City Reprt Je White reprted the City has requested the use f field #2, 9am-5pm n May 14 th fr LL pening day. HGSA can use field #2 after 5pm n that day. Als, the HHS sftball team has requested the use f field #2 n April 23 rd fr a JV and Varsity game starting at 6pm. We can use their high schl field fr practice n that day. Mercer Cunt Fast Pitch Reprt: Last meeting was Jan. 10 th. Je White was unable t attend but talked t Tiffany M. They discussed last year s expenses and decided t increase the league team fee frm $250 t $300 fr 10u-14u and $150 t $250 fr 18u. Next meeting is scheduled fr February 21 st, 6pm at Pizza Jes. Secretary Reprt: Mike Janw was unable t attend but we need t fllw up with the raffle ticket rder ASAP fr the Feb. 6 th signups. We will fllw the same frmat as LL this year with the raffle ticket payments. The purchase f the raffle tickets will take place at signups and nt when they sell the tickets. City Reprt Je White reprted Neil H. frm the City wuld like HGSA t purchase the Pavilin nets sn s that the City can install them befre grass starts grwing. Shawn M. and Mike J. will investigate the ptins fr the nets. We prefer t stay with the #62 netting same as the High Schl. Als, cnsider ging with 55 lng and need t decide if we need 12 r 14 high nets. Mercer Cunt Fast Pitch Reprt: The next meeting is February 21 st @ Pizza Je s in Mercer, 6pm. Je White is planning n attending. Secretary Reprt: We will need t fllw up with selected caches t verify their current cach s clearances. We are nt ffering 18u SP this year. Hwever, we did have 1 past player inquire abut a team. Je W. infrmed her she culd play with West Middlesex r Sharpsville. We had 32 players register n the 1 st signup day. Cncessin Reprt: Leann Martin vlunteered t assist with cncessin again. She will help Dan and Steve with rdering and purchasing frm Sam s Club, when needed. Treasurer Reprt: Current balance in accunt is $12,647.02 which included the 1 st signups fr registratin and raffle tickets. The past spnsrs were cntacted: Dr. Gulland, Dr. Palitti, Dr. Rth, Scheidemantle, Subway and DQ. We have nt heard back yet frm Dr. Rth r DQ. City Reprt Je White reprted tw nets 12 x14 x55 HDPE #62 square hung kntless with dr, tw black vinyl 5 x6 backdrps and anchrs were purchased frm Ultimate Sprt Gyms fr $1,528.50. They shuld arrive next Wednesday. The City will install the nets. Mercer Cunt Fast Pitch Reprt: Last meeting was March 13 th and was attended by Je White. Finalized number f teams per divisin: 8u-8, 10u-11, 12u-12, 14u-10 Ttal games played by each divisin: 8u-10/14, 10u-12/14, 12u-16, & 14u-18 Scheduling game dates at 7 th Street Educatin Building. 10u April 2 nd @ 4pm 12u April 2 nd @ 6pm 14u April 3 rd @ 6pm 8u teams will pay a $50 MC fee per team t cver game balls. Cncessin Reprt: Shawn reprted vending equipment was never picked up last fall. Secretary Reprt: We will rder the same unifrms as last year. Our tw primary clrs were Red and White jerseys and Black if we had a third team. We will switch t Black t replace the White jerseys fr tw teams in a divisin. We will nly use the White jerseys if we have a third team. Please reprt all equipment issues t Shawn Mulligan. When taking team pictures, please remember t get a picture r plaque fr the team spnsr. Jim Pitts use t supply them free t the teams. Treasurer Reprt: Jhn Catalni reprted the current balance in ur accunt is $16,100.72 ($7,830 incme & $1,876.22 expenses fr 2016), this includes all signups & raffle tickets but n spnsr fees. We have eight spnsrs that have cmmitted t ur teams: DQ, D Onfri, Dr. Gulland, Dr. Palitti, Dr. Rth, Jy Cne C., Scheidemantle, and Subway. We have 101 players registered with the fllwing divisin cunts; 8u-22, 10u-30, 12u-27, & 14u-22. We are recmmending the fllwing number f teams per divisin; 8u-2 teams f 11 players, 10u-2 teams f 15 players each, 12u-2 teams f 13 and 14 players, & 14u-2 teams f 11 each. Reviewed and apprved March 15, 2016 Meeting Minutes as presented. David Gerge made the mtin t accept minutes as written and Shawn Mulligan secnded the mtin and mtin carried. City Reprt Je White reprted the City hung the tw nets. The backdrps were never received but shipped ut this week. The City already installed the anchrs fr the backdrps. Mercer Cunty Fast Pitch Reprt: Last meeting was April 3 rd and was attended by Je White. The 14u divisin was reduced frm 10 teams t 9. Therefre, they are nly playing 16 games this year. The next meeting is May 15 th, 6pm at Pizza Jes. The Final Team Cunts using Red and Black team names: 8u-2 (13 & 12), 10u - 2 (14 each), 12u- 2 (14 each) & 14u-2 (12 & 13 each) 106 players Practice days were assigned and games were scheduled and we have nt heard f any revisins needed. We need t pass ut 18u Signups t the high schl players. Cncessin Reprt: N directrs were present t give a reprt. They need t get cncessin signups ging. Secretary Reprt: The Augusta Sprtswear #527/528 jerseys were rdered again this year. We nly have tw teams per divisin s we are nly using Red and Black jerseys, n white. Managers and caches still need t turn in their clearances. Treasurer Reprt: Jhn Catalni reprted the current balance in ur accunt is $12,686.71 ($11,212 incme & $8,672.23 expenses fr 2016), includes all signups and spnsr fees. Managers will be given their umpire game checks at the end f the meeting. Misc.: Je reprted a Mr. Campbell called him abut his daughter mving t Hermitage frm Califrnia in May. She is 14 yrs. ld and wanted t play sftball this summer. Bth teams currently have 12 players and the Black 14u team gets the next pick. We will try t add her t the Black 14u team, if it is nt t late with insurance and unifrms. Next bard meeting will be May 17 th at 8:30pm at Hermitage Municipal Building. Mike Janw made the mtin t accept minutes as written and Jhn Catalni secnded the mtin and mtin carried. City Reprt The City des nt want t install gravel parking spaces in frnt f Pavilin. They als d nt permit parking n the grass areas arund the Pavilin. They still need t install the turf On Deck Circles n the fields when they find turf. In the meantime they have paint sprayed circles n the field. Shawn asked abut getting garbage cans by the Pavilin. Je White infrmed everyne that the City was getting garbage cans and signage fr use. Mercer Cunty Fast Pitch Reprt: Last meeting was June 5 th t schedule 18u games and was attended by Je White. There are fur 18u teams cmprised f Greenville, Hermitage, Mercer and Sharpsville. Each team will play each ther three times fr a ttal f 9 games. The yearend turnament will be July 25 th -29 th and hsted by Hermitage. 18u registratin was cmpleted with 13 players signing up. They were charge $40 plus the cncessin depsit. 10 f the 13 players n the 18u team will als play in the Mineral Ridge league. They will play half the MR seasn f 10 games. The players paid $40 each t play in the MR league. Cncessin Reprt: Dan Black was nt present but it was recmmend that there needs t be mre cmmunicatin t the parents abut reprting t cncessin duty. Secretary Reprt: 18u unifrms and ASA insurance was rdered. Treasurer Reprt: Jhn Catalni reprted the current balance in ur accunt is $7,776.46 ($15,583 incme & $17,953.48 expenses fr 2016). Spent $4,525 n cncessin investments and $2,016 incme has been received as f May 27 th. Next bard meeting will be August 16 th at 8:30pm at Hermitage Municipal Building. Meeting Minutes August 16, 2016 Attendees: Jhn Catalni, Keith Fusts, Steve Hallas, Steve Hand, Mike Janw, Shawn Mulligan Ed Ohl, Stephanie Rshala, Rick Testani, Michele Truax and Je White. Reviewed and apprved June 8, 2016 Meeting Minutes as presented. Steve Hand made the mtin t accept minutes as written and Shawn Mulligan secnded the mtin and mtin carried. City Reprt Je White talked t the City abut installing a fence arund the Pavilin. He gt a qute frm G&J Fencing n several ptins with maximum cst f $6,650. Kids are vandalizing the new nets. The fence will enable us t prevent this vandalism and enable us t keep equipment inside the pavilin such as pitching machine and balls. The City des nt want t install a fence because they want it pen t the public. Hwever, they recgnize the issue and may be pen t installing a fence with a cmbinatin lck n the gate t give ut t the apprpriate individuals. Shawn Mulligan made a mtin that HGSA wuld assist with purchasing half the cst f the fence, nt t exceed $3,500, if this helps persuade the City t install a fence. Mike Janw secnded the mtin and mtin carried. The On-Deck Circles were never installed with turf n the field. The City used painted circles during the seasn. We will talk t them abut installing clay circle areas instead f turf. Mercer Cunty Fast Pitch Reprt: The next schedule meeting is August 28 th, 6pm at the 7 th St. Building. The meeting will finalize fall ball teams, number f games and game lcatins. 18u seasn went well with Hermitage hsting the playffs. Sharpsville wn the turnament beating Mercer in the finals. Hermitage finished 2 nd regular seasn and 3 rd in YE turnament. The Hermitage 18u team did very well in the Mineral Ridge league ging 9-1-1. It was a gd experience and we shuld lk at it again next year if there are nly a few MC 18u teams. Fall Ball Caches will be Mike Janw 10u, Ed Ohl 12u and Shawn Mulligan 14u. We may have tw 10u teams because f the number f players. Mike will cach bth teams and Steve H. will assist. Caches will cntact Je W. t reserve practice field time slts. Cncessin Reprt: Dan Black was nt present t give a reprt. We will keep the cncessin equipment in case we hst fall ball games. Secretary Reprt: Caches will have t cllect fall ball registratin fees nce we knw number f teams and divisins. Treasurer Reprt: Jhn Catalni reprted the current balance in ur accunt is $10,097.32 ($20,819 incme & $20,868.62 expenses fr 2016). Reviewed and apprved August 16, 2016 Meeting Minutes as presented. Mike Janw made the mtin t accept minutes as written and Shawn Mulligan secnded the mtin and mtin carried. City Reprt Je White talked t the Neil H. frm the City abut the pavilin nets. The City will take them dwn fr the winter and stre them. They will deterirate faster if left ut in the winter cnditins. The On-Deck Circles were never installed n the field. We will remind the City t cnsider clay base On- Deck Circles instead f painting white lines. Next seasn we need t lk at installing lights in the pavilin. Ed Chess was ging t try and push the pavilin fencing issue in ur behalf. Mercer Cunty Fast Pitch Reprt: The last meeting was n Oct. 16 th. During the meeting we discussed fall ball and nminatin f bard psitins fr 2017. The next scheduled meeting is December 11 th, 6pm at the 7 th St. Building. At this meeting bard members will be appinted fr 2017 seasn. The Hermitage 10u and 12u fall ball teams had 19 players and 15 players respectively. Bth teams had enugh players fr tw teams. Special thanks t Mike J. and Ed. O. fr managing the 10u and 12u fall ball teams. Als, thanks t Steve H. and Shawn M. fr assisting. All f the 10u fall ball games at HAC were played ver the six week seasn. The Hermitage 12u team missed ne weekend due t weather at the Sharpsville fields. Cncessin Reprt: Shawn Mulligan reprted that any fd that wuld spil is all gne frm the cncessin. It was cleaned up and clers and refrigeratr were unplugged with drs prpped pen. The electrical appliances were als unplugged. The freezer is still perating. Guarnieri s equipment was picked up and returned. The City will winterize the building. Secretary Reprt: During the December meeting, we will cnduct nminatins and vte n bard members fr the 2017 seasn. Treasurer Reprt: Jhn Catalni reprted the Fall Ball Cncessin had a net depsit f $1,246 after expenses f $703.27. The final net cncessin incme fr 2016 seasn was $2,588.73. Our current balance is $11,326.54 ($22,775 incme & $21,595.40 expenses fr 2016). Next bard meeting will be December 13 th at 8:00pm at Hermitage Municipal Building. Meeting Minutes December 20, 2016 Attendees: Dan Black, Jhn Catalni, Keith Fusts, Steve Hand, Eric & Sheila Jewell, Mike Janw, Ed Ohl, and Je White. Reviewed and apprved Octber 18, 2016 Meeting Minutes as presented. Jhn Catalni made the mtin t accept minutes as written and Dan Black secnded the mtin and mtin carried. City Reprt Je White needs t fllw up with the emails he sent t the City abut the On-Deck circles and fencing arund the Pavilin. We need t lk at installing lights inside the Pavilin next year, if funds permit. Mercer Cunty Fast Pitch Reprt: The last meeting was n Dec. 18 th. New Bard Member Officers were elected fr the 2017 seasn. Je White President, Jim Miller VP, Amber Liska & Jen Gilmre C-Secretary & Brent Hanley Treasurer. Next meeting is Jan. 15 th @ 7 th St. Building in Sharpsville. Steve Hand recmmended that we smehw try t get multiple games played n the same day s the cncessin stands can maximize their prfit and make it easier t schedule wrkers. It is difficult t accmplish because caches frm ther cmmunities select their game days per their persnal schedule. Mike Janw will lk at crdinating a Ceremny Day at the fields fr the Hermitage teams n Saturday in mid-may. The Hermitage teams wuld play each ther if we have tw teams per divisin. Cncessin Reprt: There was nthing new t reprt since last meeting. Batting cage nets will be stred in cncessin stand fr winter. Treasurer Reprt: Jhn Catalni reprted we had a net gain f $1,179.60 in the 2016 seasn. The final 2016 seasn accunt balance is $11,326.54.
