Schedule of Events Non mandatory meet and greet @ Capt Mark s Bastrop Marina on Friday, September 28 th from 6-8pm. Sign ups available, music, and will run over format/rules. Tournament starts on Saturday, September 29th at 6:00AM. Weigh-in is from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Capt Mark s Bastrop Marina. Shrimp Boil will be included with all entries. Food will be served at 5pm. Door prizes and awards will be given away. The cost is $50.00 per person MAX 4 anglers per team team must fish from same boat. One stringer to be weighed per team consisting of 3 trout (No trout over 25 ) and 1 Slot Redfish. The payout will be all entry fees less expenses. Payout will be as follows: - 1 st place team- 50% - 2 nd place team- 30% - 3 rd place team- 20% **ALL WINNING TEAMS WILL RECEIVE A CHECK FROM CCA HOME OFFICE WITHIN 10 DAYS AFTER TOURNAMENT** Individual Side Pots Available $20 Each Most Spots and Flounder Closest to 15 *Most Spots Redfish MUST be 20 28 Slot. No under or oversized fish will be accepted. *Flounder closest to 15. Must be a legal size flounder to weigh in (14 minimum). Contestants must be members of CCA. Sign up will be available at Captain s Meeting if needed. Tournament Rules 1. All anglers must weigh-in at Capt. Mark s Bastrop Marina 4515 Trammel, Freeport. Blind Weigh-in opens at 2pm and closes at 4pm. MUST BE IN LINE BY 4PM!! 2. Fishing can begin on September 29 @ 6:45AM. You may leave from wherever you choose. 3. Each angler must be a member of the CCA prior to fishing the tournament. Please call CCA Texas @ 713-626-4222 to sign up if you are not currently a member, or sign up at the Captain s Meeting on Friday, September 28th. 4. One (1) stringer per team will be weighed in. Stringer will consist of 3 trout and 1 slot redfish. No trout over 25 will be allowed. Redfish must be slot. 5. Team can consist of 4 anglers max. Only 1 boat per team. 6. All persons in the boat must be entered in the Tournament. 7. Licensed Guides are not allowed to enter this tournament or be on the boats. 8. All fish must be caught by rod & reel in adherence to State Law only during tournament hours. No redfish over 28 and No Trout over 25 will be accepted. 9. Texas waters ONLY! Must adhere to all State and Federal Boundaries. Map attached of offlimit waters in Freeport. 10. Teams must choose fish to bring to weigh in table. No additional fish will be weighed. If fish is over the acceptable length, fish will be disqualified and WILL NOT be replaced by another fish. No Trout over 25 and no Redfish over 28 will be accepted. 11. In case of a tie, the tie will be broken by the stringer that has the heaviest redfish, If still tied the stringer with the heaviest trout will be used to break the tie. In case of another tie is breaker is needed, first team weighed in will break tie. 12. All protests must be made within 15 minutes of posting winners. No Exceptions. 13. All decisions of the Tournament Director and the weigh master will be final. 14. Reschedule of the tournament will be the decision of the Tournament Director/Officials if weather conditions do not permit a safe boating/fishing day. SIDE POT RULES 1. Side pots apply to individual entries and not part of the team entry fee. Entry into the side pot is not required to fish in the tournament. 2. Fish weighed in for Side Pot can be used in team stringer. 3. All anglers entered in side pots must be registered contestants and follow all rules of the tournament. No licensed fishing guides allowed. 4. Side pots MUST be paid in full by start of Tournament 6:45AM September 29. 5. Angler changes may be made only with prior approval of tournament Officials. 6. Illegal fish, by state law, will not be allowed. No redfish over 28 will be accepted for weighin. 7. The selected fish in each category will be chosen by the angler and weighed in, one time, and marked by the weigh master. 8. The winner of Most Spots is determined by which Redfish has most spots. Ties determined by which fish is weighed in first. MUST BE SLOT REDFISH 20 28 9. The winner of Flounder closest to 15 is determined by length closest to 15. Ties will be determined by which fish is weighed in first. LEGAL FLOUNDER ONLY (MINIMUM 14 ) 10. In the event the tournament is rescheduled all side pots will be refunded. 11. Team Name: Team No.: RELEASE, HOLD HARMLESS AND AGREEMENT NOT TO SUE For good and valuable consideration, including without limitation the acceptance of the undersigned's entry or participation in the CCA Brazoria County Fishing Tournament (the "Event") and being permitted to participate in certain related activities, the undersigned, for herself and her personal representatives, heirs, guest, invitees, employees, and team or crew members hereby (1) RELEASES, WAIVES, DISCHARGES, AND COVENANTS NOT TO SUE Capt. Mark s Bastrop Marina and Coastal Conservation Association or its Chapters, subsidiaries, related entities, respective members, volunteers, heirs, successors, assigns, officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors and subcontractors (collectively, the "Releasees") from any and all liability to the undersigned, her personal representatives, assigns, heirs and next of kin, and for all loss or damage, and all claims or damages therefore, on account of bodily injury, personal injury, death, property or other damage of or to the undersigned, her guests, invitees, employees, team or crew, during the Event or arising out of or in any way in connection with the Event or its Rules or related activities or while the undersigned is competing, or participating, regardless of whether caused in whole or in part by the negligence or alleged negligence of Releasees ; (2) AGREES TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS Releasees and each of them from and against all claims, actions, causes of action, damages, liabilities, losses and judgments (collectively, the "Claims") of or by all guests, invitees, employees, and team or crew of the undersigned for bodily injury, personal injury, death, property or other damage which they may suffer or incur during the Event or arising out of or in any way in connection with the Event or its Rules or related activities, regardless of whether caused in whole or in part by the negligence or alleged negligence of Releasees; and, (3) ASSUMES FULL RESPONSIBILITY for the risk or occurrence of bodily injury, personal injury, death, property or other damage of or to herself, her guests, invitees, employees, and team or crew and to her boat and equipment due to negligence of Releasees or otherwise during the Event or while participating in the Event or related activities or while in or on the Event premises, which includes but is not limited to, its common properties, recreational areas, and adjacent docks, piers, and boat slips. Participant further assumes the responsibility for and acknowledges all dangers associated with weather and sea conditions; (4) Anyone entering this Tournament is required to abide by the Tournament Rules. Disqualifications will be determined by a three member Tournament Committee consisting of the Tournament Director, Co-Chair and CCA Texas Representative. Any protest must state the rule violated and be received by the Tournament Director within 15 minutes following the winners being posted. All team participants, including team members, guides and boat drivers are responsible for knowing, understanding, and abiding by these Rules. Failure of any team participant to follow tournament rules or procedures will result in disqualification of the team in violation or non-compliance. Questions and comments concerning any Rule may be directed to the Tournament Director/Co-Chair. In all Tournament matters, the decisions of the tournament committee are final. The undersigned agrees to pay all of the Releases costs of defending all Claims and further agrees that this Release, Hold Harmless and Agreement Not to Sue is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of Texas and that, if any portion of this agreement is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.
