This year, Tri-Cities High School vs. Carver Atlanta High School and Benjamin E. Mays High School vs. Stockbridge High School rivals goes head-to-head to make for an exciting four game Inner City Classic Jamboree. The Inner-City Classic will host a fun filled weekend of events beginning with the Inner-City Classic Prayer Dinner on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 7:00 P.M. On Saturday, the Inner-City Classic will host a four Game Jamboree. The highly anticipated Inner-City Classic Football rivalry games will kick off at 4:00 P.M. Immediately following each game, the Inner-City Classic Post Game Championship Awards will be distributed along with caps, T-shirts, MVP, Offensive, Defensive and Runnerup ceremonies on the field. Since 1992, The Winning Circle, Inc. (TWC) has been challenging students, coaches and athletes on the elementary, junior high, high school, and collegiate levels to educate, encourage and inspire each other and the generations of youth who are quickly emerging as society s leaders of tomorrow. TWC focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference in the inner-cities across America. The TWC Vision is to see inner-cities impacted for our youth and young adults who are greatly at-risk by instilling basic core values of character, integrity, self-control, self-esteem and hope. These core values will lay the foundation for inner-city youth to become positive citizens of our great nation. TWC has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to serving the least, the last, the lost, the left out, and the left behind. This game will serve as a key fundraising initiative to yield the funds necessary to support the following goals: Expand TWC Inner-City to other HBCUs all over the country Expand TWC s programs and presence in the local schools Continue to provide opportunities for community students to participate in TWC hosted summer athletic and enrichment camps. Expand the athletic, arts and tutorial programs in both local schools and HBCUs Establish a TWC Inner-City Leadership Academy where leaders, staff and volunteers can receive formal training for work in the inner-city.
