Resort: The Broadmoor Since first opening its doors nearly a century ago, The Broadmoor has offered guests an incredible way to experience the unique beauty of the American West. Today, that tradition is met with warm, genuine hospitality and an unmatched selection of programs and activities that celebrate magnificent surroundings. The Broadmoor covers 3,000 acres with 700 hotel rooms and suites surrounding Cheyenne Lake, three championship golf courses, an award-winning tennis club and internationally renowned European fullservice Spa. When Spencer Penrose opened the Broadmoor in 1918, his charge to each and every employee was to provide a level of service and overall excellence heretofore unattainable in the U.S. but expected throughout Europe. All Broadmoor employees, from resort executives to bellhops, received comprehensive training to enable them to provide meticulous service as well as sustain a high level of employee loyalty. This same level of service is still the standard today. Amenities and services at the Broadmoor include an impressive choice of dining and lounge options in twelve distinctly different facilities from fine French to al fresco American, two swimming pools, three outdoor hot tubs, twenty-four hour room service and much more. SOCIAL EVENTS Pikes Peak Cog Railway In operation since June 30th, 1891, The Broadmoor Pikes Peak Cog Railway is a one-of-akind Colorado adventure that transports you to the 14,115-foot-high summit of Pikes Peak from a safe, comfortable seat on the world s highest cog train. During your journey, the cog railway will transport you across four distinctive life zones ranging from the lush high plains to the fragile alpine tundra. Pristine aspen groves and dense pine forests will give way to serene mountain streams and steep boulder canyons as you climb to the timberline and beyond. You may even be lucky enough to spot local wildlife during your ascension, from elk, deer and bear to playful yellow-bellied marmots and majestic Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep. The Train Route Spanning 8.9 miles of track, the train ride to the summit is an experience within itself. The first third of the trip is along Ruxton Creek in Englemann Canyon, where the steep track follows a cascading stream through dense stands of Englemann spruce, Colorado blue spruce, and Ponderosa pine trees. The train then passes through what is known as "Hell's Gate, which despite its ominous moniker, is just a natural gateway in the mountains. By the time the train reaches Deer Park, passengers may catch a glimpse of local mule deer. At the halfway point, we pass by Mountain View and into the bristlecone pines some of which are over 2,000 years old, making them some of the oldest living things on earth. Once we climb above timberline, trees stop growing and the views become even more expansive. This is also where passengers frequently spot yellow-bellied marmots and Bighorn sheep. The yellow-bellied marmot is the most populous animal on Pikes Peak. During the remaining three miles of the trip, guests can see the eastern stretch the Great Plains beyond the border of Colorado and Kansas. To the south, the Sangre de Cristo (Blood of Christ) Range stretches south to New Mexico. On the western horizon, just slightly to the southwest, lies the Collegiate Range. At the Summit The summit of Pikes Peak is a National Historic Landmark (NHL) that holds a special place in American history. It was this incredible view that inspired Katharine Lee Bates to write the famous lyrics to America the Beautiful after her trip to the summit in 1893. As you stand atop America s Mountain, you will easily understand where that inspiration came from. The summit provides spectacular views of four states, as well as the peaks of the Continental Divide, the cities of Denver, Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs, and the historic gold camps of Cripple Creek and Victor. Passengers are allowed 30 to 40 minutes on the top of Pikes Peak, and we strongly recommend that you plan accordingly. During this time, you can take pictures of the magnificent views (the north side of the summit is the most dramatic), as well as enjoy a light meal at Summit House or pick up snacks at the Cog Wheel Market. We also suggest taking Page 5 of 8 (Revised June 17, 2017)

advantage of the café s gift shop and bathroom facilities. In the high season, the Summit House serves thousands of people daily and long lines are common. Passengers can also bring food and beverages purchased from the Cog Railway Market aboard the train. Lunch is included. Spa Visit The journey to whole body wellness is one that transports us to unexpected places, both physically and mentally. The Spa at The Broadmoor is known internationally for its innovative services and integrated approach to health and relaxation. To ensure the most beneficial experience possible, you will be asked to fill out a Health History Questionnaire prior to your spa services, which your practitioner will review with you. Between treatments, we invite you to relax in the Spa's gender-specific dry saunas, steam rooms, aromatherapy rooms or fireplace lounges. Our co-ed Mountain View Room overlooks our lush golf course and the Rocky Mountains beyond, offering an additional space to enjoy quiet reflection and light refreshments. NSGA social attendees will receive a $125 gift certificate for spa services and all will gather for lunch on spa day. Page 6 of 8 (Revised June 17, 2017)

GOLF Designed by master golf course architect, Donald Ross, the original Broadmoor Golf Club opened with the hotel in 1918. In 1958, Robert Trent Jones Sr. was hired to design an additional nine-hole course. The redesign formed the famed East Course. In 1964 an additional nine holes was added by Jones forming the West Course. In 2005, the Mountain Course re-opened, renovated and reconfigured by Nicklaus Design East Course Originally designed by Donald Ross in 1917, Broadmoor East is a championship golf course in the true sense of the word. When completed in 1918, Broadmoor East course was the highest golf course in the United States at 6,400 feet in elevation. It is now a combination of the original Donald Ross design mixed with holes designed by Robert Trent Jones in 1965. The East Course is known for its wide fairways and large greens. The East Course was one of only 12 North American and Caribbean golf courses to receive a five-star rating by Golf Digest. The venue was also ranked number one in customer service among resorts by Golf Digest. With tree-lined fairways and amazing mountain views, The Broadmoor East Course is ranked among the best in the country. It has been home to many major tournaments, including the 1959 U.S. Amateur, which was Jack Nicklaus' first major win, the 1964 U.S. Amateur and the 1995 U.S. Women's Open, which was Annika Sorenstam's first major title. It also served as the host course for the 2008 United States Senior Open Championship. The 2018 U.S. Senior Open will be played on the East Course beginning June 25. West Course Get ready for rolling fairways, multi-level greens, and demanding hazards at the stunning yet formidable West Course. At 6,800 feet, this 18-hole course has more doglegs and steeplyangled greens than the East Course, and offers breathtaking views of both the mountains and Colorado Springs. The West Course plays tighter off the tee, with more heavily tree-lined holes than the East Course, and also gives players an array of spectacular approach shots. Don't let the stunning mountain views distract you; our West Course may look like a postcard, but it offers a very challenging and rewarding round of golf. The West Course was also the host site of the 1998 PGA Cup Matches. A combination of the original 1918 Donald Ross design and the Robert Trent Jones, Sr. 1964 design, the West Course offers guests a challenging course with spectacular views. Now, many years later, his company, Nicklaus Design, brings the legacy full-circle, with a redesign of one of the most beloved Broadmoor golf venues, the Mountain Course. Working in collaboration with Nicklaus Design, a wonderfully scenic and playable golf course has been created. It gives the appearance of being in place since the opening of the property in 1918. The course features wide, forgiving fairways and large greens with beautiful vista views.
