CHEER OBJECTIVE: GENERAL RULES: CONTEST: Each school will demonstrate their school spirit as a team Each school in attendance has the option to be entered in this contest. A typed or neatly printed copy of your school cheer must be handed in at registration. Any prerecorded music must be labeled and also handed in at registration. Schools will be judged on the following criteria: 1. Individual school spirit (Teams MUST incorporate the school name/school dress/school mascot/school banner, etc.) 2. Enthusiasm 3. Originality 4. Use of the current Year s Conference Slogan (This Slogan should be the theme of the cheer, clear & heard by judges) 5. Appearance (Costumes/outfits optional, not required) 6. The number of people must be a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 or you will not be eligible to win (Please do not incorporate the audience into your cheer as you are limited to 6 individuals) 7. Time is not to exceed 3 minutes WINNERS: All Contest winners will earn points for their school toward the Spirit Award given at the Closing Ceremony. Winners of Cheer Competition will be announced at the Closing Ceremony.

DOOR SIGN CONTEST OBJECTIVE: GENERAL RULES: CONTEST: Each school must identify their individual rooms and its occupants. Each school in attendance must be entered in this contest. A sample door sign must be handed in at registration. The sample door sign submitted at registration must be the same as the door signs displayed on the doors. (Door signs cannot be reproduced at Conference). Schools will be judged on the following criteria: 1. Design s Originality and Creativity 2. Professional Appearance and Presentation a. All entries should have a neat, clean presentation b. Entries need not be computer generated 3. The school name must be shown 4. The names of the students in the respective rooms must be displayed (First Name, Last Initial) 5. It must have the letters CTSO 6. The size can be up to, but no larger than 12 x 15 7. The sign can have no moving parts 8. CTSO FALL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE CONFERENCE PIN DESIGN CONTEST OBJECTIVE: GENERAL RULES: CONTEST: Each school will submit their entry to be considered as next year s conference slogan and pin. Each school in attendance will have the option of submitting their entry for next year s conference slogan and pin. This year s conference slogan and pin are attached as an example of what you are to enter. The entry must be turned in at registration. Schools will be judged on the following criteria: 1. Design s Originality and Creativity 2. Appropriateness of the slogan Slogan is to be created as a part of the pin design Winning entry s slogan will be the theme for the following year s conference and an essential part of the conference, cheer, pin, program & shirt 3. Professional Appearance and Presentation All entries should have a neat clean presentation Entries need not be computer generated 4. Maximum of three colors Including lettering and outlining Various shades of colors, black and white count as individual colors 5. Must include the NEXT conference year 6. Pin Design - Slogan must be contained within a geometric shape (Circle, square, triangle, oval, etc. see samples attached.) 7. Must include the letters CTSO (Career & Technical Student Organization) but not a specific organization, i.e. SkillsUSA, DECA, FFA, HOSA etc. Note: Keep in mind that the pin is to be versatile and cannot favor a particular school. WINNERS: All Contest winners will earn points for their school toward the Spirit Award given at the Closing Ceremony. Winners of Pin Contest will be announced at the Closing Ceremony. The SkillsUSA Board reserves the right to fine tune a design for appropriate printing means after selection process.
