTRIES: 5.1 The Entries shall be received by BAI as per the existing system with a copy to Org. Secretary. The entries are to be received through Affiliated Units ONLY. It is recommended that all BAI affiliated units should maintain State ID s, at the state level after verifying the original DOB certificates registered in Municipal Corporation / Gram Panchayat / Department of Birth & Death registration office certifying the date and year of the birth. Academies and States to discourage the training to the players found overage as per the report of Medical Commission. Affidavit from parents on 50 rupees stamp paper is to be submitted duly attested by the Notary in original along with duly notarised copy of the Birth Certificate issued by the appropriate Birth Registering Authority. Minimum 30 days are required to allot BAI-ID. Late applications will not be entertained. Without BAI ID number, no entry should be sent by the State Associations and also will be automatically rejected. NO RESERVES LIST SHALL BE MAINTAINED FOR WANT OF A BAI ID. Affiliated Units are requested not to bring any obligations & pressure in this regard. 5.3 At the close of entries, the Tournament Planner will provide the list of participants. 5.4 The list of participants in order of strength will be displayed on BAI website. It shall be the responsibility of the Affiliated Unit and the players to ensure that all the entries forwarded by the Affiliated Units appear in the M & Q (Main & Qualifying) List. After the Last Date for withdrawals without penalty, no complaints shall be entertained for miss out of any entry. BAI will not be responsible for any omissions of names thereafter. 5.5 After close of entries, no alterations such as change of partner, additional entries are permitted. 6. ENTRY FEES: 6.1 The entry fees for qualifying rounds shall be as follows. Singles events of all categories Doubles events of all categories Rs. 500/- per player Rs. 1000/- per pair Players selected to participate in the main draw of any tournament shall not be liable to pay any entry fees. 6.2 The host organizers shall be responsible for collection of entry fees from the players.
7. DRAW: 7.1 The maximum draw size of the main draw shall be as under: Referee should adhere this rule strictly. WITHDRAWALS: 8.1 If there are any withdrawals after the close of entries, shall be intimated to BAI immediately by the Affiliated Units with a copy to the organizers before the closing date of withdrawal to avoid fine in the following tournaments. 8.2 Any player failing to participate in any BAI approved tournaments after draw is made, he/she is liable to pay Rs:1000/- ( one thousand ) fine to BAI before participating in next tournament. No exemption under any grounds (including medical) will be allowed in payment of fine. No player is permitted to participate in the next tournament without paying fine. Referee shall submit the withdrawal list to BAI within 24 hours after completion of the tournament to the Secretary(T), BAI & Jt.Secretary, BAI & Convener, TC, BAI (email: sekharbiswas@gmail.com). The Convener, TC will send withdrawal list to concerned Member Associations in consultation with the Secretary (T),BAI. On receipt of the list concerned Member Associations shall collect the fine amount and forward to the concerned Associations. 9. PROTEST 9.1 The fees for lodging protest of any kind shall be Rs. 1000/-. This fee shall be retained by the organizers of the event. Any protest shall be addressed to the Org. Secretary in writing within one hour after completion of the match or 4 hours before commencement match 10. TECHNICAL OFFICIALS: 10.1 The Court Officials shall be nominated by BAI. Referee Dy.Referee Match Control Umpires : One : One : One : 10 members. 10.2 In addition to the Referee(s) nominated above, the Host Organisers shall nominate one Local Deputy Referee, and One Media relation officer with required line judges ( minimum 4 per court) to assist the Referee during tournament. 10.3 All the Technical Officials & BAI Officials shall be provided with the facilities as specified in Revised Annexure B & C of BAI. (Copy attached) 11. EQUIPMENT SPONSOR: 11.1 As per contract of BAI with Yonex, organisers shall be provided with 100 tubes of Yonex AS- 30 Shuttlecocks. Additional shuttlecocks shall be purchased by the organisers. 11.2 Yonex will be entitled to 10 nos. of A Sign Boards per court and 20% of banners placed in the main venue and one sale stall. The cost of making the A boards and banners shall be borne by Sunrise Sports (India) Pvt Ltd.
12. OTHER POINTS: 12.1 The Organizers shall issue a suitable circular with all the details about the tournament to the Hon. Secretaries of Affiliated Units of BAI giving details of Venue, nearby Hotels with Tariff with phone numbers and any other facilities to be provided by the host Association, route, distance from Railway station, Airport etc. Host Association shall not provide any transport from Railway station /Airport to the participants. 13. FACILITIES 13.1 Appropriate staying and food arrangement will be made by Atul Club for all the participating players for the main draw players and the officials. The players for qualifying round will have to make their own arrangement for stay and food.. No accommodation and food will be provided to them by Atul Club. 13.2 ROUTE Atul is located 200 km north of Mumbai on National Highway No. 8 and Western Railway with main rail head at Valsad (8km). Most of the important trains stop at Valsad. Arrangement will be made to pick up the participants / invitees from Valsad if the train details are informed to us in advance. Regular public transport (buses and auto-rickshaw) ply from Valsad to Atul. 14. RAILWAY CONCESSION Railway Concession forms will be sent to the concerned affiliated units of BAI on request to Secretary (T), BAI. 15. NRI Players: The resolution passed in the BAI AGM dated 03-01-2016 and the legal advice so received, it is clarified and directed that the NRI Badminton players having the date of birth certificate of any foreign country may be allowed by all concerned in BAI and all its affiliates / affiliated unit to participate in the State level and National- level Badminton tournaments and also be awarded the ranking points. NRI players should apply for BAI ID at least 30 days in advance before commencement of the participating tournament. 16. DOUBLES ENTRIES & KITTING. a. States forwarding names for Doubles partnering player from other States should have NOC or otherwise names of same pair should come from both the States failing which the entry will not be considered and the entry fee will be forfeited. b. Name of the player & Member Association to be printed on the back side of T shirt as per the norms. c. In pair event, both players should wear the same colour of kitting. d. Pasting of paper, sticker, writing with marker pen is strictly prohibited. Only printing is permissible on T shirt. e. 1 st, 2 nd & 3 rd places in all events shall be presented Medal, Bouquets, certificates beside prize money on the final day ( Completion of each match).
