Lindsey Wilson vs. Indiana Wesleyan Lindsey Wilson Sports Information (270) 384-8071 Women s Basketball Notes Scouting Indiana Wesleyan Indiana Wesleyan is undefeated this season leading to the No. 1 ranking in the NAIA Div. II ratings. The Wildcats are no stranger to NAIA Div. I opponents, claiming wins against 16th ranked Xavier (La.) 59-45 and 12th ranked Campbellsville (Ky.) 62-60. Indiana Wesleyan s games haven t been close this season, as it is averaging 75 points per game and giving up just 48. Only three games have been decided by less than 10 points. Wildcat to Watch Krystal Stoneking is known as one of the best players in NAIA Div. II, ranking 19th in the nation in points per game at 18.1. Stoneking also ranks first in field-goal percentage at 63.6 percent and 49th in total rebounds with 89. In the win against Campbellsville Stoneking recorded 23 points and seven rebounds to lead the Wildcats. The Return of Rainey Ashley Rainey made her return to Blue Raider basketball after sitting out the Fall semester against Azusa Pacific on Dec. 10 in Campbellsville and scored 26 points and nine rebounds. From that point on it seems likely that she won t be slowing down anytime soon. On Thursday against Ohio Christian, Rainey added 17 points and 11 rebounds in just 15 minutes on the court. In that small window the junior from Bowling Green, Ky., went 7-for-7 from the field and dished out three assists. She continued her strong play against Cumberland on Friday with a team-high 24 points and 12 rebounds. Lots of Career Highs against Ohio Christian The Blue Raiders beat Ohio Christian 96-39 on Thursday and in the lopsided win numerous Lindsey Wilson players tallied career-high numbers. Most notably freshman post player Ranika Rone set a new high of 13 rebounds. Other career-high standouts include Taylor Lockridge with 12 points, five assists and four rebounds, Samantha Johnson with seven points and four boards, Michelle Copley pulled down six rebounds, Stacia Jo Hill got on the glass for five rebounds and Catelyn Radeck dished out her first assist. December to Remember So Far With today s game yet to be played, Lindsey Wilson has had a december to remember, currently sitting at 6-0 in the winter month. The wins weren t easy either as the Blue Raiders have knocked off two NAIA top-15 teams in Bethel (Tenn.) and Azusa Pacific (Calif.). Wethington Coaches 700th Game John B. Wethington is in his 23rd season as head coach at Lindsey Wilson and Friday s game against Bethel (Tenn.) was his 700th on the sideline coaching the Blue Raiders. Wethington has won 430 of those games which puts him at No. 4 on the all-time wins list among active NAIA women s basketball coaches. Mid-South Conference Standings Team Overall Conf.
