EXIBITORS PLEASE READ: REGULATIONS OF THE SHEPPARTON AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY INC to be held on FRIDAY 12th (Day and Night) and SATURDAY13th OCTOBER 2018. The Shepparton Showground has been declared an ALCOHOL FREE ZONE. No alcohol will be permitted on grounds, $200 fine will apply. Exhibitors are particularly requested to READ REGULATIONS CAREFULLY. -They will be STRICTLY ADHERED TO. N.B: Entries of exhibits are only received subject to the following regullations: RIGHT OF ENTRY AND FEES 1. All general enttries must be made in writing, on forms supplied by the Society, and signed by or on behalf of the exhibitor, and delivered to the Secretary at her office, Showgrounds High St Shepparton, on or before the specified closing dates. The time for closing the entries will be strictly adhered to. NO LATE ENTRIES. POST ENTRIES EXCEPTED. 2. The holder of a Member's Ticket (with one Guest's Ticket) $45, will be allowed free admission to grounds. No cars will be admitted to th Showgrounds except with special exemption from rule obtained from the Registrar or those showing an Exhibitors's car pass. N.B: All exhibits must be the bona-fide property and in possession of the exhibitor at the date of closing of entry. 3. All exhibits must be entered in the name of the owner, who, on making the entry, will receive a ticket with the section, class and number theron. 4. The Shepparton Agricultural Society Inc reserves the right to refuse any entry. 5. All persons who, after entering exhibits (especially of stock) shall be unable, through some unforeseen circumstances, to exhibit same, will be expected to give notice to the Secretary of their inability to exhibit before Friday 11th September. Post entries excepted. 6. All exhibits must be in the showgrounds, and placed ready for judging at time and date shown at head of each section. 7. No person shall show the same exhibit or part of exhibit in more than one class, except in classes marked "SPECIAL" and if eligible. This does not apply to dogs or horses. 8. No exhibit competeing will be allowed to wear any ribbon, badge or mark until it has been finally judged. Only awards granted at the present show of the Shepparton Agricultural Society may be worn or attached to any exhibit on the Showgrounds. Any exhibitor offending is under penalty of $10 for each offence. 9. All debts to the Society must be finalised by the dute otherwise entries and or ground space may be refused at future exhibitions. 10. No exhibitor will be allowed in that section of the yard in which his exhibit is placed during the adjudication, unless with the consent of the Stewards of the class in which his exhibit is entered, and it shall be the duty of the Stewards to prevent any persons interfering with the judges, and, if necessary, order the removal of such offenders from the yard, and the prize (if any) awarded to such person may be forfeited. 11. Deleted. 12. All exhibitors shall permit the Stewards to affix their prize cards notifying the awards of the judges, and shall permit same to remain affixed during the continuance of the show. 13-(a) Entries to the Show are accepted subject to the rules and regulations and by-laws of the Society and of the Show; (b) the entrant agrees to be bound by those rules and regulations and by-laws; (c) the entrant also agrees to abide by all decisions made by the Society, by the Group with which it is affiliated or by VAS LTD pursuant to those rules and regulations and by-laws; and (d) no decision so made shall be called into question by the entrant before any court or other body (whether or not of a similar nature to a court) whatsover. 14. All machinery in motion shall be either securely fenced or be in such position or of such construction as to be equally safe to every person as it would be if it were securely fenced. 15. Each dog must have a lead and the Society's ticket with the number thereon, without which they will not allowed to enter the judging ring. 15a. Boundaries between VCA Dogs and Machinery Stands must be abided by or the offender will be removed from the grounds. 16. Water will be provided for the stock, etc., but exhibitors must provide their own forage, etc., and manufacturers must also furnish price lists at which they can supply the article exhibited. 17. The Committee may withhold any prize when fradulent or erroneous statements have been made regarding an exhibit, and may also withhold all prizessss awarded to exhibitors who have been guilty of false statements of entries. They may be debarred from again exhibiting, and, if members shall be liable to explusion from the Society. Exhibitors may be required to make a statutory declaration regarding their entries if the committee so desires, 18. Should any exhibit, having gained a prize, be disqualified, the next on the list does not necessarily obtain the prize. The Committee of the Society with or without the advice of the judges, shall decide the question.

JUDGES AND STEWARDS 19. JUDGES: No judge shall be an exhibitor in any class in which he acts as judge. 20. STEWARDS: Should a steward happen to be an exhibitor in any class in which he is a steward, he must stand aside during the judging of such class and take no part whatever in it. Stewards are requested to observe this rule. EXHIBITORS, STANDHOLDERS, SIDESHOW "PETS" 21. Dogs must be tied up "inside" floats or trucks or vehicles or caravans. REMOVAL OF EXHIBITS 22. All Dairy Cattle must be on exhibition two days of show. 23. No exhibit, excepting livestock on one-day exhibition, which may be removed at 4.30pm on day of exhibition. TERMS AND TIMES OF ADMISSION TO THE SHOW 24. The exhibition will be open to all Members of the Society who have paid their subscription for the current year on presentation of their member's tickets, which will also admit one guest and such members of their families as do not exceed 15 years of age. The public will be admitted on payment on each day of the show of $20.00 Adults, Primary School Children $6.00, Student with ID card $15.00, Full Pensioners, Senior Card Holders and Veterans $15.00 (NO concession for Health Care Card Holders, Family Day Pass $45.00 ( 2 Adults, 3 Children 5-15yrs)or (I Adult with 4 Children up to 15 years of age) (Cars-see Rule 2). One extra guest's ticket at $10.00 is available to a member only. 25. None but exhibitors and asolutely indispensable attendants on exhibits will be allowed inside the yards on the first day of the show. 26. None but parties having charge of exhibits, and who must present a pass from the Secretary, will be allowed within the yards before the time of opening the exhibtion. 27. No animals, implements, or vehicles except those entering and vehicles bringing exhibits will be allowed in the yards and the latter must leave the yards immediately after discharging their loads. AWARDING OF PRIZES 28. The judges may award a second or third prize instead of a first, or withhold a prize altogether, when the exhibit is not considered worthy. 29. No appeal against the opinion of the judge shall be entertained. 30. CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS: The judge shall award Reserve Champion Ribbons in all horse and cattle classes in which Champion awards are made. The exhibit second in the class to the Champion shall be allowed to compete for the Reserve Champion. 31. When the judge thinks any stock or article worthy of a prize and there is none offered, their awards shall be taken as a recommendation for the committee's consideration. PROTESTS 32. All disputes or protests against exhibitors for infringement of these Rules must be made in writing to the Secretary within one hour of the event, and will be dealt with by the Committee of the Society. Fifty dollars ($50) deposit to accompany each protest, which made forfeited if the Commmittee considers the protests frivolous, and their decisions shall in all cases be final. All complaints against exhibitors or exhibits must be made in writing, signed by the complainant, and handed to the handed to the Secretary by 4.00pm on Sunday, the 14th day of October 2018. Protest Committee: Messrs. D. Tuhan, M. Parker, F. Hocking and L. Ohlin (minimum of three to act). RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SOCIETY 32. THE COMMITTEE WILL GIVE EVERY POSSIBLE FACILITY TO EXHIBITORS, AND EVERY CARE WILL BE TAKEN OF EXHIBITS, BUT NO RESPONSIBILITY WILL BE INCURRED BY THE SOCIETY, EITHER IN RESPECT OF ANY EXHIBIT OR IN RESPECT OF ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE SUSTAINED BY REASON OF AN EXHIBIT. 33.
