Neither the NPS Area 13 Committee, Judges, Stewards or Assistants shall in any way be held responsible or accountable for any theft, accident, injury, loss or damage (howsoever this may be caused) to any exhibit, person, animal, property, vehicles brought on to the showground, any premises used in conjunction with, arising out of or attainable to the show. It shall be a condition of entry that each entrant or spectator shall indemnify the show organisers and proprietors against any legal proceedings arising from any accident or misdemeanor. NPS Area 13 is covered by Public Liability insurance. Competitors should ensure that they hold adequate third party insurance cover in respect of any accident caused by themselves, their family, or helpers, their vehicles or animals when on the showground. 2. The Judge's decision is final. The class ends when the judge dismisses the class. 3. Stallions and colts, 2 years old and over must be suitably bitted and must be in possession of a current NPS or appropriate breed society license unless otherwise governed by their individual Breed Society. 4. In all cases, whips/canes must not exceed 30" in length. 5. Objections to be made in writing to the show secretary, together with a deposit of 40, within one hour of the disputed event. If the objection is upheld the deposit will be forfeited. 6. Correctly secured current British Standard skull/riding hats must be worn at all times when mounted. Handlers of ponies in the In Hand classes aged 14 years and under must wear correctly secured British Standard skull/riding hats. 7. If for any reason the show has to be cancelled; only half the entry fee will be refunded. In no other case will any entry fee be refunded. 8. In all M & M classes, ridden and in hand, ponies must be shown as recommended by their breed society rules, and are restricted to the heights laid down by their appropriate breed societies. 9. All exhibitors must be in control of their animals at all times and any animal considered to constitute a danger will be asked to leave the showground immediately. 10. No telephone entries. 11. The show organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry without giving a reason. 12. The committee reserves the right to substitute judges without warning or amalgamate classes due to insufficient entries in one class. All dogs must be kept on leads. Ring One - Indoors 9.30am The B.S.P.S. LeMieux Heritage M&M Ridden Classes. Judges: Mrs S. Rawding, Suffolk & Miss N. Middlemass, Lancs Ponies owners & riders must be BSPS members before the date of the show to compete in the Olympia classes. Classes will be judged under BSPS rules as per the 2017 BSPS rule and show hand book. Animals must be the correct height for the breed as laid down in the individual breed standards. The 1 st and 2 nd prize winners from each of the following classes will qualify for a semi-final to be held at the BSPS Heritage Championship Show at Arena UK 2017. (The qualification will NOT be passed down the line). These classes are also qualifiers for the BSPS Classic Security UK Ltd Challenge, the BSPS Black Country Saddles, Best Rider. All ponies must be 4 years old and over. Riders any age. Class 1 The B.S.P.S. LeMieux Heritage M&M Ridden Classes. Registered pure bred Dartmoor, Exmoor and Shetland Class 2 -The B.S.P.S. Rider not to have attained their 25 th birthday before 1 st January in the current year. (See rule 7 of the current P(UK) Rule Book.)

Class 9 P(UK) Large Breeds - mare or gelding. 4 years old and over, registered in their approved Pure Breed Society Stud Books of Connemara, Dartmoor, Dales, Exmoor, Fells, Highland, New Forest, Shetland, Welsh A, B, C or D. Rider not to have attained their 18 th birthday before 1 st January in the current year. Class 10 P(UK) Small Breeds - mare or gelding. 4 years old and over, registered in their approved Pure Breed Society Stud Books of Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Welsh A or B. Rider not to have attained their 14 th birthday before 1st January in the current year. Championship Classes 8 10. 1 st and 2 nd prize winners eligible. Not before 1.00pm P(UK) Amateur RiddenM&M Final RIHS Qualifier Judges:Mrs J. Crane, Derbyshire & Mrs S. Rawding, Suffolk The Amateur Final is open to riders who for showing purposes have not engaged in a training programme for riders/horses/ponies, livery, buying, selling or dealing of horses/ponies as a means of deriving a source of income since 1 August 2016. It is expected that exhibitors will enter into the true spirit of this competition and trainers and producers must not entre the ring during the judging process. The directors reserve the right, in their absolute discretion, to refuse an exhibitors entry should they be in contravention of this rule in the directors considered opinion. Owners/Riders must be current P(UK) Annual/Senior/Junior Riders Club Members and the ponies currently registered with P(UK) before the time of entry in order to compete in these classes Class 11 M&M ridden stallion, mare or gelding. 4 years old and over, registered in their approved Pure Breed Society Stud Books of Connemara, Dartmoor, Dales, Exmoor, Fells, Highland, New Forest, Shetland, Welsh A, B, C or D rider any age. Not before 2pm Miniature Horse Classes RIHS Qualifier Judge: Mrs E. Payne, Northants. These classes are affiliated to the British Miniature Horse Society (BMHS), all classes will be run under their rules. Only registered horses owned by a BMHS member may enter. Owners, exhibitors and handlers must be current members and have paid the appropriate BMHS 2017 Showing Levy. Horses to report for measuring half an hour prior to class, unless a 2017 measurement card is held. Height limits for all classes are as follows: - Mini (Small) Midi (Standard) Maxi 4 years old and over 82 cms 87 cms 87 92 cms 3 years old 2 years old 81 cms 79 cms 86 ems 84 cms 86 91 cms 84 89 cms 1 year old 77 cms 82 cms 82 87 ems The first horse only in each class will qualify, or if already qualified the highest place to fourth place only, will qualify from classes 12 17. Class 12 - RIHS Miniature Horse, 3 years old and over fully licensed stallion. Class 13- RIHS Miniature Horse, 3 years old and over mare. Class 14- RIHS Miniature Horse, 3 years old and over gelding Class 15 - RIHS Miniature Horse, 2 year old colt, filly or gelding. Class 16 -RIHS Miniature Horse, Yearling colt, filly or gelding. Class 17 - RIHS Mini Miniature Horse, Yearlings and above Miniature Championship Classes 12 17. 1 st and 2 nd prize winners eligible. (The Champion qualifies for the Supreme Champion of Champions class at the BMHS International Breed Show in September 2016).

Indoor. Ring Two 9.00 am Show Pony and Show Hunter Pony Ridden Classes The highest placed pony in each class or height group where classes have been amalgamated, if owned by an NPS member, in each class will qualify for the final. Qualification may pass down to third place if the first and second ponies are already qualified. Rider to be suitable size for pony. Riders must be 12 years old or over when riding stallions not exceeding 128cm and 14 years old or over when riding stallions exceeding 128cms. The NPS Show Pony Home Produced In Hand National Championship (SUMMER QUALIFIER) Open to registered Show Ponies not to exceed 148cm at maturity, which are either stabled at home or in a DIY yard and which since 1st January in the current year have not been shown by a producer or stabled in a producer s yard other than on a DIY basis or at stud. Ponies shown in these classes must be produced and shown by the owner/spouse, or his/her Immediate family, who does not receive remuneration in cash or in kind from working with horses/ponies. Please enter this class in the spirit it is intended. Competitors who contravene the above will be disqualified. Class 22 Class 23 Class 24 Yearling colt, filly or gelding not to exceed 148cm at maturity. 2 or 3 year old colt, filly or gelding, not to exceed 148cm at maturity. 4 years old or over stallion, mare or gelding, not exceeding 148cm 1st placed ponies from the classes 18 24 are eligible for the Supreme in Hand Championships. The NPS/Kellythorpe Stud Open Ridden Show Pony/Show Hunter Pony Gold Medal Championship SUMMER QUALIFIER) Class 25 Show Ponies / Show Hunter Ponies not exceeding 133cms Class 26 Show Ponies / Show Hunter Ponies exceeding 133cms not exceeding 148 for show ponies and 153cms for show hunter ponies. THE NPS /LP Pallett Equestrian Sands Show Pony/Show Hunter Pony Novice Ridden Championship (SUMMER QUALIFIER) Pony not to have qualified for RIHS or HOYS. Pony not to have won a first prize of 10.00 or more in affiliated Ridden Show Pony/Show Hunter Pony Class (excluding Leading Rein or First Ridden). All ponies in this class must be shown in a snaffle bit. Class 27 Ponies not exceeding 128cms Class 28 Ponies exceeding 128cms but not exceeding 148 for show ponies and 153cms for show hunter ponies. 1st placed ponies from classes 25 28 are eligible for the Supreme Ridden Championships.

Handler any age, expect for stallions or colts where the handler must be 14 years of age or over. Class 29 Small breeds colt, filly or gelding 1, 2, 3 year olds Class 30 Small breeds stallion, mare or gelding 4 years old and over Class 31 Large breeds colt, filly or gelding 1, 2, 3 year olds Class 32 Large breeds stallion, mare or gelding 4 years old and over Championship Classes 29-32. 1 st and 2 nd prize winners eligible. P(UK) Glyn Greenwood M&M In Hand Supreme Championship Judge: Mrs J. Crane Open to Mountain & Moorland ponies Stallion, Colt, Filly, Mare or Gelding, any age, registered with their approved Pure Breed Society Stud Books of Connemara, Dartmoor, Dales, Exmoor, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Shetland, Welsh Section A, B, C and D. Class 33 Small breeds colt, filly or gelding 1, 2, 3 year olds Class 34 Small breeds stallion, mare or gelding 4 years old and over Class 35 Large breeds colt, filly or gelding 1, 2, 3 year olds Class 36 Large breeds stallion, mare or gelding 4 years old and over The NPS Kilmannan Stud M&M In Hand Silver Medal Rosette Championship Judge:Mrs N. Oldershaw, The NPS Silver Medal Rosettes are only awarded when the owner of the champion pony is a qualifying or life member of the NPS. The owner s valid membership card must be in the rider s/handler s possession on entering the ring and be produced immediately on request by either the judge or steward. If the owner of the champion is not a member, or the membership card is not immediately produced, the rosette may be awarded to the reserve champion provided they have the required membership card. If the champion pony has previously qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the qualification card goes to the reserve champion pony, providing the owner of that pony is a member of the NPS. The Silver Medal rosette and the qualification card can be awarded no lower than first reserve (third). Foals are not eligible for Silver Medal Championship. NPS Area XI British Isles Area In Hand Championship The winning pony from each of the NPS in hand classes held at the show is eligible to go forward to this championship. There are no specific registration criteria for ponies. The owner need not be an NPS member for the pony/horse to enter this competition or to qualify for the final but will have to become a qualifying or Life member to enter the final. The Supreme Champion and Reserve Supreme Champion ponies at each NPS Area show qualify for the final at the NPS Summer Championship show. If the Supreme and/or Reserve Supreme have already qualified then the qualification may go to the third place, but no lower. NPS Area 13 Supreme In Hand N NPS/Marion Williams Memorial M&M Novice Leading Rein Winter Championship Judge: Mrs N. Oldershaw, Derbyshire Class 37 - Novice M&M Lead Rein, open to registered Dartmoor, Exmoor Shetland, New Forest and Welsh Section A or B mares and geldings 4 years old or over not exceeding 122 cm. Pony not to have won a first prize in any leading rein class. To be shown in a snaffle bit, the leading rein must be attached to the noseband only. The reins must go directly from the bit to the rider s hands. Riders must have attained their 3rd birthday but must not have attained their 9th birthday (riders ages are as at 1st January in the current year, except Leading Rein classes where the child must be at least 3 years old on the day of the class). The NPS The Minns Family M&M Ridden Silver Medal Rosette Championship - Judge: Mr S. Howard A Silver Medal rosette is offered by the NPS for the best registered pony owned by an NPS Qualifying or Life member in the M&M ridden section. These classes are judged under the NPS rules. The rosette is only awarded when the owner of the champion pony is a qualifying or life member of the NPS. If the owner of the champion is not a member, the rosette may be awarded to the reserve champion. If the champion pony has previously qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the qualification card goes to the reserve champion pony, providing the owner of that pony is a member of the NPS. The Silver Medal rosette and the qualification card can be awarded no lower than first reserve (third). Foals are not eligible for Silver Medal Championships. Qualifiers are entitled to compete in the final of the Silver Medal Rosette Championship to be held at the 2017 NPS Summer Championship show. Membership cards must be presented in the ring to receive the medal and/or qualification NPS British Isles Area Supreme Ridden Championship Kindly sponsored by FOLLYWOOD SHOW TEAM The winning pony / horse from each of the ridden classes (excluding WHP Leading Rein and First Ridden classes) held at the show is eligible to go forward to this championship. There are no specific registration criteria for ponies. The owner need not be an NPS member for the pony/horse to enter this competition or to qualify for the final but will have to become a Qualifying member to enter the final. The Supreme Champion and Reserve Supreme Champion ponies at each NPS Area show qualify for the final at the NPS Summer Championship show. If the Supreme and/or Reserve Supreme have already qualified then the qualification may go to the third place, but no lower. Supreme Championship Sashes awarded to Champion and Reserve. Judge tbc. Ring Three 8.30am Working Hunter Pony Performance Class. This is not a NPS qualifier. Open to Working Hunter Ponies and Mountain and Moorland Working Hunter Ponies. This Class will be restricted to the first 20 entries per section. Ponies must be 4 years old or over, riders any age. No spurs and whips not to exceed 30 inches. Competitors may compete as many times as they wish in any section and different riders may compete on the same pony, however, only the overall highest point score for the same pony/rider combination will count towards the overall result 8Fences. Method of Judging Competitors will be given a maximum of 10 points for each individual fence and the Judge will determine how many points to deduct for a knock down or refusal. Three refusals or a fall of horse or pony will result in elimination. A further 20 points will be allocated for style and manners whilst jumping, the pony/rider combination with the highest score will win no marks will be allocated for confirmation and there will be, no individual show. In the event of a tie the pony gaining the highest score whilst jumping will take precedence, if ponies are still tied the highest number of 10 or 9 points scored for individual fences will be used to determine who the winner is. NPS Mountain and Qualifying Rounds These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part breds are not eligible. Please be aware this show is holding winter qualifiers with finals at NPS Spring April 2017, Onley Ground Equestrian Centre, Rugby, Warwickshire ; and summer qualifiers whose finals will be held at NPS Summer Championships, 1st 3rd August, Three Counties Showground, Malvern. Winter Qualifiers: Classes are open to Members and Non-Members of the NPS, but Non-Members will need to become members to enter the finals at the NPS Spring Festival 2017. The NPS General Rules for Showing apply (see NPS website for details). In each class the three highest placed ponies, not already qualified, within the first six places, will qualify. Winnings in the 2016/2017 Novice and Pure Novice Winter Championships will not debar ponies from the NPS 2017 Mountain and Moorland Novice Ridden competitions. Qualification cards will be awarded in the ring. Summer Qualifiers: Qualifying rounds for most NPS competitions are open to ponies owned by NPS members and non-members but only ponies owned by adult NPS Qualifying or Life members are eligible to qualify for the final of the competition at the NPS Summer Championship Show at Malvern August 2017. The highest placed pony, if owned by an NPS member, in each class will qualify for the final. Qualification may pass down to third place if the first and second ponies are already qualified NPS/NAF M&M WHP RIHS: Owner s must be Qualifying or life members to enter the qualifying class. NPS Silver Medal Rosette Championships: These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. NPS Silver Medal Rosettes are only awarded when the owner of the champion pony is a Qualifying or Life member of the NPS. A valid membership card must be in the rider s/handler s possession on entering the ring and be produced immediately on request by either the judge or the steward. If the owner of the Champion pony is not a member, or the owner s membership card is not immediately produced, the rosette may be awarded to the Reserve Champion provided they have the required membership card. If the Champion pony has previously qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the qualification card goes to the Reserve Champion pony, provided the owner of that pony is a member of the NPS. The Silver Medal Rosette and the qualification card can be awarded no lower than first Reserve (third). Foals are not eligible for Silver Medal Championships British Show Pony Society classes. This Show is affiliated to the British Show Pony Society ('B.S.P.S.'), and all persons entering, competing, showing or otherwise taking part in B.S.P.S. classes, whether or not members of the B.S.P.S. are subject to constitution and Rules of this society including the disciplinary procedures, and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of this society. In all classes affiliated to the BSPS, the BSPS Rules take precedence. This Show is a qualifier for the 2017 B.S.P.S. Heritage Championships Show, to be held at Arena UK 2017. The 1st 2nd, 3rd prizewinners in the following classes 3-8 will qualify provided the animal is registered in accordance with Rules 23 and 28 and ridden by a BSPS member. The BSPS Premier League - This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Premier League, the 1st. 2nd. 3rd. & 4th placed ponies in classes 3-8. Qualification for P(UK) 1st, 2 nd and 3 rd placed horses/ponies will qualify for the P(UK) Supreme Championships 2017 and the P(UK) Winter Classic 2017 In order for your qualification to remain valid you must become an Annual A Member before time of entry. Qualification cards will be awarded in the ring and golden tickets will be awarded to the winner/champion of each affiliated section. Membership is not required to enter and the golden ticket is not offered for the Summer qualifiers.
