Our golf department staff interacts with majority of our customers, whether it s greeting them at the entrance or welcoming them back from a round of golf. As a member of the golf department, you also have the opportunity to learn from some of the most talented golf professionals in the industry. We are a public access daily fee course and host golf tournaments throughout the year, offer memberships for reduced green fees and welcome any and all levels of golfers to our Club. A unique feature our property offers guests is a custom club fitting studio by TaylorMade and Putting Lab by Dr. David Wright, PhD., PGA. POSITION TITLE: OUTSIDE SERVICE PERSONNEL As Outside Service Personnel, it is paramount that you provide superior service to our guest and to do everything possible to make sure the guests enjoy their day. It is your responsibility to have golf carts available for use at all times and to return the carts to the cart facility. Your position interacts with the guests and creates the first and last impression for the guests. Always greet the guests as they arrive in their vehicles, or at the bag drop area, and welcome them to our facility. Direct the guest to the Golf Shop for check in. Greet every guest when they finish their round, welcome them back, clean clubs and assist them with their clubs to either the bag drop or their car. Also, thank them for coming. Check the golf carts for proper charge, safety, cleanliness, and ensure that the carts are stocked with the appropriate amenities and move them to the staging area. All vehicles must be cleaned by following Water Usage Policy manual. Inform the golf shop of any carts that are inoperable and log them on the cart repair sheet. Continue stocking and cleaning inoperable carts. Secure the golf cart storage area and complete the closing checklist at the end of each day. Make sure the golf, marshal, range, utility and snack bar carts are secured in the barn and placed in the cart washing area. Observe and obey all company safety procedures and practices. Help ensure that the golf facility will be kept clean and neat by picking up trash and returning any misplaced items. Page 2 of 5
POSITION TITLE: STARTER As a Starter, it is important for you to understand your role as part of the Golf Operations Department. It is your responsibility, as a Starter, to start golfers according to their tee times, ensure that all golfers are aware of current course conditions, stress the importance of our pace of play policy, and do everything possible to make sure the guests enjoy their day. In our quest to become the leader in the industry, it is paramount that you provide superior service to our guests Confirm the current course conditions each day. Meet and greet customers in a warm, friendly and professional manner. Review the tee sheet and make notations of any potential problems. Accurately start golfers according to their reserved tee time or tournament starting hole. Communicate with the Marshall and golf shop staff to avoid potential pace of play issues. Starters play an integral role in our Pace of Play policy. Before the start of play, each golfer MUST be informed of our policy and the steps we will take to guarantee that it is followed. Assist Outside Service Personnel and Marshall, as needed. Assist in all tournament operations and set up, as needed. Page 3 of 5
POSITION TITLE: MARSHALL As a Marshall, it is important for you to understand your role as part of the Golf Operations Department. It is your responsibility, as a Marshall, to monitor pace of play, ensure that all golfers adhere to our pace of play policy, and do everything possible to make sure the guests enjoy their day. In our quest to become the leader in the industry, it is paramount that you provide superior service to our guests. Ensure that our pace of play policy is strictly followed. Confirm the current course conditions each day. Review the tee sheet and make notations of any potential problems. Use the Time Log Sheet to track actual time of play. Communicate with golfers and assist them with pace of play issues in a professional and courteous manner. Resolve problems that occur between individuals or groups of individuals. Interpret and enforces golf and course rules and regulations. Assist Outside Service Personnel and Starter, as needed. Assist in all tournament operations and set up, as needed. Page 4 of 5
POSITION TITLE: GOLF SHOP ASSISTANT DEPARTMENT: GOLF SHOP As a Golf Shop Assistant, it is important for you to understand your role as part of the Golf Operations Department. It is your responsibility as a Golf Shop Assistant to collect green fees accurately, answer phone calls in a polite and timely manner, accomplish merchandise sales and organization goals, assist with tournament preparation and set up and do everything possible to make sure the guests enjoys their day. In our quest to become the leader in the industry, it is paramount that you provide superior service to our guests. When answering the phones, use the Arroyo Trabuco standard phone greeting. Interact with all guests in a polite and helpful manner. Use proper cash handling procedures when collecting money at the points of sale. Communicate with the Starter and Marshall to get accurate updates on the tee order and pace of play. Be conscience of merchandise sales goals and current promotions. Assist in monthly inventory control counts of the hard and soft goods. Follow the Tournament/Event Coordination Sheet for every event. Assist Outside Service Personnel, as needed. Assist in all tournament operations, as needed. Must be Microsoft Office Proficient and willing to learn Tournament Pairing Program (TPP) program software. Page 5 of 5
